I like the designs by Gucci

Most look pretty cool. Especially the women models. If only the brand wasn't that shit...

Edit: Since many people misunderstood the last statement, I want to clarify: I don't like the brand in all they do. They are the fast food of luxury brands. I don't care about their reputation in the watch world. I am all for the "if you like it, buy it" mentality.

Pattern to make a ring?

I'm asking because google is not very helpful. When you seach for chainmail ring you only get results for the rings you use to make chainmail, not the ring you put on your finger.

I made a ring with the european 4 in 1, but its very flimsy and dosent look that great. Can you reccomend weave patters that are not bulky and make a good ring?

Also another question, can i make a european 4 in 1 pattern into a european 6 in 1 pattern without starting over?

We live in crazy times! Here is a gaming library of different genres and thousands of hours of content for around 25 €/$.

  • Story focus: Disco Elysium
  • "City" builder: Planet Zoo
  • Shooter: Battlefield
  • Puzzle/Coop: Portal 2
  • Rouge-like: The Binding of Isaac + 3 DLCs
  • Open world RPG: The Witcher 3
  • Automation: Shapez
  • Survival/Coop: Dont't Starve Together

Eight amazing games for the price of change you can find in your couch. We live in gaming luxury. In the sub 10€ price point per game there are even more amazing options (Skyrim: Special Edition, Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, Terraria, etc), but i wanted to keep it super budget friendly.

I couldnt come up with a racing game that fits because I don't play those.

What would you add to a "one game of each genre" kind of library?

Please help with shopping list

I want to make a gift for my girlfriend, but I only have about a week to finish it, so I dont want to order jump rings online. I want to make a matching set of a bracelet and earrings with the Round Turkish pattern.

I never did anything like that before, so I'm not sure what I need to buy. I have precise pliers and cutters at home, but nothing else. My list so far is:

- 1mm brass wire

- 4mm diameter stick to make coils

- clasp for the bracelet

- ear ring pieces (the things that attach to the ear)

- something that can dangle from the earrings as extra detail

Am I missing anything? is this a realistic project for a beginner and a weeks time?

I know this low effort kind of post is probably common here, but I'd greatly appreciate your experience :)

[Collection] Some cool concept designs from Seiko Germany's Insta.

Source in Comments. Sorry for the weird order, I can't cha get it when posting from the phone.

Personally, I like the one that you can wind up by spinning the bezel.

What is the community cast wearing in the show?

Apparently Britta and Shirley never wear watches in the show.

[Question] Why the fist in wrist pics?

Nearly everyone who takes a wrist pic makes their hand into a fist. But why? There is not a single reason to do that except maybe it's the easiest and quickest pose? During the day when people or you yourself see the watch, the arm is hanging down or maybe on a desk. At least hold something or do anything natural. Mirror pics for example already give so much more context than just the wristfist with a blurry background (even if many still do the fist there).

Especially if you have 5 digits on your wrist, at least spend more than 10 seconds taking a picture of it.

I think there is a lot of potential there that doesn't get explored enough.

I wanted to look up communities that talk about that, but I'm too scared to search for "wristfist".

After long weeks of research I bought myself these two watches for finishing my degree. In my opinion hey make a really good pair for all situations. An every day action watch in the Timex explorer north (quartz and solar for every day convenience) and a dressier option in the Seiko presage sharp edged GMT in green.

Other Seiko options I thought about were the green presage cocktail with the power reserve and the alpinist in green, but i just couldn't get the sharp edged GMT, especially the dial, out of my head.

I am really happy with the pair and cant wait to wear them. I'd love to hear your thoughts and comments on it. Especially if you have suggestions for leather strap colors for the Seiko.

Cheers

I couldn't choose between the presage cocktail in green with the date wheel and the power reserve (SSA459J1) and the sharp edged GMT, but finally landed on this one. I love the uniqueness, the size and of course the dial.
