I just got some new AirPods Max. They are genuine for sure--new from Amazon, and registered with Apple. They play fine except for one thing. When I play them using USB-C audio from my Mac studio, the sound is not nearly as crisp as it is using Bluetooth. I tried a couple different cables and it was the same result. Any explanations for this? It's tough to tell with the phone, but I think it's the same either way.

You would think that you would get better sound using USB-C, but I definitely do not in this case. Thanks for any advice.

APM2 now at 449 on Amazon. Should I buy now or do you guys think that will go down in price? Thanks!!

Any advice as to online sellers? Also, advice as to what weight? Looking for nothing fancy. Just a plain ol' domed comfort fit.
