shakedown street, the other one, and sugar mag from 6/30/85 dropped today. the recording on this is CRYSTAL clear, about 100x better than the one on the archive, i’m loving it. the bass is real deep and brent sounds wonderful. Super excited for the full drop, this show has a really fun setlist and all the boys are on fire. cool cover art too!
45 years ago - Jerry at the Keystone in Berkeley 8/20/81 - Bob Minkin really captured the essence of the Keystone in these amazing photos and Jim Vita(RIP) taped the show for us to enjoy❤️🎶

What a surprise at the end of my first Primus show
There were a few times between songs that Les looked out towards the Atlantic Ocean, and romanticized the beauty of fishing, sharing fishing stories. Only to bring out a good fishing buddy at the end of the show
Sorry for the phone quality and shitty filming.. 2017 was really that long ago?

Furthur NYE - 2011/2012
Found this stashed away inside an old tube that had housed a Furthur Red Rox poster. Zero recollection of acquiring it.
Anyone hit these shows ?

Deep thought - Do you think Pigpen was bored during 45-minute Dark Stars?
Yes, I know he'd get in on the action some, but I feel like deep down Pig was a spicy bluesman, not really a psychedelic space wizard. I guarantee you he would sometimes be caught yawning during Dark Star 😂
Bill The Drummer’s post today
There will never be another Jerry Garcia. And I miss him as much as ever...
At one point after Jerry’s passing, I was alone visiting a beach in Hawaii. Two huge Samoan guys just got back from spearfishing and they emerged from the water like creatures from the dark lagoon. They were as massive as sumo wrestlers and they were carrying spearguns with them, for fishing purposes. But, you know, a weapon’s a weapon. And to prove it, they had dead fish hanging off their belts. I kept my cool when they started walking right toward me, but I’d be bluffing if I said I wasn’t a bit nervous. When they approached, all they said was, “Sorry to hear about da kine.”
They were speaking in Hawaiian Pidgin, the local slang, and they were talking about Jerry.
He would’ve loved that, like it was some sort of prank that made up for the time the dive instructor in Kona asked him for his autograph, 20 feet below the surface. 🤣 It made me smile. Jerry was “da kine.”
It showed just how far and wide his reach was, and how deeply he was embedded in the American consciousness.
Love you, brother.
