I'll most likely be joining MMMUT Gorakhpur this year. Alongside college, I work as a BGMI esports caster, hosting and commentating online tournaments. It's also a source of side income for me.

To continue this, I'll need a reliable internet connection, my laptop, and the ability to stream/cast for a few hours in the evenings or till midnight with a little loud voice.

Can any current MMMUT students help me with these questions?

• Is the hostel Wi-Fi stable enough for live streaming?
• Are there any restrictions on using laptops or streaming at night?
• Is it realistic to manage this alongside academics and hostel life?

I'm building a real-time BGMI esports broadcast automation platform using Next.js, TypeScript, Firebase (Firestore + Storage + Auth), and OBS Browser Sources.

The goal is to automate tournament production. For example:

BGMI game → OCR/AI detects teams, alive players, kills, placements → backend processes the data → Firestore updates → dashboards and OBS overlays update instantly in real time.

I'm not looking for someone to build it for me. I want to understand the overall architecture and best practices.

Specifically, I'd like guidance on:

- How should the frontend, backend, OCR, Firestore, and OBS communicate?

- Where should OCR run (Cloud Functions, Node.js server, or another service)?

- Should overlays read directly from Firestore or an API?

- How should Firestore be structured for frequent live updates?

- What's the best way to keep dashboards and overlays synchronized efficiently?

- Any recommended architecture diagrams, GitHub repos, blogs, or learning resources for building systems like this?

I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who has built real-time dashboards, broadcast graphics, sports/esports production tools, or similar systems. Thanks!

Need a safe couple-friendly room/flat in Patna for 4 hours on Sunday (24th)

Hey everyone,

I’ll be visiting Patna with my girlfriend on Sunday (24th). We’re looking for a safe and couple-friendly room/flat just to relax and spend some time together from around 2 PM to 6 PM. Budget is around ₹1000.

If anyone knows any decent hourly stay hotels, flats, or apps/services that work well in Patna, please let me know in comments or DM. Cleanliness and privacy matter the most.

Me and my girlfriend are both actually 18 years old. My documents are correct, but her Aadhaar has the wrong DOB and still shows her as 16. We were planning to book a hotel room just to spend time together, but now I’m worried hotels might deny check-in or create legal issues because of the ID mismatch.

She is in the process of getting the DOB corrected, but it hasn’t updated yet. Has anyone dealt with something similar in India? Would hotels accept any other valid ID with the correct DOB, or is it better to wait until the Aadhaar gets fixed?

Not trying to do anything shady — just don’t want unnecessary trouble because of a document error.
