I hate these stupid "epic orchestral covers" of music that's ALREADY epic, like dawg they just add random noise most of the time

Ok, so, I gave Beast Machines one last chance to pull me around, maybe it was just a couple of weak first episodes, hell, I was when willing to look past Nightscream, but episode 6 made me dump the series for what it did to my beloved pookie bear Rattrap

So Beast Wars is easily my favorite Transformers series, but if I had to name one thing I would've changed, I wish Tigerhawk felt like more of an actual blend of Tigatron and Airazor instead of just Tigatron 2, maybe lean into it and have him basically be their child

FUCKING BEDBUGS

Y'all are finna listen to what I'm about to say because SOMEONE has to finally get it out there

These red little SHITSTAINS should all be burning in hell, as someone who once had to deal with these things, nothing, and I mean NOTHING gets me up a wall more than these bloodsucking abominations

And I've GENUINELY seen people argue that they shouldn't all be exterminated because some bugs eat them, well first off all, that's actually a LIE, and second, EAT SOMETHING ELSE

BECAUSE IF I COULD PRESS A BUTTON AND MAKE THESE DIPSHITS GET DROPPED IN A VOLCANO, I COULD DIE TOMORROW HAPPY

FUCK THESE THINGS

Beast Wars Megatron and how he uses his crew

So I've been thinking a lot about how BW Megatron utilizes his underlings, and it's actually pretty interesting when you really think about it

More than anything else, he values usefulness, this is how despite all his treacheries and backstabs, Tarantulas always managed to find himself back in good...well, DECENT graces with Megs, because bar none for the longest time, he was the most useful Predacon, Megatron even used some of Tarantulas's betrayals to his advantage, completely playing the spider bot

This is also why Megatron wasn't opposed to Dinobot possibly rejoining him, in fact I'd argue he WANTED that, since it's no debate that Dinobot was one of the most dangerous combatants, really he only stopped trying to regain the original Dinobot's alliance when he refuses to kill Rattrap, by that point, he'd grown too soft to rejoin Megatron's ranks

Which leaves a burning question, why did he keep Terrorsaur around? Simple, manpower, back in season 1 even the Predacons needed all the man and firepower they could get, plus, Terrorsaur eventually gave up on trying to become leader

Of course, loyalty DOES help, Megs kept Scorpinok around after all, well, until he didn't, but that's probably due to him being next to useless

Inferno was the best of both worlds, not only was he completely loyal, he ACTUALLY got shit done most of the time, which is why I believe him and Quickstrike being destroyed by the Nemesis was an accident, that or Megs had just gone completely insane by that point

Speaking of Quickstrike, all this leads me to him, the one unloyal Pred that Megatron ALMOST follows through with executing, and there're a few reasons for this I think

1: Quickstrike was mainly bluster, he had the right attitude sure, but he rarely was ever able to back it up, the best thing he had going for him was his venom, but he didn't use it that often

2: Up to that point Megs was under the impression that Quickstrike was loyal to him, so the betrayal definitely doesn't help his case

And 3:...He just didn't need him anymore, the manpower and firepower issue was solved by Transmetal II Megatron, so all that Quickstrike ended up being was a traitor with too little to offer, and Megatron probably would've killed him had they not been interrupted

in conclusion, it's cool how Megatron was able to bend most of the betrayals back into his favor in some way

So I tried to watch Beast Machines a few weeks ago right, like, GENUINELY tried, but what broke me was episode one treating the Beast Wars style of transforming as a joke, it really felt like "Pfft maximize is lame, now have this cool FLASHY transformation instead!"

So I tried to scale BW Megatron with TFP Predaking for fun and.....yeah

It's not exact, but it BW Megs is barely taller than a human, and TFP Megatron is gargantuan compared to humans, and that Predaking makes HIM look puny?? Well, here you go
