Remember these—Mad Dog McCree, The Last Bounty Hunter, Space Pirates , Corpse Killer, and all the others?
Has anyone ever actually finished any of those FMV shooters? And is there anyone out there who looks back on them fondly?
My dad and I completely fell for the hype back then because of the graphics. Mad Dog McCree was playing on every single TV screen in game stores, and it looked mind-blowing—like, "Wow, we're fighting against real actors!" But usually, after 20–30 minutes, the novelty wore off and the gameplay became either super frustrating or just plain boring.
Some of those actors were hilarious—heavily made up, overacting, with space pirates running around wearing pots and lightbulbs tied on with random wires. It was great for a laugh, but that's not why we bought those games! Even my dad, who was an absolute die-hard fan of shooter games, quickly gave up on FMV titles and went right back to classics like Operation Wolf, Cabal, and other traditional arcade shooters.
Did anyone actually enjoy these FMV games enough to beat one?

The latest game in the franchise came out just a few years ago — in fact, there have been 10 or even more games released based on this franchise over the years! And new movies are still released periodically to this day, getting pretty good ratings.
Besides, the premise of this game and the latest title is almost identical — you could even say the core mechanics are similar in some ways.

Back in the day, I was a die-hard console gamer. On the original PS1, I randomly stumbled upon turn-based tactics like Vandal Hearts and just completely fell in love with the genre. I ended up playing through all the few strategy games available on consoles back then (let's be honest, consoles at the time weren't about strategies at all).
Eventually, I ended up in a local internet cafe where I saw Heroes III and was just blown away with sheer joy in that moment))) "THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!" My mind was completely flipped upside down and then finished off by Fallout 2's turn-based combat.
That was it. Right after that trip, I urgently saved up every penny for my very first Pentium PC, and ever since, all my gaming has been strictly on PC.
Have you guys ever had a turning point like that? Where a specific game (or games) made you buy a PC, or maybe vice versa, a console?
For me, that story was with Panzer General. I literally just borrowed it from a friend to play out of pure boredom. I expected absolutely nothing — the graphics were simple, almost no special effects, just nothing special at first glance. But damn, did it click!
Hundreds of hours and endless replays! It held my attention for so long. Later on, sequels and other turn-based wargames came out, but none of them were quite the same.

Hey everyone! Currently designing a new pixel asset pack featuring toy-style vehicles. The idea is to mix recognizable real-world cars with completely unhinged bonus rides.
So far, the roster includes classic cars alongside wild concepts like a guy standing between two massive donuts as wheels (a little nod to Twisted Metal!), a rolling aquarium, baby strollers, motorized beds, and even a witch on a broomstick.
Since I’m still actively expanding this pack, I’d love to hear your suggestions! What’s the most absurd or hilarious vehicle concept you’d love to see in a set like this?
