i think it was fun to do exaggerated facial proportions like this. he looks really really cutie to me I was giggling and kicking my feet in the air while drawing this :)

Walter White: Australian Magpie! Known to be very territorial and to swoop bikers nearby their nests!!! Get off my territory!!! X3 Also very smart like Walter. Apparently they can recognize up to 100 faces ???

Jesse Pinkman: Yellow Rumped Warbler! I feel like he should be a small bird and this warbler really matches the clothes he wears all the time with intricate white and black patterns + yellow accents! ALSO I saw a yellow rumped warbler while hiking once and it was jumping around and frolicking by itself in a meadow, just joyful and whimsical, and it reminded me a lot of Jesse (especially when he's at first let into Gus's lab without Walt LOL).

Skyler White: Azure-Winged Magpie! I think that it fits with Walter being an australian magpie, since australian magpies aren't corvids unlike true magpies. So magpie Skyler thinks he is another magpie but no! He's more closely related to butcherbirds (seems to align with his criminal activities lol). Also azure winged magpies are really pretty birds, just like how Skyler is really pretty!!! (+ they're coloured sky blue haha)

Hank Schrader: Feral Pigeon/Rock Dove! Whenever I see male pigeons in the city, they're always puffed up and following female pigeons! Hank is not such a romantic, but I think the bravado really suits him! It always seems like he's puffing himself up (seeming more tough) for other people (just like pigeons haha).

Marie Schrader: Satin Bowerbird! Plenty of birds are known to steal trinkets so I knew I had to pick one of those for Marie due to her similar behaviour lol. Satin Bowerbirds are a bit purpleish (Marie's signature colour!) and love to hoard trinkets as part of a mating display. I notice Marie has a lot of purple stuff in her house, which reminded me a lot of the tendency of these birds to hoard blue plastic trinkets lol! I know that only the males do this (and look purple) but I think it's cute anyway so I will stick with it! (trans!Marie? idk XD)

Saul Goodman: Brown-Headed Cowbird! Cowbirds are most known for their brood parasitism, where they lay eggs in other bird's nests. I thought this sneaky and criminal behaviour really fit Saul lol! On a birdwatching walk once, I walked past a trap (jail!) for these birds to prevent their nest parasitism on Bell's Vireos! Saulbird seems like he would somehow end up in bird jail because saulbird can't really lawyer his way out haha. I might rethink this one though since with his flashy personality maybe a parrot or other colourful bird would fit better (alas I do not know many parrot species!!!). (sidenote: I haven't seen better call saul yet so I also don't know saul that well as a character!!!! Will watch it as soon as I finish s5 of brba lol)

Gus Fring: Common Raven! I felt like ravens have a really really similar polite look in their eyes to Gus! And, as corvids, they're also known to be pretty smart, just like Gus lol. The main justification I have is just their face lol I just feel like they both have very similar expressions most of the time XD

Opinions on my choices? other ideas? thanks in advance for any feedback lol

Ignore me whispering in the video. Who could this be? My main suspects are Cetti‘s or Reed but I may be completely wrong. Would really appreciate some help! I have compared the call(?) heard in the video to some calls of warblers online but I haven‘t found anything that really sounds like it so I’m starting to suspect it’s another bird or creature’s call going on in the background. Idrk

Pretty sure the other woodpecker is a juvenile..? Will post a photo in comments of the other woodpecker. seems a bit odd. Google turns up either mating or territorial display for this behavior but this is a bit odd for a grown woodpecker to do to a juvenile right? Or am I wrong in my ID?
side note that there were 2 presumably younger green woodpecker following this older one.

Could it be a juvenile coot? Or something altogether different..? Seen in one of the parks of central London
