S4 E8 is so peak

>!Particularly around Groff’s character. It’s so cool how everything that’s happened comes together nicely to demonstrate how he stayed 2 steps ahead of everyone.!<

>!You get to see it in action too. It’s insanely impressive and also terrifying how fast he comes up with these schemes.!<

Why s2 fails to “capture the same vibe” from s1.

I’ll preface by saying I don’t actually think it’s really a bad thing that it’s different— I think that shows are best when the seasons are different enough that they have uniqueness and don’t blend together, but similar enough that it still feels like the same thing you fell in love with if that makes sense. The best example of this is Stranger Things, but also Wednesday has done it perfectly imo. Anyway…

The first thing is the lighting/colour grading. Season 2 is ‘warmer’ so to speak. It could’ve been done on purpose considering this season is slightly earlier in the year. This one doesn’t even register consciously most of the time, but some side by sides highlight it, particularly the school uniform. In season 1, 90% of the time the purple uniform is made to look very blueish or indigo, it still registers as purple when you’re watching it but in screenshots it’s hard to decide which one it is, looks bluer most of the time. But in season 2 it’s clearly the deeper violet that it was designed to be. This part’s actually a small improvement imo.

The second is the set. This one actually irked me a little. They didn’t even try to recreate Nevermore properly. The quad, the fencing room and the main hall of the school are unrecognisable, we don’t see Lake Jericho, the Libraries or the greenhouses again, and we’re thrown into caliban hall, the clocktower, Thornhill’s house and the music room. I’m probably still missing others aswell. That’s before you even consider the places we see around Jericho that don’t return and the ones that are newly introduced. It’s good to introduce new settings but the familiarity factor is completely stripped away which was unfulfilling to say the least.

Expanding a bit on point 2, not exactly the places, but the things that happen at the places. The Harvest Festival, The Poe Cup, Outreach Day, The Rave’n, Parents Weekend, Prank day, Camp Outcast, the day of the dead festival and The masquerade ball. All presented as reoccurring events and yet they all only happen once? Again, novelty is needed but this is overkill.

The third thing is the characters. This works the same way as the places does and it’s an issue that happens so often in tv shows where you’re left with less and less of the orignal cast and more and more of the new. It becomes the show of Theseus. Xavier and Donovan who played massive roles in s1 are written off ASAP. Similarly, Weems, one of the MAIN characters, is gone for most of it. There’s also the deaths of Mayor Walker and Kinbott, which are understandable but still it takes away. They also arbitrarily cut off some of the backing characters like Coach Vlad, Lucas, Divina and Yoko only to replace them with equally hollow characters? They also did WAY too much as far as introducing new characters, without trying to sound like a broken record, novelty? yes, but in moderation. They could’ve just gave plotlines some characters bigger roles this season instead of putting new ones in their place.

The fourth and final thing is the obvious one. The gap between seasons, both Time and Place. Characters aging is normal, but it was just a tad too much. Both the appearance and the voices of the actors changing this much subconsciously takes you out of it and makes you think to an extent “how is this the same show lol”. The fact that it was filmed in Ireland rather than Romania aswell makes the outdoor scenes have a noticeable contrast with s1.

But like I say, there’s pros and cons to all of this. I liked and support it and hope they do the same for the jump from s2 to 3, but a part of me was pretty gutted at the lack of familiarity.

Pennywise/IT (Stephen King) vs Black Flash (DC comics)

I thought of this comparison today because I wasn’t sure ifthe DC speedforce was multiversal or if each universe had a unique speeforce.

but yeah it’s multiversal the same as Pennywise is. I’m also not sure if they would be considered omniversal within their respective fictional multiverses.

As we know IT’s true form is not physical, but it does take physical forms whereas black flash is the physical vessel of an essential component of a non physical multiversal force.

So who is more powerful? Pennywise comes to the same universe as Black Flash and decides to hunt him. Would Black Flash escape? Would he be able to damage or kill Pennywise? Or would the speed force itself prevent any damage to Black Flash. No stepping in from the speedforce itself.

Help finding an edit on tiktok

I had it saved on my old acc. Could someone just tell me the account name or @ if they know what I’m talking about?

It was a wyler edit with the opening clip of weems’ ghost talking to Wednesday about her feelings for Tyler. The song was “Try” by Pink. It was posted in mid 2025

Jenna’s height?

She’s on IMDB at 5’1” but in both of these she’s around 4’11.75”-5’0”. That’s while having shoes on, so maybe even 4’10” Has anyone met Jenna irl? How tall did you think she was?

How am I just finding out that Jamie McShane (Sheriff Galpin) was in breaking bad😭

It’s so random. He plays the train conductor when Walt, Jesse, Mike and Todd do the train heist in s5.

When I die, since the universe is infinitely big and goes on for an infinite amount of time, and particles bouncing around could theoretically form the same arrangement as my brain, will I eventually come back to life?

To clarify what I essentially mean by this is that if a boltzmann brain of me is formed, when I die will I just immediately wake up the next instant as if I had just teleported there at the moment of death?
