What could the reasoning possibly be for bumble to still not allow contact blocking?

I feel like I’m missing something every other app does this. Is it some kind of privacy regulation issue? My apologies if this has been discussed recently

Internet only has five thoughts/opinions. Every few months one gets reposted like it’s a groundbreaking new take, then the cycle repeats.

Social media only has five thoughts/opinions. Every few months one gets reposted like it’s a groundbreaking new take, then the cycle repeats.

Maybe that's just what happens when everyone is reacting to the same algorithm instead of thinking through things themselves. The discourse never really moves forward it just resets. New people discover an old argument, everyone acts like it's the conversation of the moment, and six months later we're right back where we started.

“You know what’s one thing I think is a sign of low intelligence???? People who can’t get past race when it comes to resemblance”

I’ve seen this take 50 times in the past 5 years in the exact same wording and it’s going viral again on tik tok with people who I know for a fact have seen that take before acting like it’s a brand new thought.

An underrated sign of intelligence is knowing and understanding when you’re being pandered to

You don’t even agree with your own momma all the time. You don’t find it suspicious when you get on social media, and you see someone talking and you agree with them 100% of the time?

I can fully agree with someone but the second they start acting like people who disagree with us are evil that’s where I start to disagree. I think Pander Bears often scapegoat entire groups or refuse to provide balanced, fair perspectives because they fear losing their financial backing or algorithmic reach.

Especially if you’re a woman and the person you are watching is a man. You don’t find that suspicious when men like that get online and say everything you want to hear? I feel like we are in a performative epidemic

Most people who argue on the internet especially on Reddit will intentionally go out of their way to misunderstand the other person, and argue semantics

Arguing on reddit is tiring because people use up all of their debate efforts to misunderstand you on purpose. Not to say that people need to be open minded and tolerant of other viewpoints at all, but that at the very least they should show that they understand what the other person is trying to say when disagreeing with them. Ok, they phrased it poorly, their example wasn't the best, they made a spelling error, but if you understand the point then just respond to it, even if it's a negative response.

On reddit, you will always be taken literally. Every generalization or opinion gets unnecessary debated (for example, does it really matter that much if someone says "all" instead of "most"? Is it not obvious that you are talking about your opinion?)

Most of the time when people ask for source it is also just a way to get out of the conversation. I understand that if someone is making a factual statement about something that can be scientifically proven, it makes sense to request for a source. But I see this being asked for things like observations, where even if accurate, it would be very hard to provide a source. It would take a lot of time and effort as well. Usually it is not necessary because you can understand what the person is trying to say and disagree with their assessment without making them jump through hoops for no reason.

The worst is if you say anything thats even a bit confusing, no matter how clear it is in the larger context of your comment. The motto here seems to be that for a good debate, if there is anything left to interpretation, you need to make sure to misinterpret it.

We need to approach even the smallest debates as if we were writing legal contracts: define everything as opinion, statement (plus sources), observation. Make sure every word is explained to death. Think ahead of 10 ways people can twist your words and preemptively address them. Triple check for grammar and anything that can be called a logical fallacy.

This “you don’t owe anyone anything” era that everyone is living in needs to end.

You live in a society. There are social obligations. What is this LinkedIn ass mindset about? While the phrase is meant to encourage healthy boundaries, people often use it as an excuse to avoid basic communication, treat others like they are disposable, or ghost someone instead of having a mature conversation.

“I don’t have to smile at you”

“I don’t have to hold the door open for you”

“I don’t have to be polite to you”

No wonder so many young adults are lonely, people think they don’t owe others basic respect and communication but demand others to accommodate them at all times. I’m so sick of the therapy speak and half of yall don’t even go to therapy you just saw it online. Shit is annoying

Some of these stages man, what was Nintendo thinking?

Fuckin Magicant are you dead ass? If you’re too slow that 1 on 1 turns into a 2 on 1. That flying thing turns into a permanent assist trophy wtf?

The spirit tracks train map? I’ve seen people cheese with the tracks all match.

The super Mario bros stages are terrible too.

To the women that don’t like to approach men, if you never approach a man you are interested in, then you’ll never get to choose who you end up with

To me that is insane. You will never get to choose who you end up with if you just refuse to approach. You miss out on so many people. You’ll just end up settling for the man who had the courage to walk up to you but like it’s never going to be your choice.

I mean, think about it. Fundamentally a man who approaches will always be able to choose the type of woman that he wants to approach even down to the way they look body type, hair color, etc. because he went out of his way to approach. For the women who don’t approach, your entire life will be that you settled for who chose you. You don’t ever get to pick.

Not wanting to approach a man you are romantically interested is a patriarchal mindset, we are leaving patriarchal values in 2026 you got 5 months to shape up

Zelda Skyward Sword is massively over hated and most people would hold it in very high regard if they played it through in 2026

Game is immaculate. Incredible graphics, incredible story with emotional depth, innovative fighting mechanics utilizing motion controls (which can also be disabled for a more classic feel) and the game it self is very important in Zelda lore.

If you have a switch, play skyward sword again and tell me you didn’t love that game

You will never catch me slandering Gohan for not keeping up with his training

Gohan was like 5 years old in Vietnam. Gohan watched his father and his back up father get blown up in front of him, and still wanted to help fight. Then he went to space and saw his best friend get blown up by frieza.

Gohan pushed frieza to his third form. At 5 years old! Then watched his dad get set on fire. Somehow survived Namek and came back and got into a time chamber with his dad and put the world on his back to beat Cell…. Idk I’m saying I think Gohan did his part

Mario’s cape is the best reflector in the game for me, and it’s not close

It literally turns you and your momentum around it’s actually insane as an edge guard.
