What is the difference between XR and XR+ in terms of the technology used to communicate b/w the camera and the latest XR sync module?

From my understanding without XR at all the cameras use wifi to send audio and video back to the sync module. I think when you enable XR it uses proprietary RF signal to send the Audio and 1080p video (in XR mode) or just 720p video (in XR+).

Is the RF used the same in both modes and just the difference in Audio and Video received changed?

Interesting moment on my 10 year old (beast) P50

No sure if my power cord came out accidently, or if I accidently put it airplane mode somehow...

Anyways, just working away and get "10%" battery alert... WTH, I am plugged in... look down and airplane mode is on. Have never put this machine in airplane mode.. who would.

Panic, save and shut all windows.... looks plugged in, but battery is not charging.

Reboot. same.

shutdown take battery out. Starts up and gets to login screen, login screen shows airplane mode. When I login, it black screens. what the hell is going on....

put battery back in. swap to a backup charger just to rule that out... go walk dog.

Come back in an hour, battery is fully charged. can log in successfully, but still shows airplane mode and battery not charging.

Manually turn off airplane mode and everything is back to normal.

So Airplane mode in windows 10 prevents the laptop from using any plugged in power???

Nightmode/IR etc.

RLC-1212A Camera.

In the first image, I have day and Night set to "Auto", spotlight set to "Night Smart Auto", and Infrared Light set to "Auto".

In this configuration at this time of day I would expect to have the IR lights on until motion is detected and then spotlight should come on and switch to color.

The second image is what I see when I change Day Night Mode to "Black and White" and is what I would expect to see when that is set to Auto. (the configuration I described first).

What is wrong?

RTSP/go2rtc browser zoom

No strictly a reolink question, but I am using go2rtc to stream the RTSP feed from some cameras to a browsers no matter what format I use from go2rtc I cannot "zoom in" using the chrome zoom feature. I no it will just get fuzzier, but sometimes I like to zoom in like that. Any thoughts on that? I have other cameras that have a direct to browser feed and I can do that.

Suddenly dog absolutely does not want to be at parents house

My adopted 6 year old (I've had him 1.5 years after losing my 10 year old) used to love being at my parents house. They live nearby and we visit 2-3 times per week. I had surgery and he had to stay with them for 3 days. By all reports it was a great stay and probably got walked more and probably received more attention than usual and certainly got more treats. They day after my surgery he was fine over there, then maybe the next day he drug his feet when going in the house and will aggressively scratch at the door almost the whole time he is over there. This has been going on for about 6 weeks. I hoped he would just return back to being over there especially I as I return to normal from my surgery.

Parents promise nothing strange happened. I think obvious answer would be just a loud noise spooked him bad. But also started thinking my eyes itch at their place sometimes so think they have always had small mold problem (especially the AC makes my eyes itch) and wonder if he is very sensitive to that now. That occurred to me because yesterday and he seemed happy to go in, but as soon as I opened the door and cool air rushed out he jerked away not wanting to go in.

It's been a real bummer. Any tips/thoughts?

GFCIs in "series" which breaks first

I have two outbuildings each with a subpanel with a single 20 AMP GFCI circuit. These both start at a subpanel on the outside of the house, each with its own 20 amp GFCI in that subpanel at the house. I have noticed during lightnings storms or other events one outbuilding tends to break at the panel at the house, while the other breaks at the outbuilding breaker. I would expect the closest breaker to the event to break first? Or is that not a guarantee? After a recent event I tested to make sure it wasn't between the house and the outbuilding so it is not like a short underground or anything.

Is this KBB private party estimate close?

(window sticker attached)

I have a 2025 Ram I bought new in August 2024. I need to sell it because I cannot drive it anymore. 13,000 miles. Like new condition.

Sticker was 50,020. I paid 49,000 all in with Sales tax, etc. KBB is saying 31,000. That seems really low to me, or does that sound reasonable?

I would think having a year left on the warranty would make it worth more than that.

cheapest water heater (could be portable propane?) for occasional use.

I have a property where the only thing using natural gas is a water heater.

I use hot water maybe once a month to wash things.

The minimum I can get the natural gas bill down to is about a hundred and twenty a month so I am thinking about cancelling the natural gas.

what would be the best either instant electric water heater or even portable propane heater like a pressure washer heater or anything I am not thinking of?

Or should I just get an electric tank and let it sit for 90% of the time?
