Don't you just love obscure sorcerer factions? Anyway, it's a three-way battle between Hunter Orgs, the sub-factions of the Progenitors, and the sub-factions of Cult of Ecstasy for who draws my attention enough to be completed next.

Some people in the comments of my previous post said that people would flock to Sabbat in the thousands in order to get easy power, but I disagree, because there's an easier and more convenient source of power with less drawbacks actively looking for that kind of person

Shinzui is going to start selling their mind control chips was a way to treat addiction and criminal behaviour, while also making life-long customers.

I saw this piece of art and needed to do something with it.

Just to be clear, Project Purebreed isn't canon, but it's probably going to be part of my World of Darkness Unveiled PDF. The idea is that the Wolf Soldiers are complementary opposites to the Black Spiral Dancers.

They're a second attempt at the War Wolves, made with the financial backing of the US military and the expertise of rogue Progenitors. The BSDs are highly willful and chaotic, but the Wolf Soldiers are highly regimented and disciplined, at the cost of independent thought and creativity.

While the BSDs are deformed, the Wolf Soldiers are slowly disfigured by a degenerative disorder caused by their spiritual makeup, which their regeneration fights against. They're purposefully sterile, and born from dog surrogates, and due to being born from dogs, they aren't legally recognised as human, and thus, don't have human rights.

During the Dark Ages, baptism was required to extinguish a Changeling's Faerie Soul. While Banality makes that much easier nowadays, I assume baptisms are still the leading cause.

"Pentex is really making a killing with all these newfangled anti-vampire weapons"

Also, in a world where Fera are widely known to be a thing, governments are 100% going to try to buy or create their own Mockery Breeds to use as super-soldiers.

The Tremere are the kind of people to look up sorcery how-to guides on YouTube, download the video, and then put it through copyright strike hell so no one else can have it

Welcome to Bedlam Asylum. We're dedicated to treating all forms of Quiet. We'll figure out the humane part once we've got a working theory.

A Technocrat Construct dedicated to trying to treat Marauders would make for a killer horror setting.

Do you really think vampires are going to present a unified front in the face of a broken Masquerade scenario?

Marcus Vitel is so hyped and ready for the nukes baby. He's had his doomsday bunker and herd ready for decades now, and whatever childer he has are fully down for the "wipe out the rest of vampire kind and rise from the ashes as the progenitors of a new vampiric race" plan.

Governments: "This is why we need to give our police tanks and military gear. We totally won't use them against anti-Pentex protests"

Any informed modern military, which should be assumed if the military is on the offensive, would cut through any horde of vampires, ghouls, and shovelheads like a hot knife through butter. But the thing is, no intelligent vampire is going to fight a modern military in an open field.

Guerilla warfare and insurgency is playing to their strengths, and fighting vampiric insurgents would be a fucking nightmare. They've got super-strength, superspeed, super-durability, the ability to mind control people and control animals, and can enthrall people with the magical super-drug flowing through their veins.

Of course, that's all rendered moot if they're attacked during the day while they're asleep and vulnerable. Surveillance and drone strikes would be their biggest weakness, but then again, if you wipe out all of the Sabbat's top leadership with a drone strike, you've only made the Sabbat more dangerous and unpredictable, as you've killed the adults in the room keeping everyone else from doing stupid shit.

Everyone hates us now? Oh well, time to see if the Gates of Arcadia have finally opened.

Good chance that they're just catching strays for Threat Null and the Fallen

Imagine having an entire civilisation dedicated to worshipping and empowering you and your entire bloodline, only to step outside and be rendered mortal.

In my mind, North Korea and the Kim Dynasty is the ur-example of what a modern Mage King would look like. Science vs. Mysticism isn't even a debate, since it's secondary to maintaining the means of power. They'll give people magic pills made from all natural ingredients to cure Covid and profess the divine right of the Paektu Bloodline, while building nukes, hacking bank accounts, and giving rogue Technocrats carte blanche to perform whatever biological experiment they want to perform in their labour camps, and there will be no ideological contradiction in doing so.
