Last train time for NY to NJ?

Me again!

Going to NYC to watch a concert on the 8th (Madison square garden). Concert starts at 7pm and not sure when it'll end. Maybe a bit after 10?

Anyway, its my first solo train trip so I know going to NYC I'll drive to the Hamilton Station and board to NYC (Penn Station I think?)

Any idea on the last train times going back to Hamilton Station and what train do I take (Newark?) I remember going with my sis that it showed up on the screen and everyone was rushing to the gate so I didn't have time to process or remember how to read it. And I highly doubt I'll be able to ask for help with the surging crowd. There are lots of apps for the trains/subways that Im still learning so I'd like to know which is best.

It's also a Wednesday that day, and I'm trying to save costs as a roundtrip is already $40. Would it be alright to catch the train mid day (so I could at least go into work in the morning) or should I go early in the morning? We've always gone early in the morning so not sure if the crowds are different.

Ideally looking for a cafe/coffee shop as well nearby where I can just chill till the concert or anything free lol. As much as I wanna hop around and explore, I'm on a very tight budget. At most I'd like to just get photos taken at a photobooth and coffee. Ty!!

Need help purchasing tour merch 🥺

I hope I don't get scammed, but I bravely moved out to the US from my country for a better life and its my first time actually having independence, a job, learning about taxes etc. (In asian culture, youre sheltered and its very strict) for the first time as a 26yo, and being behind everyone in life is such a struggle.

Currently living paycheck to paycheck and was able to acquire a ticket for the July 8th due to Klarna however Ive been wanting one of these merch shirts, I won't be able to purchase one at MSG that day due to I wouldn't have enough for gas to last me another week for work (I'm from NJ! And I think the shirts are $50 each).

If anyone is willing to purchase an extra one and I'll pay the shipping too (or meetup, depends on location as im a new driver hehe) on my next payday (the 17th!).

Or if you have an extra one already, I'll buy it on my next payday!! (I'm a M/L/XL).

You can hold it until I pay it, so you don't have to worry if you'll be scammed by me. I can even meet you on the 8th at MSG and put a downpayment of $10!! (I know its little, but times are really tough. Plus it costs $40 alone roundtrip train for me to attend the concert and go home 🫠)

Themed/organized junk journal?

I KNOW it defeats the usual purpose of junk journaling to be creative and all, but for the life of me im such an indecisive person.

I really am torn (and has caused me to have a bunch of hoarded stuff that has yet to be journalled) on whether its better to have themed junk journals like, for broadway shows i go to, or diff cafes i try, my day to day life, etc. or just have everything in a daily journal.

I want them to be in separate journals but at the same time I'm wondering how I can still keep a daily junk journal thats also my diary, while wanting to have scrapbook photoalbums. My main issue with it is how can I have enough stuff from one event (lets say my first broadway show which was HP and the cursed child in NY and got my playbill signed by the casts, including THE Tom Felton 🥲) to have the same with my broadway themed journal, daily journal, etc. If I separate the items to use for each, i feel like it wont be enough. And it feel a bit iffy about taking more than one item (lets say a cafe calling card, but taking like 5 copies instead of one, bc im also adding some trinkets or bits in envelopes/letters to send to my nieces/nephews in other states, like a free coloring page from the Crayola experience I went to in PA)

And Some events like my month trip in Washington state, ive accumulated lots of things that maybe I could just use the notebook I purchased there (the cover art and nb itself was by the native tribes) and have a singular journal for that trip and some left overs for my other journals like travel and daily.

And if I start, i feel like ill regret it and wont be able to remove the bits since theyve been cut or glued on. Someone please tell me im not alone 😅😭

Sooooo, she CAN be quiet???

Seems like she actually can log off and be there for her kids, or someone's managing her acc for her. Idkw but for some reason, it doesnt feel like she posted/wrote the caption of this post. Maybe im so used to her snarkiness and terrible grammar but it's so odd!

Regardless, I hope she just continues to stay logged off and not post about the kids or her situation until shes completely healed.

Meal prepping food ideas w/o extra ingredients?

Financials are ROUGH right now, and the food pantry near me usually only gives canned beans, corn and peas and bread. I know I'm terrible for being picky but I grew up on rice meals and have tried slowly cutting them out but its affected my energy esp with a physically demanding medical job where im constantly on my feet.

Any recommendations on a few one item (other than rotisserie, meaning i dont have to buy other ingredients and such) that I can stretch for 1 week of meal prep to pair with rice?? Can be frozen or canned (gonna see if they have Palm Corned Beef in bulk as thats my 2nd choice).

Sister is turning 31, want to keep it cool but simple, since friends wont be coming to the house so its just us, the kids and her partner.

Any references and colors will be a big help!

Curvy/big + short girlies, where are we getting our swimsuits??

Its my first beach trip in USA (i lived in a diff tropical country but was much slimmer back then). I am very self conscious on my body. I have a curvy hourglass body but overweight as a 4'11 /5ft, everything at Walmart and target seems so itty bitty, and I feel like I should have a full body swim suit. I have a one piece sleeveless that hugs my torso so it gives me some shapelift, but it makes me insecure about cellulite on my knees, calves and thighs, plus my big arms.

I did come from a country where we usually cover up bc of the sun, not just of insecurity. I have yet to find a really nice yet affordable body swimsuit that i dont have to keep adjusting, safe from sun but cute af! I struggle with sizes as my bottoms are usually an XL (due to my huge ass 😭) but my upper body can range from small-large depending on brand i guess. Im not familiar with online shops or stores here in the US, and hoping to get something that will be available before the 7th.

Any reviews on Planet Fitness in Burlington?

Looking to workout on my own terms (sis is a personal fit mama coach so i have my own trainer if needed lol) and was wondering if anyone has tried this branch. I would typically work out maybe around after 5pm, just basic treadmill to start. On weekends, maybe in early mornings?

Any specific times on the crowdiness and cleanliness, if people mind their own business? And if theres anything I need to be aware of in regards to pricing/membership. Thanks!

Costco hearing aids - is it worth it?

I am fairly new to the US after moving abroad since I was 8. Growing up I did have speech impediments and still do, and inborn hearing issues that gradually seemed to get worse as I get older (not hearing well like music or ice cream truck coming around, hearing someone talking but not being able to comprehend what theyre saying right away or hear it). I relied on hearing aids until we moved to a country where speech therapy and hearing aids isnt that accessible.

As an adult I want to take my health seriously now, and have only been using hearing aids that resemble airpods. They arent a great fit for me bc i hear every little clink and its distracting. I cant remember what having real appropriate hearing aids was like and if it cancels out those noises. I live in NJ and have health insurance (njfamilycare/united healthcare/medicaid) and its my first time navigating health insurance.

I heard costco is known for good hearing aids, was wondering if they have discounts (if you have a membership) or can be covered by insurance? Is there a warranty, what are the pricing ranges and is it worth getting it there?

Girlies, where are you getting your haircuts?

Looking to get a layered cut, not sure what pricing is like in the US. In or around Burlington county (sis has one in philly but too far for me).

First time trying to figure out the field of rentals, apartments, housing, etc. I have 0 knowledge lol, but am looking for a place on a $2000 monthly salary (yes, i know its not enough) just for me. I heard that there are new apartments being built by this area and is supposedly cheaper.

Currently I am living with my sibling as I've onky been in america for a year now, and paying $750 rent, plus half of groceries, everything else I try to pay it off by babysitting my nephews and nieces, treating dinner sometimes and being in charge of cleaning some areas of the house + dishes. I do plan to stay a bit longer before getting my own place since with the $750 rent, half of groceries, gas, personal groceries, insurances, phone and car payments, I'm left with a negative balance or around $50 to budget before next payday (biweekly).

Does anyone have information on the apartments by Boscov and where/to whom can I inquire? Ty!!
