Lots of these little striped whiptail lizards all over this year. Very pretty lines and bright blue long tails, this guy already spent his get out of jail free card and lost half his tail. They have forked snake like forked tongues and Jacobson’s organs. If I remember correctly they are all female and give birth to exact Asexual clones of themselves. They mate but don’t exchange DNA but it does prompt ovulation and egg production. Oh parthenogenesis that’s what it’s called.

Why?

This year I learned indoor grown plants can burn in 30 minutes while repotting outside. Been a month or two since tho and doing fine. TPMxTBM and MDCC

Hi traveled to Phoenix for a going away party for a friend. Really just wanna go see some Pedro’s. Is there a nursery that sells somewhere? Prolly not enough room in buddy’s car to haul one back. But just want to look. Are there any in ground planted stands I’d really love to see that.
Picked up a chunk of totem pole cactus outside of hotel that’s been broken off for a long time. Looks like it’s been trying to root for a long time. Here’s that piece and some cuttings rooting back home. Just as I was leaving noticed they were pupping like crazy. And a cholla blossom.

Just transferred a couple sprouted guys and direct sowed a couple seeds. No idea if it’s gonna work.

Has anyone had experience starting cactus seedlings with hydroponics set up. Total noob to all things indoor. I started a ton in take away tech and transferred some here to try it. Brand new to all things indoor had this tent for like 2 years never opened the box and my buddy was given this for his classroom next year he’s running a test run of veggies on top so he can perfect it. And I’m gonna run. Trichos, lophs, astros, arios.

Potted some potatoes directly into pure 100% humate soil amendment. Will it burn plants? Will there be nutrient deficiencies or other adverse effects? Only suspicions I have are that it lacks available nitrogen and could lock up phosphorus. But 🤷‍♂️ if it thrives might haul the stuff in and put it down like landscaping gravel lol
