EB-3 ROW, PD Oct 2023, filed April 2026, biometrics done May 2026.
This is my first time seeing “silent” updates (only the updated timestamp changing) on my I-485, but nothing separate for Supplement J.
Is it normal that Supplement J doesn’t show any independent status or API activity, and any movement just gets reflected under the main I-485 (or via RFE if needed)?
Also:
what kind of post-biometrics update pattern are people seeing? Mine’s been pretty irregular so far.
Hi,
Is there anyone from IOE9365 block or any other block waiting or that has gotten any movement on anything/silent updates ?

Filed I-485 in April 2026, EB-3 ROW, priority date April 2023 (current).
Sent a secure message through MyUSCIS asking for the current physical location of my file. Got two different written responses:
• Response 1: File is at the local field office
• Response 2: File is still at NBC
Same exact question, two different agents, two opposite answers :
both in writing.
I’m going to reply referencing both responses and ask them to reconcile, but wanted to know if anyone else has run into this. Is it possible the file is mid-transfer and caught at different stages depending on when the agent checked?
Hi,
Is there anyone from this block waiting or that has gotten any movement on anything?

I’m willing to *pay* to take over a rent-stabilized lease.
I’m looking for:
* Up to $3,500/month
* At least 1 bedroom
* Ideally in Downtown Brooklyn or Williamsburg, but I’m also open to Manhattan.
If you know anyone looking to transfer their lease, please feel free to reach out!

Help us decide between two apartments! 😅
Option 1 — Jersey City (Grove St Area)
• 2bed/1bath, \~800 sq ft
• $2,700/month, rent stabilized
• Need to add gym ($200/month)
Option 2 — Brooklyn (DUMBO/Brooklyn Heights/Downtown Brooklyn area)
• 1bed/1bath 400 sq ft
• $3,266/month, rent stabilized
• Gym included
Real monthly gap after gym + NYC city tax we’d save: $600+
We’re a couple, late 20s/early 30s, no kids, both working in the city.
Did you live in either area? Which would you pick and why? Especially curious if the extra space was worth it or if you regretted leaving Brooklyn 🙏

My partner and I are trying to decide between two apartments and would love opinions from people who have lived in either area.
Option 1:
Jersey City (near PATH)
2 bed / 1 bath
~800 sq ft
$2,700/month
Annual rent increases around 3.75%
We’d pay about $200/month total for a gym membership
Option 2:
1 bed / 1 bath luxury apartment in the area between Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, and DUMBO
$3,266/month
Rent stabilized with expected increases around 3%
We’re both working professionals in our late 20s/early 30s. No kids. We don’t work from home full-time, but that could change in the future.
The main tradeoff seems to be:
Jersey City = more space, extra bedroom, lower cost
Brooklyn = better location, walkability, amenities, and rent stabilization
After factoring in the gym cost, the Brooklyn apartment is about $366/month more expensive.
For those who have lived in either area:
Which would you choose and why?
Does the Brooklyn location justify the premium?
How valuable did you find having a second bedroom?
Any regrets moving to Jersey City or staying in Brooklyn?
Would especially love to hear from couples who made a similar decision.

I also got a couple silent updates the same day as biometrics.
I chatted with Emma today (5/28/2026) and the live agent said my case is still at NBC and that they “do not see an interview scheduled at this time.”
Does this usually mean the interview is waived, or is it just too early to tell since biometrics were only last week?
Curious if anyone had a similar timeline recently.

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for at least a 1 bed apartment in Brooklyn or Manhattan for under $3,500/month.
Flexible on move-in date over the next couple months
Got married this year and filed jointly with my husband. He doesn’t have a Social Security number, so H&R Block helped us apply for an ITIN with our tax return.
Our return was paper-filed and mailed on March 9th, and I have the tracking number showing it was delivered. NJ already issued my state refund, but when I check the IRS website it says my return is late and that $0 has been paid/received.
I’ve been trying to call the IRS for weeks but can’t get through to anyone.
Has anyone else dealt with this after filing jointly with an ITIN application? Is this normal processing delay behavior, or should I be worried something went wrong?
