I’m not complaining at all about the release of the werecat lady doll at all. I think she’s an extremely underrated character as a haunted mansion fan and I am happy she’s getting a doll in general.

That being said I have been very confused about why they decided to bring her out this year since…well, since they announced the haunted mansion was getting a new doll at all in 2026.

I say this because normally there has to be some kind of special event to justify an LE release, especially for such a niche character. Constance was released for the premiere of the 2023 movie, and Sally was released in 2024 for the ride’s 55 anniversary. But the haunted mansion doesn’t have its next milestone anniversary until 2029. It doesn’t have anything particularly special this year, so this drop seems very random to me, as excited as I am for it. And no, the Halloween season by itself isn’t a special event. They do haunted mansion merch for Halloween annually but limited or special stuff like the dolls are typically saved for actual events.

The most I can think about is the anniversary of the ride’s opening in Magic Kingdom (magic kingdom in general is turning 55 years old this year), which probably explains why Magic Kingdom got her before disneyland(??), but that seems so random because they don’t usually celebrate second copies of rides with stuff like this. Anniversaries are usually especially for the original first ever version of a ride. So what gives?

Are they just deciding that HM is successful enough as an IP that they don’t need anniversary-based justifications to release more LE dolls and products, especially because their first two HM dolls were very successful? Because if thats the case, this potentially throws out their rules for just about any successful franchise they make LE dolls for.

Perhaps you can partially blame it on me being up way to late while on vacation and spiraling while overthinking but it just hit me that perhaps my dolls aren’t as protected as they should be and now I’m anxious about it 🥹

I live in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where theres a decent amount of heat and humidity for the whole year. However, I never really took into consideration how hot or humid my room actually is when the Ac isn’t on. From what I’m able to feel it doesn’t typically feel super bad but my subjective experience isn’t exactly trustworthy and its not like I have anything on me to measure those factors accurately.

I keep my dolls up against a wall in my room, not directly in front of the window but on the wall opposite to the window and a few feet to the left (lets say 4-5 feet). I am also typically away at college for 5 days a week so its not like I can just keep the AC or fan running while I am away (I also read that exposing your dolls to extreme temperatures changes like keeping the AC on for a weekend and then turning it off for several days after can damage them because of the contrast, accelerating damage)

With everything including the fact that most Disney LE dolls post 2020 are suspected of using poly hair, I am nervous about preserving my dolls for as long as possible. Important note, I am also an in box collector for the disney LEs so its not like I mess with them too much but still

They’re the creator who started the whole “Apple and Raven switched at birth” theory. And I was wondering if over the years anyone has watched the rest of the content up until recently. Because outside of just that theory, they also make other video essays and theories about EAH, but I have been largely avoiding them as a creator. Because even though alot if their video essays do sound interesting based on the title, especially because I’m someone who does constantly crave EAH content in video essay form, both as a lover of analytical content and as a way to keep the fandom alive, Fairytale vibes largely lost alot of credibility for me all the way when they first came up with the switched at birth theory and then just continued posting subsequent videos about the theory bringing up easily refutable evidence, and insisting that that reinforced their theory.

I, like many people in the fandom, really despise the switched at birth theory because of how flimsy it is and because of how much it goes against the entire theme of the story. So I don’t think it’s hard to understand why a creator would lose credibility for me about their opinions on the show in general when one of the theories they are most known for is a theory that so fundamentally misunderstands and even downright ignores everything the show stands for. So for the past few years anytime their videos pop up on my youtube feed, I always just ignore it because even if the titles sound very interesting, and I am temporally interested in watching said videos, I just end up not doing so because I already expect this person‘s points and theories to be flimsy at best.

I was wondering if anyone here had seen some of their other content related to EAH and if that content was any good. Because I know it seems and probably is very pessimistic and judgmental of me to refuse to watch a creator without even hearing them out first just based on one theory of theirs that blew up, but honestly, I’d rather save my time. Which is why I’m asking y’all who have familiarized themselves more with their content, Has their stance on the theory changed? Are their other theories any good or are they just as flimsy? Let me know if y’all know.

Classic struggle of wanting to draw, but not finding the motivation 🥲

Honestly I didn’t know how to phrase the question in the title but to explain more clearly. If you’re a Vocaloid fan and not just an evillious fan (which I assume half of you are because of the nature of the series) and you know that with a vocal synth voicebank you can manipulate the voices to sing in the higher pitch to the lower pitch, hence why the tones and pitches of the same character can vary across peoducers, songs, and tuning styles.

Because the grand majority of evillious characters are represented by vocaloid characters, and because many vocaloids present in the series play more than one character, I was wondering if perhaps you had certain headcanons about which pitch or tone each character would speak in (could be but also doesn’t have to be necessarily inspired by how mothy tunes them in the songs)

For example, I like to think Eve speaks in Miku’s lower tone, granted its not in every single song but I feel like especially after the SCAP album, Mothy does tend to pitch Miku lower when she’s singing as Eve, so thats just ingrained in my brain now 😭. While characters like Michaela and Mikulia speak in the mid to high range (given Miku’s voice is naturally already high)

I lowkey want to talk about my headcanons for some of the others but that would make this post wayy too long and I just needed an example. I might go off in the replies 😭

I realize that that description alone is super vauge but to be more specific, I mean like a lot of the super electropop/edm style songs that were very in during the early 2010s, specifically the ones that feature this sort of “diva/bad bitch” energy. Think masked bitch by Giga ft Gumi, Girls by Easypop ft Luka, most of anything by Umetora especially with Divine Diva (pomp and circumstance being their most popular example).

Idk if I’m being specific enough but its a very specific vibe and I wish to add more songs like that to my playlist. If ya’ll have underrated recs, please let me know (preferably with any of the following characters: luka, miku, rin, gumi, ia, or lily, as those are the characters I most like to associate with the genre) I also can’t say I’m too interested in songs featuring guys as the very specific vibe I’m looking for solely focused on female vocals
