It took a while but I it got applied across seven devices perfectly! Nothing dropped or conflicted.

Just be deliberate and don't try any multitasking until all of your devices redeployed and synced.

Ok let's be honest. First a little context, I am a corporate windows refugee that has spent the last few years getting into Linux. During that time I have come to settle on some workstream combinations that are seemingly not popular by most purists i see on these threads. Granted I am retired so my workstream can be whatever I want it to be.

A few examples: Vivaldi over Firefox. Evolution over Thunderbird. OnlyOffice over LibreOffice...and GASP!!! Google for collaboration.

I get all the angst over Microsoft, and the concern over data with Google. But really, Google can go ahead and gnaw on my garbage email data and shared documents all they want. I really don't care if they know where I am or what I am doing. I have a phone so...there's that. I keep all of my personal stuff either on my own server or on an encrypted cloud server completely outside of their reach.

I am not casual about data security and i keep regular backups (and backups of my backups). I just don't feel like stressing over my digital footprint is worth spending needless cycles on. I won't use solutions that seem cobbled together by comparison just because. Bottom line is that like it or not Google has their shit together. I use what works the best for my workstream regardless.

I have a storage cupboard in my garage. In this cupboard there is a shelf dedicated to empty boxes, bins and containers. There is another shelf of bins that separately contain empty cloth bags, cases and pouches. The last shelf contains assorted empty baskets, trays and foam. All of these bins and boxes full of storage items are labeled, because of course they are.

So there it is. I am organizing and storing my storage. Because one never knows.

I spent two hours trying to figure out why I was unable to print to my wireless HP from my Garuda system. Reinstalling CUPS, reinstalling the printer, digging around in AI…nothing was working. I was at the point of giving up and posting a nasty gram.
I suddenly realized that I was on the wrong network. Works great. Shit.

Sean McDonough is driving me crazy with his droning on and on with stats and trivia. I don't think he knows the players by number so he covers up with inane trivia. I am feel like I am actually missing the game! He's like the Troy Aikman of hockey. You know it's bad when that dipshit Ray Ferraro feels like a welcome break, even when he is wrong most of the time. I am ready to turn off the sound and listen to the audio on radio. Anyone else agree?

QNAP Support has been outstanding for me over the years. We all know how hard it can be to get fast quality support but these guys have got it down. For me, I avoid help desk interaction if at all possible, but this is the best experience you can ever ask for. Especially since my NAS is well out of warranty. Log a ticket, allow access, problems solved!
