I would love so much for Regalia to be 100% controllable throughout the entire game, just like at the beginning of Chapter 13.

I would love so much for Regalia to be 100% controllable throughout the entire game, just like at the beginning of Chapter 13.

I'm replaying this game, and I didn't remember that section at the beginning of Chapter 13 where you drive the Regalia and there's a timer. The game suddenly gives you 100% control over steering it, so why only then, for that one section? if you could drive the Regalia as freely from the start as you can in a game like GTA, that would be amazing

Am I the only one who thinks this? I get the feeling that a driving system like this would make the game even more enjoyable, especially since there are so many car sections in it

This is my second time playing this game, and I just found out that I don't have to unlock any perks to change characters. I can just do it right from the start of the game? What??

Is this an oversight? It only works when you press F6, F7 and F8, but the characters in the character selection menu under “B” aren’t added until after you activate the perks. Of course, we know this game had a chaotic development process, so I’m wondering if this might be an oversight related to the keyboard layout, or perhaps a change introduced by patches, where the game initially only allowed you to play as other characters after earning perks, but then a patch was released that granted this ability from the start of the game, yet they forgot to remove the perks from the character progression menu?

In any case, it's a nice discovery, especially since for most of my first playthrough I didn't even know you could play as other characters, lol. And being able to play as them from the very beginning makes the game even more enjoyable 😭

But yeah, it surprised me, and I'm curious what's going on with that. Because FFXV seems to be a game full of surprises lol

I love the combat system, but I've started to wonder. How would you improve the combat system formula from the Kotor games?

I won't lie, I'm a huge fan of these games combat system, and I think they don't get enough credit. They're probably the only games that have managed to make a turn-based system both truly dynamic and feel like a real battle simulation. Actually, it's closer to RTWP, but Kotor still uses turns.

However, this isn't meant to be a post praising this combat system. I'm curious how you would improve the same combat formula used in Kotor 1 and 2 if you could create a sequel. Because despite its many strengths, of course, we shouldn't turn a blind eye to certain shortcomings

Starting with what I would change, I obviously liked the various new features in Kotor 2 that made the game offer more gameplay options. As you know, you could use blasters, you could use your fists, you could use anything. And I appreciate that, but I think it’s a shame that, in the end, it all boils down to Master Speed + Flurry/Fast Blast.

So the thing I would change would be to significantly nerf Flurry/Fast Blast, because, really, it’s a tactic for completely destroying opponents throughout the entire game, from start to finish. I think it’s a shame that there are so many perks in these games, but in the end, it all boils down to destroying opponents using Master Speed + Flurry.

As for Kotor 1, I think it’s interesting that a Sneak Attack is practically essential when playing as a Blaster, and at first it seemed refreshing to me that in Kotor 2, Blasters had become so much stronger that they could essentially replace melee combat, but in hindsight, I think playing as a Blaster in K1 was, to some extent, even more engaging because Master Speed + Fast Blast wasn’t such an overpowered combo, it makes playing as a Blaster really stand out when you have to kill enemies in different ways, like by attacking them from behind. This adds variety to the runes, even though it probably wasn’t the intended way to play. (Or maybe it was, considering that Mission, a character who nominally uses blasters, seems to be designed to be played this way)

In any case, I’d love to read about how people would improve this combat system, because I truly believe it has enormous potential at its core. I think there are many more people here who know this combat system much better than I do, and I’d love to read some of thoughts!

What exactly are the requirements you need to get the Dark Side ending in Kotor 2?

Recently just for a change while playing K2, I tried to get the Dark Side Ending but didn't succeed. I killed all the Jedi and thought that was the trigger that would give me the DS Ending instead of the Light Side Ending, but it wasn't. After the battle with Darth Traya, I still had that conversation and flew off in search of Revan.

And I started wondering, what exactly triggers the DS Ending? Is it force points? I was stuck on that gray point, because I didn't play in a way that involved doing literally everything to earn Dark Side Points.

But honestly, I'm pretty sure that getting the DS Ending required killing at least one Jedi, so either I'm misremembering, which is more likely, or the game just glitched out on me, which is also a possibility lol. But I'm curious about this. I think there are more people here who know the game's mechanics better than I do, so I'm asking a question

According to 100% Star Wars, the Kotor Remake is still scheduled to be re-revealed this year

To start: 100% Star Wars is the person who revealed the issues with the KOTOR remake, the KOTOR 2 port to the Switch problems, and the potential KOTOR 2 remake before any of this was confirmed years later by the vice president of Lucasfilm Games and Stephen Totilo, but he also revealed games like the Battlefront Collection before they were announced. He's definitely a person who has some sources

But let's get to the point. 100% Star Wars first reported in March 2026 and then May 2026 that the reveal is planned for this year, so it seems everything is still on track for us to finally see the re-reveal of the Kotor Remake this year.

I think The Game Awards sounds the most reasonable. I wouldn’t expect anything at Gamescom, because as far as we know, Mad Head Games is in charge of the Kotor Remake (in collaboration with several other Saber Interactive studios), but Mad Head Games is currently in the middle of a marketing campaign for Hellraiser Revival, which is set to launch in October. So the earliest reasonable date for a re-reveal is The Game Awards.

But I think all of this makes sense, given Steve Allison’s recent comments about a potential 2028 release. However, an interesting point in the new 100% Star Wars video is that he said he’d heard the release of the KOTOR remake was also being discussed for mid/late 2027, and after Steve Allison’s slip-up, the CEO of Saber Interactive said not to take those dates (for the John Wick game, the new Space Marine game, and the KOTOR remake) too seriously, because the topic itself concerned microtransactions in Saber’s games, and the dates given were only rough estimates.

So it would be great if a potential announcement of this game this year meant a 2027 release, but it would also make sense if it were early 2028. The marketing campaign for *Hellraiser Revival* will last 15 months, so we can speculate that the *Kotor Remake* will have a similar timeline. With a potential announcement at The Game Awards, that would mean the release would take place in March 2028.

Nevertheless, regardless of my predictions, it’s nice to know that 2027 will most likely be the year when we’ll finally start learning new things about this game on a regular basis, and we’ll finally get to see some gameplay, etc.

Is Kreia really evil? I believe that not.

The more I play Kotor 2, the more I get the impression that Kreia is like a Vergere version of Chris Avellone. A character who does questionable things for a higher purpose, and both have their own distinct views on the Force, which might be considered questionable by standard Jedi. Although Vergere’s aim was far less risky than Kreia’s, after all, Kreia wanted to destroy the Force, the consequences of which could have been very severe. And let’s forget about that Denning-verse retcon regarding Vergere. It doesn’t exist.

But getting to the point, the more I go back to this game - I’ve only just finished my Dark Side replay - the more I’ve noticed some interesting things. Kreia doesn’t really seem like a bad person, she’s more disappointed by the way she was treated by the Jedi Order (I get the impression that the Jedi Order in the Old Republic is really just a bunch of losers lol). Even when we kill all the Jedi Masters, she isn’t actually pleased about it, in fact, she tells us just how much we’ve disappointed her, because she never wanted to kill them. Feeling that she’d been treated unfairly, she wanted to prove to them that they were wrong.

I don’t think Kreia is all that different from the Exile. In fact, they’re quite similar, except that Kreia definitely had many more years of experience. I think we can assume she was a Jedi Master for many years. As a Jedi Historian, too, she had plenty of time to delve into her knowledge. But as for the rest, based on the snippets of history the game offers us, she was probably a law-abiding Jedi. Not least because she trained Revan, who may well have been an extension of her ideals, given that she was accused of her padawans turning to the dark side.

I believe that the problem lay not so much in Kreia’s teachings as a Jedi Master, but rather in the hardships of the Mandalorian War that ensued, during which the Jedi Order certainly did not help, the consequence of this was that Jedi who genuinely wanted to help others were naturally lumped together with the traitors of the Jedi Order. Kreia seems to be someone who greatly glorifies Revan, so I naturally assume that this was precisely the nature of her teachings. In stark contrast to the way most Jedi Masters taught at that time.

Returning to this comparison, however, both Exile and Kreia were exiled and cast out by the Jedi Council, which disapproved of the way they were violating the tenets of the Jedi Order. The Exile was a man who set out to fight in the Mandalorian Wars, whilst Kreia was a woman whose teachings contributed to some Jedi setting out to fight in the Mandalorian Wars. Both were let down by the blind Jedi Order.

What happens next is that Kreia turns to the dark side, becoming Darth Traya, I think we know very little about this period apart from the fact that Darth Sion certainly doesn’t speak highly of her. Yes, this is definitely the darkest period for Kreia, she is subsequently beaten, exiled and, barely alive, leaves the Trayus Academy, adopting a new identity. Kreia.

As a Jedi (perhaps Arren Kae?), we might speculate that she was a rather good person - given the consequences of her teachings, because I believe that Darth Revan was a necessity who, of course, ultimately got a bit out of hand, but as far as his role in the Mandalorian Wars is concerned, he seems to have been absolutely essential - yet later on, she herself became a rather evil figure as Darth Traya. Having learnt from her experiences on both sides, this time she adopted a more neutral view of the Force, she draws on what she learnt as a Sith, but also does not abandon her core identity as a Jedi Master. She abandons the black and white concept of good and evil.

And then we move on to her concept of destroying the Force, she dislikes the manipulative nature of the Force. According to Kreia, the Force is responsible for the endless suffering in the galaxy in the form of wars between the dark and light sides. If there is no Force, this problem will disappear. And the Exile is, for her, proof that even someone who was so deeply connected to the Force is capable of cutting themselves off from it and continuing to function in this world, which in a way reinforces her belief that her plan might make some sense.

In this game, we also have another instance of being cut off from the Force, involving the Jedi Masters when playing as the Light Side, Kreia cuts them off from the Force and they subsequently die, but this is more a sign of just how dependent the Jedi Masters are on the Force. And this is actually what interests me the most:

Even if Kreia’s plan had succeeded, would there be more beings like us, the Exile, who are able to carry on functioning in this world, or would most beings be unable to cope with the loss of the Force and die just like the Jedi Masters on Dantooine?

Of course, we’ll never know the answer to that question. And that’s just as well. As far as I’m concerned, I generally regard Kreia’s plan as simply impossible to carry out. There’s a grand idea behind it, I genuinely believe that Kreia’s goal, although somewhat naïve, is a noble one, even though she seeks to achieve it through means that are at times rather dubious and manipulative. However, I also believe she overestimated her own and would never really have been able to "destroy" the Force. It simply seems irrational that events on a single planet should affect the entire galaxy.

But yeah, I think Kreia has far too many nuances to simply reduce her to a villain. I think that, deep down, her old ‘self’, the Jedi Master she once was, shone through even more clearly in Kreia than Darth Traya did.

But I’d also love to read other people’s interpretations, as I think there’ll be more people here who know even more details about this very extensive Kotor 2 story

The ending of Kotor 2 isn't BAD, but it's really let down by the fact that Kotor 3 was never made.

Yes, it’s an unfortunate ending to the entire Kotor series, but we all know it wasn’t intended to be that way. However, it’s no different from, for example, The Empire Strikes Back, which simply leaves the door open for the final film in the trilogy. The only difference is that the ESB actually got a sequel - ROTJ, which wraps up the trilogy very well, while Kotor’s trilogy finale was canceled. Yes, we have SWTOR, but it’s still something different from a direct sequel.

The ending of Kotor 2 is one that effectively sets up the mystery to be resolved in Kotor 3, establishes the story’s goal, and outlines the Exile’s next destination. Today, we tend to interpret it as the Exile setting out into the unknown, and that has its own charm, because we already know that Kotor 3 won’t be made (or maybe it will, who knows? but we certainly won’t get the original Kotor 3 as it was meant to be 20 years ago), but in reality, the point of this ending was for the Exile to set out to find the True Sith Empire.

But finally, I’ll get to the point, the one criticism I find understandable. The way our companions stories are wrapped up. I don’t think that makes the ending bad or terrible, but it’s definitely a big problem. The way our companions stories are wrapped up is so bad that we had to learn about Baldur’s death from interviews, because the game portrays it so poorly.

Although, when it comes to companions, the TSLRCM expansion featuring Atton is definitely worth appreciating, I think that if there’s ever a remake of KOTOR 2, it would be nice to see Atton vs Sion. I'm not a fan of TSLRCM as a whole, but Atton vs Sion is my favorite expansion

I'd also like to add that I'm talking about the ending of the light side. As far as I remember, the dark side's ending is completely unfinished, and it's actually hard to even say anything about it. I finished this game on the DS a very long time ago, but I think that's exactly how it was.

A God of War analogy, but without spoilers. Imagine that the cliffhanger at the end of God of War 2 never gets a sequel in God of War 3. The planned sequel is simply canceled, and the series ends with God of War 2. Of course, this might leave a bad taste in your mouth, but it doesn’t change the fact that it would be an incredible ending that sets up a very interesting opening for a sequel.

I think that Kotor 2, as the middle installment of the trilogy, really sets the stage well for Kotor 3 and charts the course for its sequel, we have an intriguing mystery just waiting to be solved. Unfortunately, it’s a mystery that was never resolved, and that’s the biggest problem. I think even the beginning of Kotor 3 would fit perfectly with that final cutscene from Kotor 2, where we set out to find the Sith Empire. A direct sequel with no time skip.

Of course, we could treat SWTOR as the conclusion to what Kotor 2 started, but please. Let’s not do that. This is not the continuation of the Exile's story that Kotor 3*was supposed to be.

Have the Croatians mastered the art of telekinesis?

Or have new offside rules been introduced that I wasn't aware of? Is it now offside when the ball is played by a player from the opposing team?

No, really. Could someone please explain this decision to me? Maybe someone knows more about this and can explain why it was offside.

Can we just appreciate how much Kotor 2 expanded the gameplay compared to Kotor 1?

I just finished the Blaster only run in KotOR 2, after completing the Blaster only run in KotOR 1 a week ago, and I’m so pleasantly surprised by how many valuable, game-changing decisions were made in KotOR 2 to further increase replayability and make character builds a meaningful, less linear gameplay option. I didn’t feel like I was struggling against the game; rather, the developers actually anticipated that players might want to play in different, unique ways.

The weapon stats seem to be better thought out, but the biggest advantage is definitely the workbench. Also, the number of new perks tailored to different types of gameplay. Of course, this made the Blaster only run very enjoyable, I’m not even sure if, in many ways, it wasn’t easier than the classic Lightsaber run. But it seems to me that these new features, like the new perks, the workbench, and so on, also open up the possibility of many other builds, such as Fist only, Plasma Torch only, and many others. All of this seems genuinely feasible as a result, and I really appreciate games that focus so heavily on replayability. It always gives you an extra reason to come back to such outstanding games.

But aside from builds, even small things like removing the “Your team is too far away, you can't go through that door” message, these are the kinds of QOL improvements I really appreciate in this game. In KotOR 1, it’s sometimes better to play solo because team play makes for example the Star Forge pretty annoying, imo, since you can’t freely walk through doors, whereas in KotOR 2, you never really feel like your party is holding you back.

Just a quick post to show my appreciation for KOTOR 2 after returning to it a few years later. I think that if you play KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2 back to back, you can really appreciate how many nice new features were added that enhance the depth of gameplay and improve the quality of life. I know the story seems incomplete, but I think the gameplay more than makes up for it. The thing that bothers me the most are the companion sections, I just prefer playing as my own character, and I think a few of them were unnecessary, like the one on Dxun, but overall, I think Kotor 2 really makes this gameplay formula more interesting.

(and I think most of us would agree that if Telos were half as long, the game would be even better lol)

I just love Kotor 2, and every time I play it, I wish I could move on to Kotor 3....

And what do you guys appreciate most about Kotor 2 that wasn't in Kotor 1? These can be small things, but also major changes. Anything you liked!

Am I the only one who definitely prefers the Original Kotor 2 over TSLRCM?

The original Kotor 2 obviously has some content missing, especially in the final phase of the game, where Malachor should be much more developed, but TSLCRM kind of goes too far in the other direction. It adds some good things, but it also adds a lot of things that, well... was probably removed for a reason.

For example, Nar Shaddaa, which is overloaded with all these hack and slash sections, which I don’t think make the planet any better. In fact, imagine my surprise when it turned out that most of the things that made me dislike this planet actually came from that mod. (It also made me realize why I liked this planet as a kid, but when I returned to the game as an adult, it was a nightmare. The mod that restored the content simply made it unbearable for me)

The original seems to be much more condensed, with less filler. Of course, in some places, like Malachor, it could use more content, but I think TSLCRM does a poor job of distinguishing between content that was cut but is beneficial to the game and enhances it, and content that was cut for other reasons.

It’s a shame there isn’t a mod that would be a little more discerning about what should be in the game and what would actually harm it. Because, unfortunately, in my opinion, TSLCRM isn’t really worth replaying, it’s interesting to play through once, but Kotor 2 OG is simply a more enjoyable game with, in my view, greater replay value, precisely because it’s so free of any noticeable filler, boring content.

Although Kotor 2 OG certainly has its own issues, the most well-known one is definitely the game-breaking Nar Shaddaa. That’s why I think it would be great if someone made a mod that removed some of that bad cut content, because, of course, TSLCRM isn’t just about cut content, it also includes many bug fixes that improve the game.

I completed Blaster Only for the first time (Kotor 1)

It was a really interesting way to play this game. What was interesting was that Taris actually seemed easier with blasters than in my standard playthrough

There were also times when I had to run away a lot. For example, I couldn't beat the droids on Dantooine near the Star Map. I had a similar problem on Manaan, in the room at the Sith base where there's a Republic droid and a room full of Sith soldiers. So the simple strategy in those situations was to grab what I needed and run away.

The hardest part of this playthrough was definitely Leviathan. Well, maybe not Leviathan itself, but the boss fight against Saul Karath. That was actually the moment that really got me down for a long time, and the only moment in the entire playthrough when I gave in and used an offensive force (one other than healing or speed). Lightning Force.

This made the fight go from unreasonably difficult to just difficult. That’s how I finally managed to take down the two Dark Jedi, who were actually more of a boss than Saul Karath himself. After that, the difficulty level went back to normal, Kashyyyk was my last planet, and it wasn’t that hard. And that was the first time I found out that you don’t really have to rescue Zaalbar, you can just go back to the Ebon Hawk and fly on. I felt a little bad about it, but I was already pretty tired, so I left him behind this time lol

After Kashyyyk, I headed to Yavin, where I once again faced a very difficult battle, but fighting long-range opponents is definitely easier, so even though it was a long fight, I won it. I used up a lot of healing items and finally bought a weapon that completely changed my gameplay. Baragwin Heavy Repeating Blaster.

That weapon really made the gameplay a breeze, both Rakata Prime and the Star Forge were very easy, there were no more irrational spikes in difficulty. In fact, I did better than usual because I decided to play through the Star Forge solo as a test, and paradoxically, it was easier than usual because that allowed me to efficiently dodge the endless waves of enemies. This is something I need to remember for future playthroughs, because it makes Star Forge a breeze and not frustrating.

But getting back to the Baragwin Heavy Repeating Blaster, it made me realize even more just how unbalanced this game is when it comes to blasters. I don’t understand why we couldn’t get weapons of at least similar quality earlier on. This is so different from melee weapons, which systematically get better and better as the game progresses. Blasters, on the other hand, lag far behind until the very last hour of the game, when you suddenly get a massive upgrade that makes you practically indestructible.

But yeah, I managed to do it. I’ll have to try this in Kotor 2 someday, because from what I’ve heard, the blasters are much more polished there. Anyway, it was a really interesting challenge, and I recommend everyone at least give it a try, even though it can be frustrating at times, it was really fun in the end. It was so different from a standard playthrough that I found it really engaging.

Details: All characters must use blasters, hard mode, exercising restraint whith using offensive forces, with two exceptions (Two Dark Jedi in Saul Karath Boss Fight and destroying the incubators in the battle against Darth Malak)

I don't understand why the speed on my phone is so slow.

By comparison, on my brother's phone, the speed is pushed to the limits of our subscription plan (a 100 Mb/s plan, and our speed reaches about 110Mb/s). On my phone, the maximum speed is about 45 Mb/s, which of course doesn't make the internet unusable, but it is a problem that only I'm experiencing. On top of that, it randomly disconnects from time to time.

What could this be? It's definitely something to do with my phone, but has anyone else had a similar problem and managed to fix it?

M21 I'm looking for friends, mainly from Poland

I've been feeling a little bored lately, and I thought it would be fun to meet some new people. Mostly from Poland or neighboring countries

I mostly like single-player games because my internet is crap (but I’ll play Valorant sometimes), and I like books and TV shows, mostly animated ones (and a little anime too). I'm also a huge music fan, rap aside, so if anyone wants to swap tracks of any kind, I'd love to lol. I’m either really stiff in conversation or HYPERACTIVE, depending on how the conversation goes with the person I’m talking to xd

If you want to chat, just send me a message (or comment post), ofc include your gender and age so I have some idea of who I’m talking to. It would be nice to meet some new people

To everyone who has played Brave Exvius. How good were the story and characters in this game?

I'm just trying to keep my hype in check lol. What worries me the most is how well this new game will be written, since it was originally a gacha game

So, what can we expect from the story? But please, no major spoilers. And was it any good?

I just can't seem to understand this community after the announcement of the new game

I don't know, to me the gameplay looks really interesting. It feels more dynamic, it's cool that we're getting the jump and double jump back, and the combat has clearly been ramped up. The story concept also seems interesting, as does the new world. Having so many different mythologies in one place sounds great, and I'm sure people would normally be happy with it, but....

All of a sudden, people don't like this game because we're not playing as Kratos and on top of that, we're playing as a WOMAN!?!?!?!?!

I don't get it. I understand that modern games can sometimes be weird and prioritize things that aren't essential to the game, but in this case, we've got literally 20 minutes of gameplay that leaves little doubt the game will be really good. It looks like this will be the game with the most gods in a single title since God of War 3, so there’s literally nothing left to do but look forward to it lol

We’re getting a combat-focused game, likely featuring plenty of epic battles against gods and an intriguing story that seems set to resolve some of the unanswered questions from the previous two games. What’s there to complain about?

I just didn't expect such an avalanche of irrationally negative comments after the trailer came out lol

I finally discovered my love for A Thousand Suns

For a very long time, I considered it the worst album, the only tracks I liked were Burning in the Skies and Waiting for the End.

But I decided to give it another listen, and oh, I loved it so much. It’s so emotional. What I love about LP is that each of their albums resonates differently at different points in your life, each one has its own unique character.

I also think this is an album that really comes into its own when you listen to it from start to finish, it’s like a journey. I’m just wondering if maybe The Catalyst wouldn’t have been a better ending, but The Messenger is good too

What does the community here think of A Thousand Suns? What are your favorite tracks on the album?

What should I read after New Jedi Order?

The New Jedi Order was the absolute masterpiece for me, definitely my favorite Star Wars content, but all good things must come to an end. The EU is a vast part of the Star Wars universe, so I’m wondering what other books I should read. They can be single books, duologies, trilogies, or longer series. It doesn’t really matter, but I’d like to know what other good books are out there.

I read:

Thrawn Trilogy
Dark Empire Trilogy
Jedi Academy Trilogy (unfortunately)
The Hand of Thrawn
New Jedi Order Series
Revenge of The Sith
Darth Plagueis

My favorites are Traitor, Star by Star, Destiny way, Vector Prime and the ROTS novel.

It could also be comics, not just books

As a fan of Kotor, I also like the Old Republic era, so something in that vein would be cool too. But it could be any era, not just this one. Basically, anything that's good lol

PS: I love Vergere...

u/Uchizaki — 3 months ago

I just finished reading Star by Star, and it's become one of my favorite Star Wars titles...

I didn't expect something so emotional, something so heart-wrenching, something so brutal and uncompromising. Of course, the NJO era had already shown me that it would differ from the more “safe” New Republic era, but this was something else entirely. Still, the previous books managed to retain a hint of optimism, something that was missing from Star by Star, and I’m truly glad, because the Yuuzhan Vong deserved such a uncompromising portrayal.

Anakin Solo was my favorite new character, the previous books really gave me the impression that he was being set up as the main protagonist of this saga. I loved his adventure on Yavin, and I think I liked his more open-minded approach to the Force better than Jacen’s skepticism. Overall, his personality resonated with me the most out of all the siblings. He was worthy of bearing the name Anakin, even though... his heroism and strong sense of justice ultimately led to his death.

And that death really made a huge impression on me, not just because of my personal fondness for the character, but also because of everyone else’s reactions to his death. The thought that Han and Leia had lost someone so close to them again. The NJO era really doesn’t go easy on them. I have to admit that those reactions, that death, actually made me cry, something that had never happened to me before while reading books.

And then there’s Jaina, whom I always saw as the most level-headed of the siblings, who suddenly starts embracing the dark side of the Force. All of this really drove home just how significant this death is, and I’m looking forward to seeing the fallout and how the characters develop. Anakin may be dead, but I hope his influence on the story will live on.

Another character who turned out to be the unexpected MVP of this book for me was... Borsk Fey'lya. This man is such an incredible character to me. He’s written so incredibly well, this is exactly how politicians should be portrayed. I don’t know how many times I cursed him from his first appearances in the Thrawn trilogy, only to find myself rooting for him with all my might in his final moments. He is neither caricatured as evil nor caricatured as good; he is simply a politician who, despite making many questionable decisions, finally died like a true leader. It’s impossible not to appreciate that.

I started wondering if maybe they shouldn't have killed off someone important in the ranks, then his death might have had an even greater impact, but I think that the way it was ultimately handled strikes the right balance between acknowledging his deeds and not overly glorifying a character who was mostly a trash most of the time.

But yes, the way we lose so much in this story, we literally lose the capital of the New Republic, I really liked the invasion of Coruscant overall. I think I liked it more than the part about searching for the Voxyn Queen, which really shone mainly during Anakin’s death and in a few moments afterward.

I must also pay tribute to Ulah Kore, who truly suffered greatly during this mission, right up until her death. And to C-3PO, who also played an important role in this story.

And I'm really curious about Vergere, what's her motive. Overall the story has gotten really interesting, and I'm genuinely curious to see where it's all heading. The way everything has fallen apart in this book gives me a feeling somewhat similar to Revenge of the Sith, which, by the way, is my favorite Star Wars title.

From what I understand, Traitor is another standout in the series, at least that’s what I’ve heard. In general, I’ve heard many times that it’s the best book in the NJO series, and often even that it’s the best Star Wars book overall. So I’m curious to see how it will surprise me. But before that, there’s still Dark Journey and the next two books.

Simply put, what an amazing adventure
