Found this dance group dancing to the chidori.

Found this dance group dancing to the chidori.

It was such a random find and it was soooo good. They even do the "dance move" of the video.

Found a new favourite song that I liked after watching a few more videos of their.

PS - The new song was sakanaaction - music. The song is apparently 10 years old.

Is kochi a good place to spend your life in?

I recently cracked and central govt job and now I'm stuck between choosing mumbai and kochi.

Reasons I don't want mumbai.

  1. The salary is nothing compared to the rent and housing prices of mumbai cuz it's such a HCOL area.

  2. Even if I choose to buy somewhere else or rent elsewhere it will be farther from my job location and will have to spend 3 hours everyday at the minimum in the local commute.

  3. The overall lifestyle of people doesn't appeal to my frugal and saving mindset and I think I'll be harder to find like minded people in mumbai when every other family is either in business or big tech, new money.

  4. I don't get work from home so I'll have to travel for 3 hours daily for the next 20-25 years.

Reasons I may choose mumbai

  1. I am a Maharashtrian and live here so assimilation should not be a big deal.

  2. There's nothing new to explore or learn as I have already lived near Mumbai or at least the outskirts of it.

  3. will be close to family and could save on journeys back and forth.

I wanted to ask the people of Kerala or rather people who reside in kochi.

  1. Is the cost of living comparative to mumbai or overall lower?

  2. is there strong racism or othering of people who don't speak the language or are not belonging to the state?

  3. is kerala a deeply religious country and if so are the chances of marriage prospects nil?

  4. Is the overall commute to major cities a major hassle or the same as every other metropolitan region?

  5. is there a big community of all types of professionals in kochi or is it a cohort of just govt employees....I'm not aware of kochi as a whole since I have only visited Kerala once.

  6. are there problems assimilating like Bangalore where they force you to speak and learn the language but are somewhat saved by the rather gigantic (other state) crowd so it's not that compulsory in nature?

  7. is it advisable to start anew in kochi from scratch if you don't know anything about Kerala or is it advisable that i just bite th bullet and stay near my home state.

  8. are there any govt employees stationed here from other states? How is life here aside from being homesick? Can you save money and have lesser commute times.

Want to know your opinion. Is mumbai even worth it for middle class people to live in not survive.

I have recently cracked a central govt exam and although the postings are all over India, I have a high chance of getting mumbai. The salary is decent at 60k pm for now but we only get an annual increment of 3percent and promotion are like every 7-10 years (Don't come at me I chose govt job becuz i don't have a marketable degree)...but I don't think that is enough for such a HCOL place like Mumbai.

Though I am a resident of Maharashtra and do live near Mumbai. I have never actually lived in the so called "proper mumbai" almost everyone I know who works in Mumbai has to travel by local and getting quarters or flats near the offices are next to impossible becuz of how many big central govt offices and PSU's are there and the waiting list is backlogged for years...plus it takes up a major part of your salary if you choose quarters.

I just can't bear to travel for 3 hours everyday (no work from home) for the next 20 years or so on a salary which barely scratches the present inflation and has salary revisions every 10 years.

Since I have also heard that people with dual incomes well upwards of 2 lpa per month are struggling to buy flats and most of the real estate is causally usurped by the elites and rich IT money of mumbai. My main question is can you even afford to live in mumbai from SCRATCH right now with a POSSIBILITY of dual income which will also be equal or low.

  1. At what salary can you even think of living (not surviving) here? I know a lot of people do that but I don't want to spend my life spending a major chunk of it being pressed in a mildew soup of sweat and armpit smell in a tightly packed can. I know it's gonna get worse.

  2. is it even worth it to stay long term just because "spirit of mumbai"

  3. Wouldn't the real estate be equally worse when it comes to buying a flat in the coming years or is everyone okay with living on rent for th rest of their lives. Even with new constructions the prospect seems bleak.

The alternative is that I have the possibility of getting a job in kochi kerala if I choose to.

But here's the dilemma - I have zero family or friends in Kerala, the language is gonna be a major setback even though I know most speak English. Overall I have heard that amongst the southern states kerala is slightly better because it doesn't suffer from the extreme IT boom like Chennai and Bangalore.

What would you choose? And no i don't have any parental responsibility and my father has govt healthcare and he plans to shift to nagpur after his retirement in 2 years or so. I already have a big brother who works in IT and lives in pune.

If you were me would you choose to live here or go to Kerala. This is 20 years that we are talking about. I'm 25 btw.

My priorities are not that crazy. I don't care for clubbing, don't wanna spend a lot of time out drinking or bar hopping or cafe hopping.

I want to learn skills that are not job oriented and hobbies that make me happy but need time and the best perk of a govt job after security is time. I don't have any actual real responsibility as of now and I plan on having zero kids.

I'm not a splurger and i want to save more money than my cohort usually cares to save. I know the experiences require a lot of money but I do not feel any kind of FOMO from such activities and i don't care for it. I just want time.

TL;DR - want to know if I'll be able to afford living not survive in Mumbai at a minimum paid central govt job (60k pm with annual increment of 3 % every year) while skipping the local travel scenario (not entirely I dont mind 20 mins or so) or is it better to move south to Kerala even though I don't have family there or know anything about Kerala.

I think I fucked up.

I think I fucked up while filling the ssc cgl 2026 form. The Asst audit officer and asst accounts officer post for state cadres required you to select the language but I just picked the language (english) in which I was taught because the form said "medium of your matriculation". Now I just assumed that it was just random and didn't matter. Little did I know that this was for state cadre post for the level 8 jobs.

Why would they say matriculation when the notification clearly states that you need to pass the language proficiency tests? Why would they make it ambiguous like that. Why would you ask such a general question for such a specific post?

They didn't even specify this in the window correction form. Like what? This doesn't even make sense. When i was filling the form it only allowed one language to be selected. Now after watching videos I saw that you can have multiple languages.

Bro wtf do I do? 😭

What is preferable growth wise? Get a level 4 job in state/centre after graduation or have 3 gap years to get a level 6/7 job in centre (also state but those positions are lesser in state)

Basically what the title says. But I wanna add more nuance to this question. I want to gauge what people feel about this question in a lot more depth, including marriage, job growth, salary, personal development etc.

  1. Do you feel ashamed that you have as many gap years while someone has already completed a major part of adulting at that time and have also stayed employed?

  2. Do you think you missed out on a lot of major outings and celebrations and the care free lifestyle that one can enjoy in the early 20s instead of later because everyone eventually gets married or serious about their career?

  3. Is it possible that the guy at level 4 actually catches up to level 6 while you are just starting now?

...there are some other questions too but I this is it for now.

Merko pata hai ki koi unemployed bandey ko job milna sabse accha hai koi bhi ho. Lekin as a versus situation would you think one would be better than the other.

There currently a bat inside my room at 12:05 in morning.

Dude randomly spawned out like it was Dwayne Johnson starting in his self made dracula movie and jumped me.

Shit was like a horror film "wait what was that? Wait what was that again? Fuck it's an insect, no it's a bird, no it a MOTHERFUCKING BAT IN MY ROOM.

Dude hit the ceiling fan and was stunned that's when I took the video. Then It got up and ALL HELL BROKE LOSE. It's like he was possessed by all the dead kamikaze pilots and started spiral diving and circulating in my room.

Should have thrown him out when I had the chance. Now dude has taken over my room.

I opened the windows but it is not going out. It doesn't help that it's been raining the whole day and the little fucker just had to find my room to fuck with.

Wish me luck.

Guess which band I like from my art.

Had to insert a yorushika symbol in this recent project by me and my sister. Took forever but we got it done.

Notice me N-buna senpai and Suis senpai.

Finally kalyan mein tax se kuch kaam ho raha hai kya?

Acchanak se Mangeshi Shrushti 2 mein saaf safai chlau ho gaya. Real mein saaf safai hai ki sirf proof chahiye ke kuch kar rahe hai.

Don't wanna be disrespectful to the sweepers but addhe se zyada to vibe sweeping chalu hai.

Aur last mein jo gaddi ke side mein white shirt aur uncle attire mein addmi tha voh sirf record kar raha tha.
