Looking for simple AI tools to help me turn lessons into slides

I’ll be honest, I’m probably a bit behind on all these AI tools, but I’ve been hearing other teachers talk about using them for slides and I feel like I should probably start looking into it.

Right now I still build everything manually and it just takes way more time than it probably should.

I’m just curious what people are actually using that can take basic lesson content and turn it into decent slides without too much effort.

Outgrowing Notion for operations tracking. what tools are you moving to?

We started using Notion for managing internal processes and it worked well in the beginning. we used it for things like SOP documentation, vendor approval tracking, budget templates and basic project workflows. But as the team and volume of work have grown its starting to feel harder to manage. we now have multiple versions of the same workflows floating around and its becoming common for updates to be made in the wrong place or for information to get out of sync.

For those who have outgrown Notion for operations or process management what did you switch to?

What's the best AI personal assistant?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for an AI personal assistant to help with meeting notes, to-do lists, calendar management, and contacts.

There are a lot of tools out there now, so I'm curious what people are actually using day to day.

What's worked well for you, and what hasn't?

At what point does a full server backup strategy become too complex?

Hi all,

We're revisiting our backup approach and one question keeps coming up: is maintaining full server backups actually worth the operational complexity?

We already back up our critical data, but we've also been looking at image-based or full server backups to simplify recovery. On paper, restoring an entire server sounds straightforward. In practice, it seems to introduce another layer of storage, retention, testing, monitoring, and recovery planning.

I've been exploring options like GCP, but I'm more interested in the broader question than any specific platform.

For those running production environments, how are you balancing full server recovery against the complexity of maintaining complete system backups?

Are you backing up entire servers, relying primarily on data backups plus infrastructure automation, or using a mix of both?

What has proven to be the most practical approach when recovery speed and operational overhead are both important?

I'd be interested to hear what has worked and what you've moved away from.

Which coding AI tool are you actually using in 2026?

I've been trying a few AI tools lately and at first glance they all feel pretty similar but im sure there are bigger differences once you actually use them day to day.

the tools i'm looking at are Claude, cursor, Github Copilot, Codex and antigravity.

For those of you using them regularly which one do you actually rely on and why?

Where does each one perform best in real use(debugging, repo understanding, refactoring, agent workflows etc?)

Do you stick with one tool or switch between a few depending on the task? Would be great to hear real world experience instead of feature comparisons or marketing claims.

What AI tools/ automations are actually useful and worth using?

I'm honestly getting a bit lost with how many AI tools and platforms are coming out all the time.

Right now I mostly use Claude for writing content, brainstorming campaign ideas, and planning out marketing work.

I'm a junior marketing (B2B/ IT outsourcing/outstaffing) and my day to day work is pretty mixed. it ranges from campaign planning and strategy to writing LinkedIn posts managing social media and setting up email campaigns. it's not very technical but there are a lot of different tasks and some I handle myself while others coordinate with the team.

Im curious what AI tools or automations actually find useful in real workflows especially if youre working in marketing or running things solo. what's genuinely helpd you save time or improve output rather than just adding more complexity?

Best personal AI assistant in 2026?

I've been testing a few personal AI assistants focused on doing actual tasks not just answering questions.

Vellum works well for local permission controlled workflows.

Lindy is more polished but cloud based and gets expensive with heavy use.

Manus is improving with local access but still feels early.

Claude-based agents are strong but locked into one ecosystem.

Hermes is powerful but requires self-hosting.

Overall there doesnt seem to be a clear winner yet. it really depends whether you prioritize privacy, usability or flexibility

Open-source alternative to Fyxer Al

Hi there,

We're building an open-source, self-hosted alternative to Fyxer Al: [https://getinboxzero.com\]

Would love feedback from the community on similar tools, or thoughts on whether a self-hosted approach makes sense for this use case.

Has anyone tried building or using something similar for inbox automation?

What's the best tool for Poshmark engagement automation?

I'm looking for tools that help with Poshmark engagement such as sharing, following, and general closet activity.

I've seen a few automation tools mentioned but I'm not sure which ones are actually reliable in day to day use.

For those who use automation, what has worked best for you? Are these tools stable long term or do they tend to break or cause issues with accounts?

Would appreciate real experiences and recommendations.

What Notion Alternatives are people actually using long term?

I've been going down the "Notion Alternative" rabbit hole recently and didn't realize how crowded this space has become.

Ever discussion seems to point in a different direction. Some people want a better writing experience. Other care more about databases. Some prioritize offline notes or team collaboration. Some just want something simple that does not turn into a maintenance project after a few months.

I started keeping track of the tools mentioned and the list keeps growing: Obsidian, Anytype, ClickUp, UpNote, Bear, Joplin, Standard Notes, Taskade, and more.

What stands out is that most tools seem strong in one area but weak in another. Some are great for personal knowledge management but not collaboration. others are powerful but feel heavy or enterprise oriented. Some are clean and simple but lack features that eventually become necessary.

At this point it feels like Notion's main advantage is being "good enough" across many use cases in one place, even if it is not perfect in any single one.

Curious what people here actually ended up sticking with long term. Did you fully paid Notion or end up combining multiple tools?

Is there a competitor to Manus?

Saw a claim that OpenAi's new agent-style release is very similar to manus. especially in how the timeline and task execution in UI is structured.

The comparison highlights things like autonomous browsing, step-by-step reasoning, and workflow tracking across tasks like document analysis and research.

Curious if people think this is actually comparable, or if the similarity is being overstated.

Client reporting tools for unified campaign dashboards?

We are looking for software that can unify marketing campaign data into a single client dashboard.

We want to pull data from channels like Facebook Ads, and Google Ads and display everything in one place that clients can access directly.

It should track metrics like ad spend, ROI, CAC, engagement, follower growth, post interactions, and ideally surface insights from comments and messages.

The main goal is to reduce manual reporting work and let clients see live campaign performance without needing updates.

For those using GitHub Copilot, what other AI tools have earned a permanent spot in your workflow?

GitHub Copilot has become the default AI tool for a lot of developers, but it feels like the ecosystem has expanded pretty quickly over the last year.

I'm curious what tools people are actually using alongside or instead if Copilot today. Could be coding assistants, agent based tools, data analysis tools, research assistants, or self hosted options.

have any of them genuinely improved your workflow, or do most of them end up overlapping with what Copilot already does? Looking for real world experiences rather than feature comparisons.

Best AI assistance for managing inbox and scheduling

A lot of daily work gets lost in coordination tasks like emails, scheduling, follow-ups, and constant context switching. I've been testing a few AI assistants that try to take over parts of the layer.

Consul feels like a full executive assistant that handles inbox triage, drafts replies, and helps schedule meeting while sending daily briefs. Clara is more focused on scheduling through email threads and automating the back-and-forth to lock in meeting times. Marblism takes a broader AI employee approach and can manage ongoing admin work like inbox handling and repetitive coordination tasks. Clockwise focuses on optimizing calendars and protecting focus time while coordinating meetings. Reclaim automatically schedules tasks, habits, and meetings based on availability so your calendar manages itself.

Curious what others are actually using long term and what has stuck in real workflows.

Can Anyone Suggest the Best Camera Phone Under ₹50K?

I'm planning to buy a new phone and my budget is around ₹50,000. My main focus is camera quality especially for photos, videos, portraits, and low-light shots.

There are so many options these days that it's hard to decide based on YouTube reviews alone.

If you've used a phone in this price range, which one would you recommend and what has your experience been like?
