Help new to LSAT Prep

So, I took my diagnostic about three weeks ago and scored a 147. I signed up for LSAT Lab over 7Sage and started studying, but I haven’t really been enjoying it. I think a big part of the issue is that there are a lot of videos, and that learning style just isn’t for me. I’m not someone who learns well through videos because I tend to get distracted and bored—like, very bored. Its been two weeks of studying and I feel like Ive hardly learned anything through the videos at all.

I recently heard about LSAT Demon, and from what I’ve seen, it seems to focus a lot more on drilling. In other things I’ve studied for, I’ve always learned better through practicing and drilling rather than watching a lot of videos, so I think that approach might work better for me.

My concern is that with the LSAT, there are still a lot of foundational concepts and question types that I don’t know yet. Would it be realistic for me to sign up for LSAT Demon and do essentially all of my learning through it, while working my way up from a 147 toward the mid-160s or higher?

Or would it be better to first learn the foundations through a platform like 7Sage or LSAT Lab, get more familiar with the different question types and concepts, and then switch over to LSAT Demon once I have a stronger foundation?

I’d really appreciate any honest advice from people who have used these platforms or taken a similar approach. Thanks

Help idk what platform to use

So, about three weeks ago, I took my LSAT diagnostic and scored a 147. I started doing some research on which platforms to use, and before getting on 7Sage, I heard about LSAT Lab. I decided to give it a try, and although it’s only been about two weeks and Ive been struggling with focusing, I dont think its been the best for me to really learn and improve.

I think a big part of it is that there are so many videos, and I’m not really good at learning through videos. I tend to get very bored while watching them, start daydreaming, and eventually just lose focus. I’ve realized that I enjoy the times where Ive dont questions and either see why I got them right or see why I got them wrong. On LSAT lab it feels like I dont get enough of that since I lose so much time on the videos. (either losing focus or pausing to read and take notes).

I recently heard about LSAT Demon, which seems to be much more focused on drilling and practicing. Although that sounds great I dont know if it would be better to do a course like LSAT Lab or 7sage to learn the foundations or if its perfectly fine to do drilling for months and eventually learn it like that. (I dont know much of the foundation at all yet and the topics on the videos are all always new to me when it talks about the different types of questions.)

For those of you who have used LSAT Demon, did you go through a more traditional course first, or did you start with LSAT Demon right away and learn through drilling? If you started with Demon from the beginning, how did that work out for you?

I’d really appreciate any advice because I’m trying to figure out the best approach moving forward and dont want to continue spending hours to feel as if Im not learning much. Thanks!

Help don’t know where to start

Hey all, I just did my cold diagnostic today and got a 147 scaled score, 40 raw. I’ll begin studying tomorrow but don’t even know where to begin and I’m not the best at using reddit. I’ve heard 7Sage, LSATDemon, Kaplan, books etc. If any of you read this and can provide me with valuable information on how I can move forward and what services are good/arent good i’d appreciate it. For insight for the next 4-6 months LSAT will be my priority so any methods that include more hours of prep aren’t an issue.

What LSAT for my gpa?

Hey guys so I’m graduating in Dec of this year. I’m taking two classes right now (A in both) and have 4 left for Fall. I currently have a 3.60 GPA and I’m sure by getting A’s in all my final 6 classes it won’t go up by much. What would be a good lsat for me to get into a good law school? I’m taking my diagnostic on Monday and giving myself 6 months to go from there but I’m just curious. If it were up to me I’d love to get into UM or FIU.
Also if any of you have any advice for studying for the lsat I’d appreciate it. Thank you!

21 looking for some help! i’d appreciate it a lot

Hey guys I am a 21M looking for some help. I am currently doing my undergrad for cybersec (grad dec then doing my masters for about a year). I am currently working a job where I’m doing 32h $575 weekly ($503 after taxes I get paid 1099). I take about $100 weekly for myself to spend on what I need so that leaves me with $300 sometimes more though if I randomly decide not to get $100 for the week. I have $6830 in my high yield savings, $2.3k in crypto (i put in $3.3k so when it goes up ima sell. in 2024 i lost $4.8k in crypto sadly. hard time but i learned from it.) i recently put my emergency cash into VOO $3500 and its just at $3580 to make it clear. I currently have a car that works but it’s getting bad so i want to save for one as time comes. How should I be investing the money I have to invest and where? My friend was telling me to get into stocks, he’s a smart guy who works in accounting and is up on stocks but I can’t handle that risk right now as a student especially with money I can put towards a new car. I’d rather play the safe game with less returns until I get my first post grad job that’ll pay me more hopefully within the next 2-3 years. So yea I’ll repeat I just want some advice on what I should invest in, and if you guys don’t mind advice on the numbers and what you guys would do in my situation. I love listening to those who know more than me in any topic and I thought about posting here with hopes that people who know more will give me feedback. Thank you all for reading!

Turned 21 4 weeks ago and got this for myself this past saturday. Still a college student so it wasn’t cheap at all but I don’t regret it whatsoever. Its my first watch and I now understand why you all love watches, it changes outfits completely. Even a simple outfit with a nice watch looks nicer.

This week I just got my first watch which was the Hamilton Murph. I’ve also been inlove with the baby blue PRX. Here is a pic, let me know what you think and also let me know where I can find them on discounted prices maybe for the holidays or something. I’d like to stay away from the grey sellers but if any of you have had a positive experience buying this from there I’d also love to know! This is the 40mm which I thought would be too big but actually fits just fine imo

So about a month ago I spoke with my aunt who had 4 watches passed down to her from her aunt who passed. It’s a rolex presidential, Omega something, and I didn’t see the other two. We had a long talk about watches and she got me to look into them. I was in between many watches but since I tried on a Hamilton Murph 1 week ago I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I know many get it for the movie but I don’t mind much for that I just love how it looks. Went back today to pull the trigger and I couldn’t be happier. I’m just a college student so I won’t be getting a new watch anytime soon and I’m happy I was able to save to get a Murph as my first! Lmk what you guys think. This is the 38mm version
