I mean, I guess this is assuming that the Mountain Dew commercial follows any kind of continuity, or that the show and movies share the same continuity. But for all we know, they just might.

But that also gets me to thinking, Lenny wasn't particularly evil, he was barely mischievous, and he was a newborn.

The novelization explanation would make more sense, that it's just really really rare that they're docile, and since Gizmo's multiplied so many times it was bound to happen eventually.

The wording on the website implies the con and the hotel are in the same building, but when I look them up on Google its showing two different addresses. Just wanting to get some clarification since I'm gonna be entirely reliant on uber-ing when I get there.

Also, I've never been to one of these, how big is this con usually? I have experience going to small to medium size cons, but never been to a large one before.

Long ago, I used to go to a website called Dreamworks SKG Fansite, and it had a lot of news regarding Shrek. I specifically remember them saying at the time they had a plan for four sequels and a prequel. And from what I remember, the prequel was going to be about how Shrek left his home wanting to be a knight, with his parents warning him they wouldn't accept him. Once he arrived in Duloc he realized how people treated ogres and that his parents were right, which led to him running away, finding the swamp, and swearing off socializing.

To be clear, I was excited about it when I made plans. But something along the way took the wind out of my sails. I already have a hotel reservation and a VIP ticket that can't be refunded, so even if I don't go its money lost. But I can't get myself hyped up for it, and its in two weeks. I don't want to go just to sit around and be a downer to everyone else though.

Nearly every slapstick cartoon I can think of from the 90s had at least one gag involving a character getting stung to death. It felt like it was particularly gruesome thing to see in the first place, and it was everywhere. It disappeared in the 2000s, came back for a second in the mid 2010s, and seems like its gone again.

Anyone else getting a "Sorry! We are having a technical issue. We're working on fixing it. Please try again later" message when trying to add something from subway to your cart?

I've noticed anytime I watch an old show or movie from my childhood or teens, I get kind of a sick feeling in my stomach that is sometimes accompanied by a headache. Generally anything from 2012 and before has become unwatchable for me. A friend of mine has a kid who goes to the same school we did as kids. He posted photos of something from the school, and while looking at them I got an extremely sharp pain in my forehead. Once I stopped looking at the photos, it went away. Strangely, I do not feel any kind of pain when listening to music from my youth. I thought this was just something strange about me until I spoke to my niece, who said she experiences the same thing. So I'm curious now if more people experience this.

As the song goes, "Who gets stuck with all the bad luck, no one - but Donald Duck."
I always assumed the "bad luck" was just from his perspective. Like, everything bad that happens to Donald is a result of his own greed, impatience, selfishness, etc. So the way he sees it, it's just like, all these bad things happening to him for no reason, which he would consider bad luck. Am I wrong?

At the very least, this is what original Donald feels like. Stuff like Quack Pack just sorta ran with the general bad luck idea.

Ordered Switch 2 from the Atari website, received Switch 1 version. I've seen a couple posts of other people saying the same. Was curious if this was a common thing.
