What do you guys use to find those lesser-known or “hidden” trails that make good cache locations? I’m specifically looking for trails that aren’t inside parks and are preferably accessible 24/7. I’ve been using Overpass Turbo, but I feel like I’ve exhausted most of what I can find with it. Curious what tools or resources other cache hiders use to discover places like this.

Could be a one trick pony, just fun to pull out and use from time to time, or has a weird feature other flashlights don’t normally have.

If the track creators are here in this sub I’d love for them to comment as well and show some love to their tracks.

I’m looking for examples of video games that use a specific fighting mechanic. There’s a horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen with a vertical line that travels back and forth across it, and you have to time your button press to land as close to the center as possible. The closer you get, the more damage you deal.

Does anyone know of games that use something like this?

Hello everyone. I run a family photography business and while my main website pages have been professionally designed by someone, I'm in the process of creating a new page myself to help future families get inspiration/help them prepare for their session.

I'm trying to design a series of photo cards where when you click on a card it brings up a popup with more information. Same photo on the left with information on the right. I originally wanted to have the background blurred behind the popup card but I don't think Showit can create a true modal. I've provided the preview link so you can see what I've created so far. Any tips would be greatly appreciated as I don't have much experience with Showit, and the main part of my website wasn't designed by me. I'm so used to the old school drag and drop builders where you couldn't customize really anything other than font and size. As you can see when you click on the bottom left card, it scrolls up to the hidden canvas.

This page will be filled with many more images for all of the seasons so I'm trying to find the easiest way for a parent to navigate this page without headaches.

For example:

A user opens a website on their phone, selects a song, sings along to a backing track, and receives a score from 0–100% similar to the old school Rock Band games or YARG. The score is then automatically submitted to a leaderboard where people compete to see who can claim or stay at the top.

If this is possible, would it be legal to create this with actual songs, and how much would a project like this cost?

Has anyone ever used GSAK or another program/app to mass update coordinates for a mystery GeoArt series?

I have a GeoArt near me containing 50 mystery caches and I have the correct coordinates for every single cache but I was wondering if there was a way to mass update them all at once. I could make a GPX file but I don’t think it would be attached to the actual cache pages. I spent way too much time trying to see if I could python script automate the process of pulling the questions from the caches descriptions and then having AI provide me with the correct coordinates based on the two answer choices provided. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For some reason I don’t have Catan in my collection yet and was eyeing the Explorers and Pirates expansion. Any other games worth buying that fit the exploration category really well and are fun and replayable.

For those of you who have put combo locked containers inside of an ammo can as a puzzle cache, what containers are you buying to fit inside? I’m seeing a lot of 3 digit combos like cash boxes but not really any 4 digit combos. I made a cache about a month ago with a 4 digit combo locked box on the inside but I built the inside box to fit perfectly.

Hello everyone, my two friends and I are taking a trip up to Cedar Point in July from Virginia and are looking for an escape room to do either on the way up or while we are there.

We are most curious about the Saw themed room at Escape Room - Cleveland but with the Morty app not having many reviews we didn’t want to commit to doing it if it wasn’t going to be fun. There appears to be a lot of rooms based off of IPs but no telling which ones are worth it, and have a good mix of physical puzzles and my favorite electronic puzzles.
