I have a friend I sort of have a crush on.

I 22F like my friend, 23M. We met online over two weeks ago and at first I REALLY liked his voice. It’s like the most attractive kind of voice to me and we called online literally everyday to play Minecraft together. I was crushing really hard because I would get butterflies over analysing the small things he did during the calls. E.g. asking my celebrity crush, saying how he doesn’t have a gf, giving me princess treatment in the game bc I kind of suck.

And then a few days ago we were on the phone when he told me spontaneously in the conversation how he’s never been this happy and how he was really enjoying spending time with me because he’d usually do things alone and now he has me. Which makes me feel really good.

I’m crushing on him so bad that I wasn’t able to sleep one night because I kept thinking about him and I even had some stupid dream about him too.

The only thing is that we face revealed to eachother and I know he’s not really my type but at the same time I do like him. He’s not unattractive to me but he’s not very attractive to me either. I found things i find attractive about him to me though which is his nose. I like him a lot too. I have no plans of confessing or anything but I also want to find him more attractive too because his voice makes me melt honestly. It’s stupid but id like some advice if possible. Thanks.

Why do I look so different in the back camera?

I’m so confused. I look good in the mirror and it’s what I’m used to, I take a selfie and a few months ago I looked horrible but now I look good in my selfies on normal camera. But when I take mirror pictures, someone takes a photo of me on their phone or the back camera of my own phone, I look horrible. I wear glasses so when I stand back I can’t see that well but in the mirror i look good so what’s going on? Which is the real me?

I have a question about trans women as a CIS woman.

This is a genuine question and I don’t want to offend anyone by asking this. I want to ask because it’s a question that I don’t understand and I want to because I’d rather understand a group than be transphobic. My question is what does a woman look like to trans women? To become a woman means there must be a look right? Or some definition that someone can transition into but what is that definition? What is a woman? I’m a cis woman and I’m asking because to me there is no look of a woman or else it starts to become incredibly stereotypical. I don’t have a feeling that I’m a woman but I probably just don’t get it because I’m not trans. I genuinely hope I haven’t offended anyone by asking this and if I have I’m sorry.

Update: thank you to all of the comments and I feel like I’ve gotten more of an understanding. What I’ve understood, is that it’s agreed that being a woman has no look and when lots of trans women transition they don’t plan on finding a look of women to transition into, it’s more about feeling comfortable within themselves and looking the way that they want to. The same way, I feel comfortable in certain clothes vs others. I don’t want to just dumb it down to a ‘feeling’ but in my understanding it’s about feeling right with how they look. Thank you again to everyone who commented to educate me!

AITA when my friend and I keep arguing?

This is going to be really long so strap in. I’m 16F and my friend is 17F, turning 18 this year, me turning 17 this year too. We’re in a friend group of about 9-10 people and we keep on arguing over the most useless things in the world.

Argument 1 - (I’m gonna say her name is JD for continuity) JD posted a meme from last year of a tv show that wasn’t relevant this year. Me and my other friend in the group jokingly say, ‘lol that’s so old why did you post it.’ I then left because I viewed it as an off handed comment and she gets into an argument with my other friend and then my friend leaves the chat because she got annoyed. I then join the chat, read it and say that JD needs to chill out because it’s not that serious and it was a joke. She then gets angry at this and says I shouldn’t tell her to calm down because she has every right to be angry. She believes that if you’ve made someone angry, you have the obligation to apologise. I believe the opposite. If you make someone angry then you don’t always have to apologise, especially if it’s over something stupid and unserious. She then says things like ‘learn to read the chat’ because I said that she posted a vid of the guy from last year and that’s why I said that. I kid you not, this drags out for a good hour. I mistakenly said in the beginning that the guy in the video was another guy because they looked similar but I corrected myself almost immediately and she didn’t read it so it got dragged out over nothing.

Over the last like month or so I’ve had about 3 or 4 arguments with this girl over the most nothing situations in the world and it just angers me honestly.

We have had loads of stupid fights like this over tv shows and recently she got into an argument over this stupid things. It’s just her inability to consider another point of view that angers me the most. But I’m not sure my approach to our arguments is right because she will always try and leave it and make herself seem morally superior but I’m the kind of person who likes to solve it immediately because that’s how resentment builds. After all of these arguments we’ve had, I’ve started getting more and more annoyed with her and I just start to ignore her messages in the group chat which is bad and I know that but I just don’t want to hang out with this girl. Especially because people in my friend group are realising it’s not me making the arguments all the time when she argued with another girl in the group and that it’s instead JD making these problems. It should also be noted that her mum has cancer and her parents are lowkey assholes and she’s kind of stuck taking care of her mum which makes me feel bad but my patience with her is so thin.

I threw up 13 times

Im 16 and yesterday I threw up a bunch but before that I had literally just eaten a burger that I had eaten the day before and that my mum had also eaten the same day. My stomach hurt like really bad so I took two paracetamols which I do whenever I start my period and it’s normal. I went to lie down and then I threw up all over my floor. threw up 13 times in total.

I sat on the toilet and threw up like 7? Times until I was no longer able to throw up anything and I ended up just throwing up pure spit and every time I tried to lie down on my back I’d have to get up and throw up but sitting up made me throw up more. It must’ve also been bile because it was fully yellow.

It stopped once I took this one drug and I fell asleep but I know people only throw up when something is really wrong so I’m asking Reddit to please help me and tell me what’s wrong and if I’m going to die in 3 days or something.

I got the ASUS vivobook 16

I got the vivobook 16 oled. It’s got 16 GB, intel core i5-1342 and it’s 16 inch. I want to know if it’s good for gaming (not heavy gaming just like Minecraft and maybe marvel rivals). Much appreciated.

Looking for a good gaming laptop under £600

I kind of need a laptop that will last me until I go to uni (in sixth form currently) and I want to be able to game and work on it. And I need it to be under £600, £650 if we’re pushing it. Help is greatly appreciated.

Just had aspects of tragedy paper and the time was messed so we thought we had 55 mins and we only had 50. My calculations for the time was also way off so I didn’t get to finish my exam and I only wrote 3 paragraphs, 1 tiny paragraph and about the smallest lines for the conclusion. I don’t even think I’ll be able to get good grades with this.

I do English lit a level and I got 19/25 on my protest paper but on my aspects of tragedy papers im getting 12/25 or 14/25. I feel like I don’t really understand what I’m doing in those papers even though I think I’m doing it right. I do death of a salesman and Keats.
