Fuel Pump Replacement?

Ok I had the worst luck with buying a second hand bike. First the engine seizure and now there were some wiring issues which are still preventing me from getting it back. The wiring was messed up when PO attached a manual fan-switch and thermostat display. It was fixed but the fuel pump has been flagged as the problem preventing the bike from running correctly when tuning on the dyno. They said it's been tampered with but I would've thought, a rebuild kit for 100 usd would be the ticket but they said best to replace the whole oem unit (i dont have full details on what's going on with this fuel pump but PO denied anyone doing anything to it). Has anyone had to buy a 500usd fuel pump instead of buying the rebuild kits?

2017 Yamaha R6 help with coolant pipe

I found that liquid is weeping out the left side pipe on the radiator. Unfortunately it seems to be engine oil mixed with it? Is it even oil? It's weeping from holes in the material on the tube housing itself and only on this specific piping.

Gas tank venting

This is one of the models that came with a keyed gas cap. Is this tube coming out the front of the tank the breather? Meaning I don't need to run something like this vented gas cap? I would put the OEM gas cap back on but I think the gas tank has been modified to fit the keyless gas cap.

RL engine seized

I got a second hand 2021 450RL with 5,200 miles last weekend. The past owner seemed to have looked after it and there were no major red flags apart from a bad supermoto set-up with chain slapping the rear tire. I rode it about 110miles so far and the other day the engine seized going 75 on a highway. Rear wheel fully locked up and I was skidding out of control for long stretch. I narrowly missed hitting another vehicle. The only things I had done were change the oil and filter with a specified amount (I rode it 4 times after this) and I changed settings on the vortex ecu (old firmware ~2021) from gentle enduro to a trail settings and moved the trim from 6,6,6 to 5,5,5. I was banking on it being a reliable platform as I haven't read anybody having an engine seizing on the RL models but now I have no engine so I honestly wish i wasn't here.

Rear brake light switch

Can anyone assist I can't find the plug for the light sensor switch on the rear. I found one plug on the right side but I think it may have been for the deleted side-stand switch.

Temp gauges

How necessary are these? I'm looking at bike that had a thermostat delete and they had a temp gauge on the dash. I don't like the appearance of it above the gauge, would it be ok to just take it out?

Bike has a vortex ecu, I think I will go find a place to update the firmware

How bad is this?

I hoping some 450RL owners can chime in and say if I should just avoid this bike. These bikes are rare where I live so there aren't many. I went to see this one and the condition was bad but I'm wondering if it's saveable and worth considering if I get a good price?

Main concerns

  1. Scratching to the engine case around the sprocket, I don't know if it's still an active issue. The chain is a DID 520 V0.
  2. Possible leak around the sprocket, the owner said it's just lube and dirt but I'm concerned it's leaking oil around the front sprocket
  3. The owner (2nd) did no maintenance and you can see the mass of oil in the crankcase breather which I find concerning. The odo is 8000km and he said he owned it for 3 months and put on 2000km.
  4. I'm curious what causes these slices on the edge of the rear tire?
  5. When test riding I one time it flamed out with a rather large bang, is this normal?
  6. The neutral light was showing in 1st and second gear sometimes and it wouldn't go into neutral when stationary.

The original wheel-set and parts are included but I feel like I already know the answer to my question after writing this out. I'm just wondering if it's still saveable and worth a shot if I can get a good deal. It's just sad to see such a bike neglected and rotted.

Bought this second hand and it was obviously not looked after too good. I rode it for a year and it was using a lot of oil (1,000km would be down a significant amount on the dipstick). I decided to take it in to a shop to get the top-end done. They said rings were in bad shape and some of the valve seals, so they all got replaced. Long story short, it's still consuming oil in the first 300km, am I cooked? I've had enough with the problems with the bike if so I'm going to sell it.
