Finally said yes to a Selkie dress!!

Cannot believe I officially pulled the trigger on a Selkie dress for my wedding! I love this new Ivory Organdy Symphony dress + Chantilly corset combo so much I added it to cart as soon I saw them worn together. It has all the bells and whistles I was looking for. The lace. The layers. The off shoulder/ sleeve. I even love the slit!!

Edit***Pics are from their Instagram.

Tried “$180” Hatoya Premium Matcha

I bought Hatoya Etsu when it was $66 and it was during a sale. I ended up paying $49 for 20g. Soon after my purchase they hiked up the price to $180??? That’s honestly insane. Was this matcha even worth the original $49 I spent? Answer is NO, this was my least favorite matcha from my Hatoya purchases so far. It’s on the savory side, which I usually do not enjoy. The umami is 3/5. There is no bitterness or astringency. It is smooth, fresh and you do get the pea type flavor. It honestly gives MK Yugen with savoriness added and a little more umami. The Kaoru, also in their premium line, was much better but they also raised that price from $37 to $45. I would re-purchase Kaoru but only during their bigger sales. That one is 5/5 umami with some bitterness which is right up my alley.

Pop ups in July? (Seoul)

Are there any new pop ups going on mid to end of July? It seems like a lot of pop ups are ending right before I travel to Seoul on July 15th. What’s the best site to keep an eye on any upcoming pop ups and events? Thank you!

Middle delta comfort seat

Why do people spend money and pay for middle delta comfort + seats when there are plenty of available aisle seat in the regular cabin with no middle seat occupant? To me it doesn’t seem worth it but I’m curious to hear others reasoning. For tall folks…is a delta comfort + middle seat with people on either side a better option than an aisle seat with an empty middle seat in the regular cabin?

Edited to add Delta comfort +

Is this dress sheer?

Has anyone bought this style dress from Selkie before? Is it completely see through? Have you found a slip to wear under that works well with this dress if it is? Thank you!

Need Advice - a second feral?

I’ve been feeding this feral girl and she was coming to my porch consistently as a safe place to nap. I made a mistake of leaving water out and treats out around the time she usually shows up. Well…this black male cat also started showing up. Now she doesn’t pop by as much. I’ve seen him in the last week more than her. Today was the first time I’ve witnessed them both showing up to dinner at the same time. He wait until she ate. Then chased after her. She’s spayed (tipped ear), he’s not (no tipped ear). I watched him chased her up multiple trees and I’m a little traumatized for her because I couldn’t help. What the heck do I do! I have been trying to socialize with her to hopefully take her in. I can’t take in a male cat because my girl cat I do already have is very timid and hides from male cats.

Getting to ACL

Impulsively bought weekend 1 Friday ticket. What’s the best way to travel from Round Rock without having to drive and find parking (guessing there won’t be many options anyways..if any). Have lived here many years but will be my first year going! Excited to check this off my Austin activity bucket list. Any other advice welcomed.

I was finally able to get a good look at the feral cat we’ve been feeding for a few weeks. She finally doesn’t completely run off or hop off the porch when we go out and feed her. But looking at her ear it looks like she was already TNR’d is that correct? I read that the ear gets clipped after being spayed.

In that case I’m wondering if someone else is already caring for her as well? Should I still continue my plan to socialize with her for the next months to see if she’s willing to become an indoor cat? I feel like we’ve made a lot of progress in just a fee weeks and our porch is her night time/ rain resting porch now.

I have been using my headphone for a year now. I WFH on my laptop and have been using them for Team meetings. I had to lead webinar with some clients recently and recorded the meeting. Happy to say these headphones sounds great on Team meetings! It sounded like any other headphones. I also do some closed captioning work for webinars and in person meetings. These are nice for hearing quiet speeches for in person recording when people might be far away from the mic or when people talk over each other.

I have a pet cat but have never been a caregiver to a feral one. A stray cat with matted fur started showing up on my porch a couple weeks ago when we were leaving treats out for another very social cat that would come around every few weeks. She was extremely skittish, used to run immediately, now she hangs out on a cushioned chair we set up and uses it as a nighttime/rain spot. She’ll finally eat while I’m outside if I keep some distance and don’t look at her haha progress?

My current cat was my first very own pet and I’m scared as hell about doing TNR on this feral kitty. She doesn’t seem socialized at all and doesn’t make any noise. I’d like to see if I can gain her trust enough to eventually have her as an indoor pet because I don’t know if there are other feral cats around. The other one we left treats out for seems more like an outdoor pet, very social, super healthy and clean looking and like I said doesn’t come around that often. The thought of this scared girl being alone breaks my heart. With how skittish she is, is it realistic she could ever become an indoor cat?

Do I need to keep gaining her trust first before doing TNR? I don’t want to freak her out to where she won’t come around when we made slight progress. Any advice for first timer? Any resources on how to do this in the least threatening way?

Please drop your favorite places to get larger rings, bracelets, necklaces etc. My ring size is 12…most regular clothing stores and website doesn’t go up past 10. I also have an 8 inch wrist and would love to get some bangles or cuff type bracelets that actually fit. I want to look more put together and I feel sometimes adding a long extender to necklaces just doesn’t look very polished.

I rarely even drink alcohol but there’s something about getting coffee and Buffalo Trace on a Delta flight. My ratio is one bottle per one cup of coffee 😂 I ask for this any chance I get when the flight attendants comes by. My man always get a Bloody Maria (tequila instead of vodka). Definitely make the flight go by a lot faster!

Do empty table cells need to be filled in within documents like PDF to be accessible? I’m not seeing anything on WCAG guidance but maybe I’m missing something.

▲ 4 r/HPV

I was diagnosed with high risk HPV last year and have been doing all I can to boost my immune system. My man has been nothing but supportive, thank goodness. We have both been taking Vitamin C, B, D, Zinc, multivitamins and I got into making matcha at home. I had some health issues I wasn’t keeping up with (diabetes and dental work) so I got all that taken care of. I’ve lost 50 pounds since then. Drank a lot more water and trying my best with sleep. I won’t know if my HPV cleared until next month but I do feel SO much better in general. We were getting colds and strep multiple times a year before we did all this. We only got mildly sick once in the last year. Fiance had a wart on his hand for yeeears and tried everything to get rid of it. All of sudden it’s gone. Highly recommend doing all you can to help your immune system just for your overall health.
