I feel so slow. I only knocked out 22 repacks in a full 8 hour shift.
OTC repacks. 23 if you add up those random boxes.
Now from 4-5:30AM is unloading truck and break.
Sigh. Any pointers on how to go faster?

Does anyone have any ideas for a birthday gift for an 8 year old boy? Budget: $30-$40
Any good recommendations? I want a tip reduction for my nose, and a chin reduction.

My stats:
I brush twice a day.
I floss once a day.
I don't smoke.
I don't drink.
No pain.
34 years old.
So I was under the impression that when I got my braces removed at 18, that I was supposed to wear my retainers every night for the rest of my life. My new dentist is recommending a night guard so that I don't grind. So would this night guard replace my retainers? Surely these two things are not interchangeable right?
I was almost outta there today and my fellow team member was asked if he could extend. We came into receiving together, we finished at the same time. He was asked if he could stay a bit longer “I can’t, but I’m not sure about [my name].”
I wasn’t prepared, so I said yes and I did for 30 minutes. I’m a dumbass. It’s my fault. I was going to just slink away. But oh my gosh DON’T MENTION ME! Why even do that? No one asked me yet! Let me just attempt to quietly go lol.
Also I’ve been here since 4AM. I worked a full shift. I want to GO. And also it won’t be worth it for the company for me to stay longer. I’m just going to work slower because I’m so demoralized lol.
So Catherine didn’t come back for the series. What do you think she’s doing? What is her life like? Yeah she’s in a relationship with Mike but like, what else?
I think she volunteers at a psychiatric hospital for women. I like to think she has a close relationship with Kyle. “Thank you for taking care of my boy when I was locked up.” I feel like she’s aware Chucky is still causing mayhem, but doesn’t know that Andy has had recent encounters with Chucky. He’s kept that secret from her, because he knows if she found out, she’d put herself in danger to keep him safe.
He was so nice and cool.
I asked him if Catherine and Chris were ever close to signing on to the TV series, and he said “I don’t know. I’m really not sure.”
“I don’t think Catherine would come back, but Chris might.”
I told him I loved season 1, but it would’ve been better if Karen and Mike were with Andy and Kyle. I told him I thought De Silva was going to be working in the White House and he said: “There was talk for a bit about making her Andy’s girlfriend.”
Man, today did not end well. First few hours of my shift were good, then when I came back from lunch it all went downhill.
A team member broke some glassware in kitchen, and I helped them clean it up. Then a guest broke a glass lamp near me, and they called me over. Then a team member went to go get a dust pan while I guarded the glass spill. Another team member told me: “You can’t walk THREE STEPS to this spill station?” and I said back to her “I’m GUARDING THE SPILL.” I didn’t see it there. And the other team member getting a dust pan from a different spill station clearly didn’t see it either. Then she said she can guard it if I have something to do. I do actually. I’m pushing repacks. So she took over and thankfully I didn’t have to deal with that second spill.
I walk by the location of the first spill and I see MORE GLASS. So I get a second box and finish cleaning up the mess that SOMEONE ELSE MADE. This always happens to me by the way. I’m always cleaning up someone else’s glass spill, or helping with a glass spill.
And then I look like a fucking IDIOT because I’M the common denominator with all these glass spills. The ETLs are going to think it’s ME that caused them.
You guys. There were tiny bits of glass IN the glass drinkware on the back endcap. I was HORRIFIED. I think I was able to get them all out. What the fuuuuuck. What if I missed one and a guest fucking swallows a tiny bit of glass.
I didn’t get my push remotely done either. So not only do I look like Captain Idiot with these glass spills, I look like King Slow and Lazy because I didn’t finish my push.
I'm such a paranoid driver. I work from 4AM-12PM. I was driving to work on the freeway. There was an accident. So my Maps took me to an exit. Then it told me to get on the freeway.
Near where the ramp starts to turn into a lane on the freeway, it looked like there was another unrelated incident. I saw a tow truck, I think a police car, and a couple other vehicles.
I was in the lane closest to all of them. There was even a guy(maybe it was a police officer) walking near a car. I know I didn't hit any car or person, but I get SO paranoid. My brain makes me think I did, or got close to it.
I even called the non-emergency highway patrol number after work to ask about that initial accident, so then I could segue into asking about that second, unrelated incident. But they actually couldn't find what I was looking for. They said it happened on a different freeway, and so it could've affected the one I was on, but that first accident was not on a different freeway. I checked the highway patrol page online, and I didn't see anything that matched.
Who can I call to get info? Should I just walk into that city's police station and ask?
Should one do this? I got the impression that I do not have to do this… do I? Should I?
I hit a gas pump barrier. Estimated at the body shop is $3,400 and could go higher if there’s other damage.
I can pay out of pocket. Should I, or should I go through insurance? How much will my insurance go up, and for how long?
It basically acts as my exercise. I easily exceed 10,000 steps a day. I unload the truck at Target then push the product to the floor. We sweat a lot in that first hour of unloading the truck.
Would just eating a banana in the morning be sufficient, or would it better to eat a pouch of brown rice(which is WAY more calories)? I can't honestly tell if there's a difference, because some days I sleep well and others I don't, so that's a factor too.
Will MORE calories just make me groggy and tired and therefore unproductive at work? Should I just stick with the banana?
This is a stupid question, but do I have to notify the manager/owner of the gas station I did this? The barrier wasn't affected. I didn't knock it over or anything.
I started my vehicle, and was going maybe 5 miles per hour when I accidentally turned into the barrier. I wasn't anticipating it being there, because I usually use a pump on the other side, where there is no barrier.
The only damage was to my vehicle.
when I'm backstocking or pulling, and the stupid automatic light turns off, and I have to move around for it to turn back on.
It happened again to me today.
So if I had an 8 hour shift, do I enter 8 hours, or do I enter 7 hours and 15 minutes, since we get an unpaid 45 minute lunch?
I just accidentally turned into a pole at a gas station. I’m an idiot.
2016 Ford Escape.
This is the front right wheel. There’s paint on the wheel. There’s that huge dent.
First of all: is it safe for others if I’m driving on the road or freeway?
Is it safe for me to drive? How urgent is it that I get this fixed?
Ugh. I feel sad. Was already having a bad day.
Or cover? It’s for this small window to the front door. When it’s sunny it causes glare on the TV and it bothers me.
This happened a bit ago yet it still annoys me. I needed to get my second pallet out of the elevator so I can backstock my two pallets. I was walking towards the elevator and asked my fellow team member who was going up, and got inside five seconds prior: “can I grab my pallet really quick?”
And he responded, not in a joking way: “You can if you can get it before it closes.”
Excuse me? I’m grabbing my pallet dude. You’re going up to clock out, it’s not like you’re in a rush to finish work or are in danger of hitting your fifth. Bum!
