Graduation day 👨🎓 Wk9R3
Went way too hard to begin with, pace is horribly inconsistent 😂 but we graduated with a PR and on an unfamiliar off-road track.

52 (M) started on the 6th of April and struggled to run 60 seconds. Still slow as heck but would never think I’d be running 5k without stopping by now. Trust the process it works!
So today didn’t start well. I lost my headphones which peed me off so didn’t really feel like running, but i went and bought some new ones and did it anyway.
I’d completed Wk5 D3 (20 min run) and went further so I decided to jump to Wk9 and a route with some elevation. Pretty happy with how it went but it was hard for me on the hills.
So! I did my 5 minute warm up walk, and started to run, and at the end of the 20 minutes I felt pretty good so I decided to keep going, and I actually managed to do 5kms without stopping! Never would have thought it possible a month ago!
Did my 5 minute warm up walk, then as Forrest Gump said, I just kept running 😂 that last km was hard! Bring on the 20 minute Wk5D3 ! 🥹
Completed my C25K Wk5D1 run, and kept going for a bit. I seem to feel much more comfortable during the second half of the run.
skin pork sausages and saute in olive oil until it has some good colour. Remove from pan, add chopped onion celery then add garlic and chili flakes and some peppers charred on the gas flame. Add a dollop of tomato paste, cook off then deglaze with red wine and reduce. Add can of chopped tomatoes. Pasta goes in with some cooking water, toss about and then stir in chopped basil.

Went a bit further and clocked up 5k after completing my first run of week 4.
