a silly question from a non-Catholic Christian

This is a bit of a silly question, but I want to start learning about saints even though I’m not really Catholic, How do you tell which saint is which, since many of them have the same names?

I am making my own community for teens of faith.(Repost)

I know religion tends to get a lot of hate on some subs, so I made one called r/Religiousteen . It’s a calm, supportive space for teens to talk about faith and religion without pressure or judgment. This community welcomes all teenagers who want a safe place to ask questions, share experiences, and explore what belief means to them. We expect kindness no harassment, mocking, forcing beliefs, or drama. Honesty and real struggles are welcome, and every tradition and level of belief is included. If you’re looking for a peaceful, judgment‑free place to talk about faith or religion, this is it.

Here are some stereotypes I want to debunk, and as a guy who has been affected by this thinking, I feel it.

People act like guys think about sex every second of the day, but that is not true. Sure, guys think about it sometimes, but not the way people make it sound. Most guys have school, jobs, responsibilities, and things they actually care about. They are not walking around trying to get with every girl they see. People talk like guys only want one thing, but that is not how most guys think at all. A lot of the things people say make it seem like guys do not have normal thoughts, goals, or self‑control.

Another thing people say is that guys are bad at communicating. What really happens is that boys grow up being told to hide their feelings, not talk about what hurts, and just deal with it. So guys learn to solve problems instead of talking about emotions. That does not mean they are bad at communicating. It means they were never given a safe way to do it.

When someone finally tells a guy to open up, they forget he has been holding everything in for years. When he finally talks, it all comes out at once because he never had a real outlet before. That does not make him dramatic or unstable. It just shows how long he has been carrying things alone.

People also act like not playing sports makes a guy gay, which is just wrong. A guy can like art, gaming, music, tech, or anything else and still be straight.

There is also the idea that guys do not get hurt emotionally like women, but they do. Guys feel heartbreak, rejection, loneliness, and betrayal just like anyone else. They just do not get many chances to show it without being judged. When a guy shows pain, he usually gets told to man up by both men and women. Women might say they do not care in words, but their actions often say otherwise, and that only makes him regret opening up in the first place.

And the stereotype that guys do not need support is one of the worst. Guys deal with loneliness and stress all the time, but people act like they are supposed to handle everything alone. The pressure to be “strong” all the time ends up hurting them more than anyone realizes.

If I missed any stereotypes, type them and I’ll debunk them.
