Mah Jongg Lessons?

Does anyone know of places that are teaching mah jongg in or near Stamford? I'd love to learn how to play. I don't think I care whether it's the American or Chinese version. Thanks much.

Will Fleur du Sel Caramels Return?

There is nothing I look forward to about fall more than crisp apples with caramel, and my favorite caramels of all time are the Fleur du Sel caramels sold here, but I haven't seen them in store yet. Has anyone seen them or does anyone know if they'll be a return seasonal item?

Stamford Neighborhoods?

I just drove through an area called Hubbard Heights, and I am so completely flummoxed by this city's many - and incredibly varied - neighborhoods. Could anyone who has been here a while tell me what you know about the different neighborhoods, or guide me to a resource where I could learn more? Any insights would be greatly welcome.

Where Can I Craft a Silver Bezel Ring?

I have a couple of stones that I would love to make into rings. I'm up for either being taught how to do it myself, or working with a custom jeweler. Any suggestions for either?

Self-Involved/Self-Referential

My adoptive mom has Parkinsons: she is starting to experience more TD and has had to raise her Rytari (sp?) dosage. I've been noticing that she has become much more self-involved: every subject leads back to her, and it's incredibly frustrating and tiresome, especially when she used to be the person I went to when I needed support. If I bring it to her attention, is it something she can fight/improve, or is this just the progression of the illness and something I need to accept? Thank you so much for having this forum.

[WTT/WTB] Benu EF #5 Nib (Have F Nib for Trade)

Hi, All - I purchased a beautiful Benu pen that I am really enjoying, but the #5 F nib is a little too juicy for me and I'd love to swap it out with an EF. Does anyone have one they'd be willing to sell or trade? CONUS only. Thanks much.

Strong Online Meetings?

Hi, All -

I'm going through something that would be more manageable if I stepped up my meetings. I looked at older threads and saw that people recommended a 7:30pm ET meeting and a 2pm "Front Range" meeting, but I'd love suggestions of other meetings that you find have strong experience, strength and hope. Thanks so much.

Looks Like It's Gonna Open!

Just drove past this storefront on Summer St. again, and it looks like they're on the verge of opening? Does anyone know anything about it? There's a Chef Jiang further north, but I don't think it's Szechuan food.

What's Not to Love About the Pilot CON-70?

The CON-70 converter was $8.74 during Amazon Prime days, so I purchased three of them. I received the first one today and connected it to the brand-new Kakuno EF I also got during the sale, and holy heck it was so much fun to fill! I've never used a piston filler before, and it worked incredibly well. I'm a convert (ha-ha)!

No Ducklings?

I'm used to seeing a brood or two by the marina: I saw one duckling for two days and haven't seen it since. Has anyone spotted ducklings this year? I know the avian flu plus the unprecedented cold decimated the Canadian goose population, but could it have done something to duck procreation, too?

Greater Glucose Sensitivity?

I have a history of hypoglycemia, but since being on 1.75mg of tirzepatide, I haven't craved sugar as much and have been eating a lot less of it. I ate some sour gummy candies (those "Shameless" snacks), and 2 hours later I was so hypoglycemic I was shaking like a leaf, and super-light-headed. Since then, I've been feeling that same sensation much more quickly. Do glp-1s make us more sensitive to insulin/glucose?

Old Greenwich Farmers' Market?

Anyone know if it's going to continue this year, and if so, when it's opening? I just drove by (more excited than I realized), and there were no vendors. Thanks.

Higher Concentration = Stronger Effect?

I finished a starter vial of ProRx Tirz that was 9mg/1ml concentration, and took my first dose of a new 18mg/1ml vial (same ProRx, no addtives). I checked Fat Scientist and used the adjusted amount (8 units for a 1.5mg dose), but my side effects are so much stronger from this injection: more appetite suppression and also more nausea. Is this an experience others have had?

One Month in February - St. Augustine or Sarasota?

We are in our late 50s/early 60s and hoping not to suffer through another brutal New England winter. We'd like to spend the month of February in FL, someplace that has some cultural interest, places to walk, and isn't crazy-hot. We really liked Sarasota but found it difficult to be outside during the day (heat/humidity a little too intense), and have never been to St. Augustine but have heard really nice things about it as a walkable place with mild weather. We'll have a car. Where would you recommend?

Hi, All -

I just treated myself to a Russlock, and it's beautiful but incredibly stiff and surprisingly heavy. I'm also thinking about splurging on a Cheetah cub (I'm female, 5' 3" and have small hands). Any opinions on the best Case locking knife, and why?
