6 months equity research internship

Planning on getting a front office trader role.

Also my study abroad counselor had suggested UK, Ireland and France.

I did some of my own research and found that in the UK, it is next to impossible to get a work visa.

I also did some digging around and found out Amsterdam, Germany, Denmark, Dubai are a few viable options, after doing my degree in the UK ,since UK universities are in the top 100.

Probably wont go to UK if i don't get into a good enough college.

I am looking to get a simple quant internship, mainly as a quant trader or researcher, finding new alphas and implementing them. But so far i haven't had much luck.

does anyone know any quant firms hiring?

context: i am based in mumbai, CFA L1 and 6 months of equity research internship.

I have recently graduated, and now am looking for a job in finance. In trading/equity research domains, but can't find any due to less number of job openings and them asking for work ex. I am CFA level 1 and have 6 months of internship experience in buy side equity research.

I have a choice. Doing MBA now (no work ex) in a tier 2 college (99.3 in MHT MBA CET) or doing a simple job in a finance firm and then going abroad for Msc finance/financial engineering. (UK/France mainly)

Eventually wanted to work in Sales and Trading role. (front end sell side trader)

I am leaning towards the second one. (cost is an issue though)

Although convincing my father is a tough job. He doesn't want me going outside Mumbai for my higher studies.

Any realistic suggestions to convince my father?

Although its a show, I always wondered a few things about Claire.

Claire and Phil have a great marriage. They have three kids, a great house, Phil has a great job, Claire works in her dad's closet company.

A few questions in my mind.

1. Once Phil talks about Claire and her ex boyfriends. Something about them being so many that every time he leaves the house he runs into one of them. I am sure its exagerrated for comedic purposes, but if your wife had so many exes, how would you stay sane? won't you be worried that she might have an affair? or divorce you?

2. Is it really possible to date/marry someone with a long history of ex boyfriends, while you've had 2-3 girlfriends at max?

How does the it work?

Aren't you worried that this person might not be attached to you as deeply as you are to them? or worried that the other person is used to multiple partners, what if they have issues? or are a cheater? what if they cheat on me?

3. I like the fact that she changes so much after her marriage. She becomes a mom, then starts working , while juggling three kids (especially keeping Luke alive). Do transformations like this happen in real life?

I am planning on getting into Trading/supporting office roles. Trading as in trading bonds or equity in at a bank.

Eventually I want to be working in front office sales and trading in a big bank in Singapore/Sydney.

Any other jobs, where I can switch to international posting?

What are some local colleges where companies come for this type of placement? Any idea?
