Why do very few C tutorials focus on windows platforms?

Hey all! For awhile I have been interested in taking a crack at recreating some C run time libraries on Windows, and I wanted to start by trying to re create Malloc sometime soon. I have however noticed in my endeavors to look at videos and read blogs/articles about people re creating malloc, or other C runtime library functionalities, Everything online I find covering such a topic is always targeting Unix based systems. I would imagine the lack of windows targeted content on re creating these things is a sign that windows does not make it easy to do something like re create the C runtime libraries. Wanted to ask a question here to see if I'm missing something

looking for a motherboard that has 3 or 4 pcie lanes running at minimum x8 and not sharing bandwith

I am looking to create a computer for a personal project. I enjoy engaging in a bit of low level programming, so I was going to try creating a computer I could run software on to treat the computer as a managed network switch. As such I am trying to put a number of PCIE network cards on the computer, and I would like to put 3 minimum, or ideally 4+ 4 port 10gbe PCIE network cards. In order to plug a card like that into a motherboard, it needs to be slotted at minimum into a PCIE slot running at PCIE gen 3 x8.

The only motherboards that I can find that support such a thing are old motherboards on ebay from when 4 way SLI was going around. Unfortunately, all of the motherboards that support SLI are also only running with DDR4 ram. I would LIKE to build a computer that is compatible with DDR5 ram, but from what I can tell that seems almost non existent nowdays, at least at the consumer level. AM 5 CPUs only support 28 lane PCIE connections, meaning I would need to get a threadripper if I were to get an AMD CPU, and run DDR5 in the computer

On the other hand, the only intel motherboards that support DDR5 ram , and 4 8x PCIE connections that I have been able to find seem to be dual CPU motherboards, which seem far more expensive than the 300 - 350 dollar used SLI capable motherboards. If anyone is aware of a motherboard that would fit the bill for what I'm working for I'd be most gracious. if not I will settle for DDR4 motherboards

how does a PCIE ethernet card effect the speed of the network going through?

I've been looking to purchase some network cards recently. Ideally I want to get a few 4 port 10GBe PCIE network cards for a personal project I'm working on, but I'm curious about the potential slow down of trying to send data over four 10 gigabit ports through a PCI bus. Is there a specific gen PCI bus I would be able to plug one into that wouldn't drop the speed of the connection? Or would a PCIE card always throttle the transfer speed of this?

have they fixed medic bots yet?

I haven't played the game in a good while, but is there still no way to keep medic bots from healing the most minor of injuries?

I wish when you told the medic bot to heal, the order list entered another sub menu where you specified the percentage of vitality missing that needs to be met before the bot will attempt to heal

Facebook will not allow me to create an account using my real name??

I'd post a screenshot, but that'd violate rule 2, so I'll just say my name is a name so generic you can find it in the bible. I'm trying to make an account so I can view some groups on facebook, but it keeps yelling at me that I have to use a name that I use in everyday life. Does anyone know what could cause this?
