A Namco system SUPER256

The last and smallest model of the system246/256 family, also, the most powerful PS2 in the world.

It has twice the RAM on both CPUs:

• Emotion engine: 64mb of RAM

• PS1 CPU (aka IOP): 4mb of RAM

Both CPUs are overclocked at +50%

• Emotion Engine 442.3 Mhz

• PS1 CPU: 55.3 Mhz

Sound processing unit is also juiced up with a sample rate of 72kHz

The yellow RCA plug is a third audio channel coming from a custom PCB on the system256 expansion port

this system was only used by the time crisis 4

Cuenta con el doble de ram en ambos procesadores

Tiene ambos procesadores overclockeados:

El procesador de audio tiene una frecuencia de muestreo en 72kHz.

La ficha rca amarilla del frente es de una placa de audio conectada al puerto de expansión del system256

Este sistema fue usado para un único título: el Time Crisis 4

desde mi ultimo post el dia del lanzamiento de PCSX2x6, venimos como loquitas

actualmente el 84% de los titulos del system246 y 256 son jugables! solo quedan un par de ovejas negras como el IDOLMASTER y el druaga online

Hello there, I'm currently working on PCSX2x6, a parallel fork of PCSX2 oriented towards NAMCO SYSTEM246 arcade emulation.

This platform includes SoulCalibur2, and its exclusive "Conquest mode".

Which will be playable on the first public Alfa that will eventually be released. Stay tuned!

desarrollador homebrew de PlayStation2 (autodidacta)

hoy despues de 2 meses de trabajo esporadico, logre que PCSX2 lea un juego de system246. y sin emular magicgate, como usaban de excusa los maricones de PCSX2

para el que no lo sabe, el namco system246 es una plataforma arcade basada en un modelo especial de PlayStation2 (todo oficial de sony) que fue bastante popular en su epoca, siendo la cuna de clasicos como el SoulCalibur2, 3. TEKKEN 4 y 5. Blody roar3, entre muchos otros.

actualmente existia el emulador play, pero segun me comentan amigos de la scene, para que un juego de system246 corra a 60 frames estables pide mas recursos que el cyberpunk. asi que a raiz de eso y la actitud forra de los DEVS de PCSX2 dije

"listo, que la chupen. lo hago yo"
