US and taxes

For fucks sake can we the people, Democrats and Republicans and independents all come together and agree on one thing.

Fuck the IRS. We don't need to be filing our taxes when they have all the information already. Those who make mistakes end up really hurt. And overpaying??? How is someone forced to pay MORE money if they accidentally overpay.

Like wtf are we doing, why have we not changed the system?

Edit: Would also like to add that the IRS needs to hire a lot more people because there is absolutely NO that no one can ever be able to get ahold of anyone. Like how TF is anyone supposed to clear up a mistake if they can't get ahold of a person to clear up said mistake.

How would you feel if.....

Scenario: Your ex with an abusive past is given custody of the kids for the whole summer and every other Christmas on court orders.

You have a 5, 9, and 10 year old.

The ex's new wife sends a picture of the kids shooting g\*ns. When confronted about the youngest (5), they say it's a BB g\*n. In a video call with the kids in front of the ex and his wife, the kids say it was a BBG. You look it up online and it is a real g\*n. You think the kids were told to lie.

School closures

Across the US schools are closing due to budget cuts.

If you voted Republican you do not give a single fuck about the kids and don't come in here lying and telling us you do. You don't. Everything that you voted for is hurting the next generation. Schools are going to worsen, schools will lose their electives. Either quit lying or quit gaslighting yourself in order to "own the libs" and "always vote Republican no matter what".

Anti-muslim propaganda

I'm an atheist, I specifically hate middle eastern religions with full disdain. The thing is personally, I am not going to hate a person based on their religious beliefs. I am however going to hate you based on your actions. Which seems to be something Christains especially can't seem to figure out for some reason. Why? The anti-muslim propaganda lately is absolutely insane, and even more so the fact that people are falling for it.

But here is the kicker, the thing that really gets me laughing.

The fact that is a lot of this propaganda I often see maga pushing Muslims into being democrat as a means to demonize the Democrats

For how much Christain fundamentalists sure like to talk and post about Muslims, they sure seem to really not understand a single thing about them.

Muslims are most often conservative. They align more with the Republican party and disagree with the Democrat party.

While many in the US do vote for Democrat, that's because of the complete bigotry of the Republican party pushing them away. Like they have no other choice but to vote Democrat because Republicans like to go after them. Muslims are just as bad often times as Christain evangelicals, in the fact that they tend to be very damn right leaning.

Another thing is that maga can't seem to comprehend that US born citizens can be Muslim. The amount of bigotry against them for existing and just doing their own thing like any other US citizen is wild enough until you see them wanting to "deport them", to get rid of them "somehow" (we know how some of y'all want it, just can't say it yet.).

Which also leads me to this lil fun fact: a good chunk of immigrants come from conservative countries that support conservative ideologies.

If the Republican party wanted to increase their numbers, they need to stop attacking their allies and forcing them into the Democrat's party. Which is another reason maga is completely stupid. They're going to still deny, even with everything, that they are racist and uneducated.

Texas schools wtf

  1. Putting religion into school

° Biased and hypocritical, ignoring freedom of religion and the separation of church and state. If other religions aren't allowed to be practiced in school then neither should Christianity. If Christianity is taught, then they should teach about all major religions equally and with the help of local tribes, teach of their beliefs as well.

  1. Teaching kids that divorce is wrong and how harmful it is. (Yeah let's shame kids into staying with abusive partners because- more than likely Christian beliefs);

  2. Anti-muslim propaganda

°Holy sh*t has it gotten bad online to the point that Muslims can't even just shop without being recorded and treated as if they are "overtaking the us". So much so that people have been talking about wanting to deport US citizens who are minding their own business, simply for their religious beliefs. But wow. Did I not see it coming like this for Texas to be working out a curriculum to teach anti-muslim propaganda in favor of Christianity. Cause f*ck freedom of religion now ig? And justification for something bigger to come maybe?

  1. Slavery, segregation, and the civil war.

I don't think I need to say anymore. Seriously how are we letting this happen Texas? I'm just baffled. Not enough people are talking about this.

Anti-muslim propaganda

I don't know the accuracy or the full extent of the subject, just I heard somewhere that here in texas they are working to promote anti-muslim history, as well as alter the history taught about slavery, segregation, and civil rights

Has anyone heard about this and the extent it will go? How are we feeling about Texas education?

Johcorps

I'm not going to go into it. I'm going to keep it short.

Fuck the Trump administration and all the funding they are pulling out of programs like jobcorps. The program really helped me get on my feet when I was 17 and my parents had kicked me out. I got my highschool diploma and my driver's license. I even received welding certifications. They provided free meals that were actually really good, as well as dorms which were alright. They were what they were. They help you get on your feet, make sure you have a place to go, and helped you find a job.

Now so many teens and adults are just being dropped out now without being able to complete their education, many with nowhere to go. Because of the fucking trump administration.

Fuck maga

Always gotta complain about homelessness, but then like to fuck over programs that actually help keep teens and young adults off the street and actually set them up for success.

Alderwood elementary

My daughter will be starting kindergarten at alderwood. I'm excited to have learned it is a bilingual school! I'm however curious about how much Spanish do the kids actually learn? I'm trying to learn and teach my daughter as is but I absolutely suck at it, and often get pronunciations wrong. So I'm hoping the school would aid in her Spanish. But how much do kids actually learn?

▲ 3 r/crows

Concerned about my nephews

We got a lot of crows here* and recently since they are here, I decided to throw nuts out for them which they have really enjoyed. Well today my nephew (13) came running out about how there was a crow in the garden and that he really wanted to shoot it so he begged for the gun to do just that and kill it "to protect the garden" (but obviously for fun).

He has a lot of issues but now I just think he might just be a sociopath and I'm concerned for the crows. Told my daughter to run out there and scare the crows away which she did and he was pissed. 🙃

Part of me hopes if he does something l, the crows take revenge

What we need for the next Disney movie

The princesses are losing their traction. We are tired of the quirky girl. We want something different.

I think we should keep the royal charm but dive back into the classic Disney movies and instead of a Disney princess, bring upon the Disney prince.

Not a quirky relatable prince either. Nor the dorky goofball.

But a genuine heroin prince with who wants to save a whimsy princess for whatever reason

Maybe even add a lil more to it and maybe the girl doesn't want saving but she needs to go with him and uses him to get to something else while he has no idea she is using her. She thinks she's being clever and will just slip away once she has what she wants but over time comes to actually love the prince and then has to figure out her feeling and is she wants to give everything up to be with him or to go back to where she came from. And maybe we could actually have an evil villain? Like a real, genuine, oh this guy is bad kinda villain?

Oh and maybe the prince's companion is a crow or raven

How to start my kid

Other than basic coding I know very little about robotics. I got my 5 year old a Matata robot which is great with teaching basic coding without a screen and being more hands on with the approach. She's really good with it so I wanted to know- What robot set should I eventually look forward to purchasing for her?

I'm already looking at the LEGO robot, so I'm looking at other options. What brand will help her further along the way as she ages and which brand can you get quite creative in?

Any tips?

Alderwood elementary after school care

I'll be moving into an apartment complex right down the street from Alderwood Elementary School in September and my daughter will be entering kindergarten there. I wanted to offer some after school childcare for parents who may need it for about $20/hour.

I can also help with homework (if any), and or math and reading if requested.

I have a lot of books at different levels.

We have a lot of board games, including educational ones like squishyland to help with reading.

Snack (will need to know about allergies).

Basic coding robot.

Arts and crafts.

Educational shows.

Podcasts with such favorites as:

*Wow in the world

*The big fib

*Brains on

*Smologies

*PBS kids

I also work on Spanish with my daughter and enjoy putting on bilingual podcasts such as:

*Bash and Mila

*Hola nature

*Eat your Spanish

.ect .ect

If you are interested, I'll message you with my information :)

If you have any questions feel free to ask away, thanks!

Muslim propaganda

It's getting real bad on social media. Especially on Facebook. It doesn't take that long of scrolling before I find anti-muslim propaganda here in the US and it is awful. It began subtle, then over time it has become more and more extreme as time goes by. Now I'm seeing constant posts with a lot of support pushing the idea of banning Muslims.

Yaknow in the country with freedom of religion- to practice any religion or choose not to. Yaknow the country with the separation of church being a pretty big part of the foundation of the US?

The stepping stones of fascism are being laid out and the US is walking on them. Some even skipping over the stones gleefully as the Trump administration sells our country to large corporations and Israel.

(US) For those between ages 16 and 24

I've noticed a lot of teens and young adults are in here struggling to move forward and struggling to figure out what to do in life. I wanted to reccomend an opportunity that is although currently being gutted by the current administration, it still exists and may be worth looking into.

Jobcorps.

I went when I was 17 and it was the best decision I made. It was free in my locations (abq nm). Free 3 meals a day, dorm rooms, trade school. You can either receive a highschool diploma or aim for a GED while learning and receiving certifications for a trade of your choosing. Different jobcorps offers different classes and some people will even move out of state to receive an education in a different field. Depending on how quickly you finish, you can also go for another trade as well. I also received driving training, permit and eventually a driver's license. At the end they will help you with finding a job as well as a place to live.

If you are eager to get out of your parents house and get on your feet, I highly recommend this program within the US while you still can.

I really hope this helps someone out there 🩵 best of luck!
