Thoughts on the papa johns tiktok guy?

I moved to Florida from Wisconsin in 2019 and the first thing I did was get a Disney AP with a universal AP in June 2020. Then I'm taking to coworkers and damn near no one goes to the parks, much less are passholders. So for native Floridians and Orlando residents, what are your thoughts on the theme parks?
I've heard nothing but the absolute worst so anytime I'm the slightest bit inconvenienced I assume the worst.
This could be a tricky one. Disneyland is the OG. It's older, all the classic rides began here. Usually when casuals or those not familiar with the parks will refer to both WDW and Disneyland as, well, Disneyland, regardless of which one they're speaking of. I even remember interchangeably referencing both as Disneyland or Disney world before planning my first trip to Disney world in 2018. More celebrities visit Disneyland.
Then again, Disney world is bigger, it has two more parks, arguably more attractions that are exclusive to it. The Superbowl winners proudly declare they're going there. I can argue it's what more people think of even when thinking of Disneyland.
What do you think? Disneyland is the first, but Disney world is larger and more visited.
I wonder what their plan was for him when they offered him the deal? Someone knew what his schtick was. Did they pitch the idea of being a hype/social media personality who figured into whatever angle they think he can work with? If so that's a pretty good gig right there. With how over he is, and the way he's everywhere promoting everything, he's already one of the biggest personalities in the company, wrestler or otherwise.
The plot was aimless and it felt like it was being made up as it went, the "songs" had no structure, hook or discernable melody, the lyrics were awful. It was beautiful to look at.
Apparently it was supposed to be a 5 episode series that they were told to cram into a move at the last second and that explains a lot.
I never had it when it was a premium service, but I remember when they'd run free trials every so often.
I remember Dumbo's Circus, Welcome to Pooh corner, DTV,. Mickey's mousercize, Ernest goes to splash mountain, the coming home concert series, mousterpiece theater, NKOTB concert specials, that goofy early 90s Alice in wonderland series with the rollerblading rabbit, fluppy dogs, just to name a few.
It takes Anna like 12 years to sing it
I was in highschool when I first started getting into metal, and so I thought it was cool or Badass or whatever to draw pentagrams and inverted crosses on my hands, binders and notebooks; Deicide had this 666 symbol that kind of looked like the cancer sign, I'd draw that on everything (even though I didn't and don't listen to their shitty music), and draw X's on foreheads and whatever else. Looking back it was kind of lame, but did anyone else do that? Do you still do that?
So for shits and giggles I opened a Spotify playlist called "German metal core" not expecting much (I don't like metal core), but this opened up a world of more thrash based death metal, with some slight core Elements. What sold me was HSB's cover of valhalla by blind Guardian of all bands. It turns out they turn out covers of BG, Sodom and others. And they're not just core trash. What a find!
Does anyone remember shows like - Today's special, pinwheel, Sharon Lois and Braham, Cities of Gold, Noozles, Little Koala, Grimms Fairy Tales, Finders Keepers, just to name a few?
Towards the end of the episode there's a part of the background above the house that's not colored in. I was wondering if anyone noticed
I think that's the area. There's a stretch of IBMP in Kissimmee that has purple and gold sign posts, they sort of have a fantasy/MK look to them. I keep thinking they're remnants of a time when Disney owned property there, similar to Celebration. Anyone know?
Since she's the niece of original Iron maiden drummer Clive Burr, she's going all in on the 80s metal gimmick, and it sounds like it's gotten her over immediately. That pop was nice. The SCREAM FOR ME in the intro (A Bruce Dickinson reference) sold me.
Not exactly sure when the last time I played it was but I'm sure it's been since 2000-ish. Anyway
So it has always been a golden calf for me, something that despite its age and how long I last played it still was a favorite.
I played the PS4 port with the QOL features - sped up, unlimited limit breaks and regenerating health and magic. I don't have time to grind. Plus I found a hack to get a gold chocobos in like 30 minutes. And I beat the emerald and ruby weapons in relative short and with ease (first time beating Ruby)
So nostalgia still drove a good chunk of my enjoyment (the cheats also) and for the most part it holds up pretty well still. The battles are SLOOOOOOW. I know it was cos they were flexing their graphical muscles but with that aside, each battle takes forever. Also tying so many story moments to pointless mini games hurt the pacing as well. The snowboard and condor battles in particular still suck.
The worst part is and has always been the localization. The dialogue is stiff, the way the text is laid out in the text boxes doesn't always make sense. It doesn't allow for a very smooth or comprehensive narrative. Back then I just chalked it up to it being a complicated story, and it's still kind of hard to follow, but now I see it's mostly due to a garbage English script.
Does it still hold up? I guess if you were there, kind of. Nostalgia is still going to drive your enjoyment. I never really noticed the flaws, or didn't realize how egregious they were until now.
All that said, I appreciate the remakes coming out to flesh out and expand the story and attempt to make it make sense, but all the extra shit and changing major story beats still make me wish that they remade the OG version instead
I rambled a lot. Sorry.
