Are all of the AC games a 'necessity' to play?

Best title I coukd think of that wasn't 'what game should I play'. To preface, I know you dont need the previous ones to play AC:6. I know there are different gens, and I know that there are 3 (4?) Different timeliness. I have AC:4A on the PS3 as I was under the impression it was the equivalent of a modern day 'deluxe edition' i.e base game + DLC type of thing. However that mya not be the case and it IS actually a sequel?

I wanted to start from the beginning as I love bi LG robot and I thought ' this will be fine, I assume the named ones (for example, Master of Arena) is just the 'better' version of the number (for example Armored Core 1)'. However...is this not the case?

If someone could please explain that to me thatd be great thanks you 😭😂

Singleplayer for me, muliplayer is not needed for me

Noob: is there a 'How-To-Drive' guide?

Okay so let me explain. I have a Logitech G920, wheel, pedals and the shifter. It was mostly used for F1 and Forza on an Xbox One by my partner. However what I originally got it for was AC. Anyway. Finally get it hooked up the other day, start up the career mode after seting up CM and...im complete ass??

I can drive in real life, ad id say I can drive quite well, but alot of my 'ability' comes from how the car feels, which I dont have when doing a sim. Im trying to do the Fiat time attack, and whether I am on pro or gamer, I either go too fast, too slow, spin out. I thiught i understood when to brake and go and steer and shift (with paddles cos the shifter isnt aorking?) (dont brake and steer or sweve a corner kinda thing) but apparently not? I started at Pro cos I didnt know i coukd change it, then enabled the Line...but even that threw me off because unlike Forza where it dynamically changes it basically just shows 'yeah dont go to fast here mate' lmao

So honestly, any advice would be great. I have a lineup of about 3 days off coming up where I want to practice and get relatively okay

AC:4A - Tracking Missiles Confusion

Okay so I've recently started playing and chose GA which gave me some tracking missiles. I notice with them equipped, it selects various things with a white square. However when I shoot, it then just fires them all at one target, and if that target gets destroyed the rest just fly away?

What am I doing wrong? Currently doing the Arms Fort near the start (drones come out) and thiught 'that'll be easy' but 95% of my missiles domt hit. I keep failing because I run out of ammo with like 20 left (and the GA do nothing)

Noob question about damage

So i use a longsword that ive upgraded once. It took me almost 10 minutes to hunt that weird dodo thing for the camp expedition. Each hit did like 10-13 damage? Is this normal or am I an idiot

Vanilla + Modlist?

I recently reinstalled by B&S:N and remember I had a whole bunch of mods. Annoyingly, I downloaded them through time, scrolling the 'newly added' tab every few days to stay on top of things.

I no longer have any mods and filtering by popular still gives me old, outdated mods (like lightsaber core). Im wanting to do Crystal hunt, modded, as ive done it once vanilla already. Any QOL, AI, Graphical, gameplay improvements welcome and cool mods in general would be great

What to model Vs texture?

This is a model ive created, trying to go for the PSX look. Ive not started texturing yet, but wondering if maybe ive done too much modelling, that the te turing could've carried instead?

Its a sort of space viking.

How do you guys decide what gets modelled, and what gets done via a texture? For example: a belt. If it were purely for aesthetic i could use a texture. However if through the game i wanted things to attach to the belt, would I model it perhaps?

Also, shoukd I be smooth shading, or keeping it flat?

Games with great Force Field/Energy Shield

Likely VERY niche but. I love me a good force field. Supreme Commander (top-down RTS) has shield generators that crate a bubble, and projectiles hit it and are absorbed, and things like missiles bounce off creating a cool spectacle.

Freelancer (i think) and Homeworld have similar things, where when you shoot a ship, that part of the shield flashes at being struck.

This is essentially what im looking for. Force fields that have spectacle and FEEL good. What i wouldnt be looking for, for example is like the Sheikah shield from Zelds. Sure its energy, but its just a normal shield.

First try designing creature skeletons!

Just a bit of background, im trying to get into drawing, and got a book for fantasy, scifi, and creatures and characters. The C&C one contains 'lessons' through the book. The first is to create a skeleton to understand form, which is what ive done here 😁 (or tried to)
