Hehe well don’t see these too often … wish the Arteon wagon came to the US.

L'oe Show Question...

So went to L'oe Show this year and it was sick; saw so many cool Audis and VWs... Anyways... lots of cool GTIs had these hood straps that allowed the hood strut to push the hood up halfway so you could see the engine and subsequent mods, but didn't require that the hood just be all the way up and thus blocking the view of the rest of the car.

Does anyone know what these are called and where I can find one? Thanks!

(I already have a gas hood strut installed; just looking for the cool fabric thing that holds it down halfway.)

My 🇨🇭 Rental

I’m a VW-Audi guy; and I’ve had BMWs before so it’s nice to be temporarily back in one. The gas mileage thing on this is incredible. It’s a pleasure through the winding roads of Switzerland, Austria and Italy.

Acquired this amazing S5 Cabriolet in January with about 47k miles.

50k is coming up - her first service. I’ll be taking it to New German Performance (Virginia) for oil changes/liquid moly.

I know the previous owner serviced the car every 10k - but is it overkill if at the next service I go ahead and get the transmission and haldex fluid changed/filters changed/serviced?

I put new summer tires on her (20” Vredestein) and don’t plan many mods. Maybe an IE Air Intake - but otherwise she shall stay mostly stock (except I’ll switch to 19” wheels for winter all-seasons.) HRE wheels have me drooling. She’s a weekend princess - my GTI is my daily.

Also - when is a good time to consider water pump replacement? Thanks in advance for your advice. B8/B9 is such a good generation and I want to keep her. 🎀
