Has anyone had a Pride and Prejudice eye contact situation with someone?

and how did it turn out?

Eye contact situation with smiling back and forth at work. No ring, he has a good reputation, and I’m insanely attracted to him.

I think about it enough that I am asking this group on Reddit. I’m confident enough that he is interested as well that I wrote my phone number down and put it in my pocket for the chance we would run into each other yesterday, did not run into each other.

We have talked, but it is hard to run in to each other again after morning meetings that’s NOT with a lot of other people present. I am shy, he seems shy as well.

My options are…
Find an excuse to message him through work.

Wait to run into him that does not have a lot of people around (rare).
Perhaps an option you can think of and help me with lol

ETA: I’m in early 30s and I think he may be mid to late 30’s.

experience because since finding out I had Bipolar 2 and BPD there is so much out there about medical/therapists giving up on people who have that. I see the medical side and stigma as well in my daily work life unfortunately.

Took a LONG time with biweekly then to monthly and now I’m finally at 2 month follow up for the first time in years. I have been seeing the same Psychiatric NP for about 8 years and I am thankful I didn’t give up and they did not either.

It was through trial and error with meds that I was diagnosed with bipolar type II and BPD I did not have the words to describe how I was feeling on the inside but I was being treated for MDD, PTSD, Anxiety and ADHD.

My NP exhausted all options for those medications and doses before side effects took over or quality of life was too difficult to deal with (was on disability for about 10 months).

It was a medication used for seizures that actually worked WELL and changed my life 10 fold.

Life was like I was using a hammer to get the screw in and it kind of worked but it was unbearably difficult but now, I actually have a screwdriver.

Happy to answer any clarifying questions but I wanted to make this short just to say thank you. But please don’t give up - now that I know what I have and being treated for it (in therapy too) I now understand how difficult of a patient I must have been. Literally makes me tear up and I am SO thankful the NP didn’t write me off. So thankful.

Besides therapy, is there 2 things you would recommend to anyone with BPD to improve their relationships?
I would say -

1. have daily habits and if you’re not doing your daily habits do not make big changes.
   2 Also never quit job, life, etc on a bad day.

Walked into patient’s room and asked what was going on and three staff members two of which were RNs told me that the patient didn’t have a pulse (they checked radial). I checked in femoral and he didn’t have pulse. I asked if he was full code and there was hesitancy and someone said yes as I was climbing on the bed and said I’m starting CPR. Very quickly I needed relief because my hand was hurting and without going through all the details of the code I ended up getting reprimanded from my manager because my hand hurt and they asked me “why did I start CPR? Someone else would have.”
That fucked me up. I cried for about an hour later. Replaying in mind. Etc etc. mind you, this is the first time in 10 years I have ever seen someone come back to mentation after 2 rounds of CPR.
But I was in the wrong according to them. Help me process please?

Trying to cancel. Bought trip protection through Priceline and it does not help. Breeze airways phone number says to leave a message with my EMAIL and it’s going to take a “few days”. Has anyone had positive experience with this? So stressful for no reason.
