Lock screen has ads suddenly. PIN no longer appears.

Just woke up to this mess today. There was no update.I didn't change anything. I've looked for that Glance app I've read causes this and it's not on here. I've double checked all my notification and feed settings and nothing is different. I cannot find a way to shut this off and get my normal lock screen back. So as of right now I can't lock my phone. Just swipe up on this screen and it unlocks. And the Update required notification doesn't say for what app it's for and doesn't go away once I tell it maybe later. Sometimes touching it just unlocks the screen too. Worried this is a virus or something but I have my wifi off all the time so I haven't connected to anything iffy.

Any help would be much appreciated.

HDMI switch dropping signal for a few seconds every two minutes or so.

I'm on my second HDMI switcher. 3 to 1 Switch/PS4/dvd player to the tv. My other tv HDMI ports are dedicated to a PS5 and a Fire Stick.

Both I've bought have done this. The first was a switch with no needed power supply and the second one has one. Both do this same thing no matter what unit the source is out of. It's a clear image. But then there's these drops in signal to a black screen for a few seconds. It's not the tv. And I've tried switching around what HDMI port the switcher it plugged into on the tv.

Any ideas? Is it just that I need an expensive one?

This one is some brand GANA. The other a few years ago I don't remember the brand. I just stopped using both.

Men's hair clipper? One that not only lasts but doesn't need constant tuning.

These things drive me mad. I just want a simple on corded or cordless with the different guards. #2, #4, #8, etc. that I don't have to mess with constantly to make work. I have an electric razor. Blades last forever and stays sharp. I have a small trimmer with guards and a nose hair attachment. Thing has lasted and stays sharp.

Is there not a hair clipper that's just simple like those that needs no fiddling? One out there that doesn't have those darn screws on it where it starts loosening up making it stop cutting and it sounds like tin plates sitting on an off balance washing machine on spin. Too loose it rattles and won't cut. Too tight it's won't go at all. Or one that requires oil on it. By the second use of every one I've ever had I need to keep a screwdriver there with me and half the time spent with it is retightening or loosening those screws to make it work.

Because I'm sick of $30 basic men's haircuts anywhere around here now. And we're pretty backwater.

So is the PS4/5 port unplayable or something? Honestly.

Going by YouTube I see all the typical big cartoon text with some guy's big stupid face that satisfies the algorithm on a hundred videos about the hacking. And going by that you would think it's the apocalypse or something and the game is basically unplayable. Your profile is going to be deleted, your credit card numbers stolen and your house burned down by hackers programming your your PS4/5 to explode.

But let's be real. Is this at worst just like a few dozen people amongst a hundred thousand hacking and that's it? I want to buy the PS4 version. And my gut tells me this is just a matter of idiot flock of seagulls see one fry and all start going after it. And additionally seem to have some axe to grind with the series overall to start with. But just wanted to ask on here among the people actually playing it just to be sure.

So how bad is everyone's veggies, fruit and citrus crops this year?

After that summer level hot spell in March and the lack of any freezing temps this year all mine are the most jacked up they've ever been in the decades of having them all.

I have apples ripening two months early but for whatever reason the tree gave blossoms again this month. Had second sets of blossoms on all my orange and lemon trees this month too. So now the usual December batch is on there all gold ball sized still but now there's additional tiny baby ones too. All of that has never happened before. No almonds at all this year. No berries.

Even my usually green leafed crepe myrtles are odd colored this summer. They've all got a tint of dark brown.

2001 Accord blower motor takes a long time to start

No matter the setting 1-4. What's weirder is it takes longer when the weather is hot. Sometimes 20 minutes of driving. In the cold it usually starts up as soon as I turn the knob upon starting the car.

Changed the blower motor itself and this didn't change anything.

40 amp fuse is good. The electrical connection is good at the motor. The relay seems good unless it's that. Tried tapping it when the blower isn't turning on but nothing.

It just seems to start up finally when it wants to.

Any ideas?

So without knowing anything. What's essentially a PS5 Pro let's say?

I kinda feel like I'm throwing myself in a lion den with this. Never touched a gaming PC before. I don't even understand the pinned guide stuff up top. But I'm curious about them now that everything is going digital on the console side of things anyway. I'm thinking I may as well go this route now. I've been on an iMac for 15 years. And my gaming has only ever been consoles since the SNES days. My understanding of power levels and numbers and such is limited to 32 bit was better than 16 bit and a PS5 is one number higher than PS4. Yeah, I'm a dummy. Never paid attention to what's inside. And pc gaming, it's all about these numbers on all these parts and I don't understand a thing.

On a very 'dumb it down for me to understand' level. What's the sort of prebuilt on Costco or Micro Center for instance that's basically a PS5 Pro? Or slightly above where investing in one, whatever it is will handle 99% of games coming in the next like 6-7 years. I mean in theory. Maybe that's wrong. Idk what to even ask. You know. It'll play FFVII3, Gears, Hades 2, a version of New Vegas that's playable, MCC.

What should I be looking for?

What sort of monitor does one need?

Do these kind of machines need that old yearly subscription to an anti virus? The best part of moving to iMac years ago was being done with that extra expense. I guess I'm spoiled on that now.

How is Sony preventing third party publishers from putting games on disc?

That's been my biggest question today and nowhere have I seen an answer for it. Sony is welcome to put their first party games out there digitally only. That's their choice. But many many PS5s out there are disc ones. The system has a disc drive there to use. How is it they're forcing this on third party publishers? Square, Capcom, Namco, EA, etc. Why and how is this being forced on them too?

Why can't they continue to release their games on disc is they choose? Not that they would. What about games already in print today. No reprinting past 1-2028?

Is Sony just saying literally you can't put out a disc anymore even though the damn thing has a disc slot right there on it and nothing is physically preventing them?

Man, f Sony and this bs.

Any way to save pork marinated too long in ACV?

To sum up the story. My brother thinks he's Bobby Flay but he's just terrible with meats and makes bonehead level mistakes in cooking for someone who binges every Food Network competition of the last fifteen years. And refuses to learn. Anyway. I got left with a pork loin to cook for my family. To smoke it. Which is great, I think I do them well.

But. It's been marinating already in some sort of *chef's kiss* Chef Du Jour marinade of his. I asked. Sugars, most of the spice rack including chili powder, multiple old jams. And ACV. And it's been in this for two days as it is. They want it for Friday. This isn't new. His meats are mush and reek and taste of ACV due to this no matter how it's cooked. In the crock pot is the worst though. Evidently the rest of my family has no taste buds and think this is great and just do not understand this is very very wrong.

But since I'm left with this mess. Is there any possible way to salvage this thing? I already washed off all the sauce that was in the bag with it. And it was sauce. Not marinade. Thick like jarred spaghetti sauce. It's already that slightly greyed color from the vinegar.

I suspect there isn't but I'm all ears. Maybe just throw it in the smoker tonight as the damage is already done.

Change in pooping habit after removal not what expected?

Major tmi. 44M. Had mine removed in late Feb. Was fused to my intestine and my surgeon said is was most likely the cause of what I thought was just IBS or something for the last 20+ years as the way it looked evidently wasn't a indicative of a recent issue. Wouldn't poop for three days then a day with going twice. Diarrhea. Acid reflux, heartburn my whole adult life. Near constant loose stool that had moved to steatorrhea once the gallbladder failing issues really kicked into high gear a year ago. Plus the vomiting of course once I guess the gb fully died. So glad it's out and gone. Wish I could have thrown the thing into the incinerator myself.

Last year my doctor had told me to increase my fiber for general purposes beyond the gb issues. Didn't change anything. But I was expecting the stories about diarrhea all the time once it's removed. Which really wouldn't have been any different really from what life had been like for me the past two decades. I kind of had resigned myself to the fact that that element wasn't going to change.

So heads up with tmi here. But I'm really curious if anyone else has experienced this because man I was not ready for this change.

No diarrhea except once from eating Panda Express this past 3+ months. No constipation either save for the day after surgery with all those drugs in me and they warned me about that. But the change has been well, the size and and amount of poop now is downright shocking. Voluminous. Once a day now too. Enough that once already the toilet had some trouble and I have a great flushing newer toilet mind you. The way I'm assuming all of us pooped back as teens or at least I remember being eating all the time. It can't just be the fiber because I'm still only taking like 18 grams per day. Although the ease of cleanup I believe that's contributing to. I'm assuming it's the gb removal and the intestine being I guess freed or whatever. It's the only thing that's changed.

Anyone else experience this?

Thoughts between a new gas Civic Sport sedan vs a Mazda 3 Sport sedan

I guess I should preface this with I intend god willing to keep this car until it dies. 20 years is my goal. Have a 2010 Corolla bought in 2009 and a 2001 Accord. Will trade in the Corolla with whatever I get. All hard cheap plastic interior. Worse ride than the Accord even at it's age. Only 1 better gas mileage than the Accord however that makes sense. Terrible paint job with it fading and peeling but that's superficial.

I have longterm CVT concerns. Not a Civic hybrid. I've tried calculating my costs with a hybrid and even if gas stays at $6. 50mpg hybrid to 34mpg gas. Between the up front cost of the car, then higher yearly insurance and then the added extra tax at renewal time to make up for lost gas taxes by the fed. It doesn't work out. Plus given my mostly freeway mileage of 52 round trip to work with maybe 6 of those miles being city driving. I'm not using a hybrid at where it's meant to excel.

With a CTV I think my unique elevation drive has to be thought about. Up 300' then down 1300' to work and then back up that grade. Granted it's not big but it gives my 2010 Corolla a workout in a few parts. I feel that's an additional strain on a CVT but granted I've never owned one. Just never hear anything good no matter the brand.

Any thoughts between the two cars would be helpful. I like my old Honda mostly out of my own nostalgia I guess but it's had issues from transmission being replaced under warranty early on to seals on the engine failing. The engine mount bracket having to be replaced.

But I know nothing about Mazdas. The only family input on it is a mother that seems to hate Mazda for some unknown reason she only explains as You don't know anything about Mazda. Why would you want one? You only want one because it's cheap! Of course she knows squat about squat when it comes to cars and likes Ford trucks she has trouble driving and climbing into now. I know the 3 has a real automatic transmission which sounds great. Superficially I think the Civic is sexy while the 3 is very classy looking. And in middle age idk if I'd look stupid in a Civic.

Sorry for the long post. Just late night thoughts on matters and questions.

Whole 15lb turkey on a pellet smoker. 225 or 350?

Not spatchcocking it and I'm using apple pellets. Have a dry rub I'll be putting on it tonight before going to bed.

What's the best temp for getting it to have a really nice smoke flavor? Seems like at 350 it'll be more or less like using an oven and I don't know how much smoke flavor will get into the meat. Could be wrong.

15lb turkey. Smoke on 225 the whole way or only part and 350 to finish?

Basically the title. I've done it twice but for whatever reason, probably since I'm tired I can't remember for the life of me how I did it. I did one spatchcocked and the other whole. This one will be whole with a rub all over it.

Z Grill and using apple pellets.
