[PC] [1990s] Poorly drawn educational book?

I was at the LI Retro game convention earlier today, and I came across an interesting PC game. It seemed to be an interactive point&click storybook, and It looked like it was drawn in MS Paint (not *bad* looking per-se, just that it used MS Paint Tools. Likely trying to mimic a storybook or a child’s drawing).

There were two screens I remember seeing. The first one was a town. There were a few streets and buildings on the left, and a big circus tent on the right. It took up a significant amount of screen space. I tried clicking on a few buildings, but they only changed my mouse cursor to a sun/smiley face and nothing else. I then clicked on the large circus tent, which switched the screen to be at a carnival.

Upon entering this 2nd screen, text appeared onscreen which was read aloud. It was describing the circus and the experiences of the protangonist(s). I specifically remember it saying that they saw a woman with 3 breasts, which felt weird to include in a kids game. And it went on about the protagonists getting candy and being scared of the clowns. The voice was very monotone, which made the situation he was describing seem off putting.

If anyone here’s going to LIRetro tomorrow, this PC was right next to the Mario Teaches Typing machine. If that helps.

Does anyone know how this trick was pulled off?

I found this video on twitter, and the post author claims it has something to do with dismounting an invisible Yoshi at the bottom of the screen. I understand that this can be done with the use of the moving platforms earlier in the stage.

My real question is how he managed to despawn that 2nd to last extending block, as it's the only thing preventing me from performing this glitch myself. All help is appreciated!

Is there a way to activate these?

I work at 7/11, and I found a bunch of these hidden beneath the counter. Is there still a way to activate one of them for my own 7 Rewards account? The link 404s, so I assume they must be pretty old.

Has anyone heard this before?

This tune came into my head while driving earlier today. My gut is telling me it’s Earthbound related, but I looked through the OST and I couldn’t find anything like it. Does anyone recognize it?

Switch 1 Pro Controller Disconnecting Periodically

I got my Switch 2 earlier today, and I’ve been using my original switch controller to play TotK (ergonomics are better than joycons imo). About every 20 mins, the controller disconnects from the console, and the last-used input is held down. This is extremely disruptive of gameplay. I updated all my controllers and the issue persists. The only thing that could *maybe* cause interference is a PS5 next to it and the dock itself. Does anyone know of a solution to this?

[EB] Game freezes after waking up

I recently purchased a flashcart and I’m encountering this issue where I can’t move after waking up. Sounds still play, so I can tell the game is running. And I know it’s not an issue with my controller since I can navigate the save menu before I get here. Is this a known issue? And are there any workarounds? Thanks so much in advance.

Modifying palettes with YY-CHR? (SNES)

I'm attempting to use YY-CHR to update the graphics of Infidelity's SNES port of TLoZ. I was successfully able to change the graphics and see that reflected in the final modified ROM, but I can't seem to figure out how to make the correct palette appear in game. I came across a tool called Super Palette Imager which should be able to modify the palettes, but I don't know how I would be able to find these palettes in the rom. All help is appreciated!

Is there a way to search for props?

I want to use this graffiti'd countertop model in one of my builds, but I can't figure out what season it's from, or what prefab/gallery it's in. Is there a way to search through a library of JUST props, without having to manually check thousands of galleries? or am I out of luck?
