How would you build and store a 2x2ft game board and other sizes?

Hi friends! Lately Ive been thinking of building some dedicated boards for small skirmish games, 2ftx2ft mainly. My question is, how would I store it? Im thinking closet.
My second question is construction related, my current thinking is using a 2x2 plywood square as a base, followed by using plywood cutouts to set the border around the edges. This would also allow to stack the boards on top of each other without touching the foam details if they are tall enough! Then I would use pink XPS foam for the actual landmass.
Would be curious to hear everyone’s methods!

Being a staff painter for Zombiesmith has its perks! Like getting some Creevin early. Meet the Creevish Yellowjackets!

Meet the Creevish Yellowjackets 🐝

Hailing from the valley of Slydkaryka the regiment started out of desperation. The recent fidwogian invasion of Creevin left much destruction in its wake, but this community felt it most - their cherished bees have fled the hives due to the poor conditions and have not been seen since. Generations of quar lived here knowing one craft - the cultivation of honey and caring for the bees. With no noble craft occupying their hands, they must now turn to the reclamation and protection of the lands, so that one day their cherished bees might return and the rivers of honey will flow once more. Until then, they will sting like their bees and celebrate each victory, sweet like honey as it is.

[Spoilers Spreading Flames] Played our first game of the new starter set! Loved it, but of course have a question.

Spoilers for first scenario ahead. This one was a bit of a head-scratcher, looking to see if I have correctly interpreted this card.
We have 2 investigators, Dexter and Trish.
Trish has 3 clues on her and Dexter has 2. It is now Dexter’s turn, investigation phase. Dexter is with the Servant of Flame at the Quad. I opt to do the Free Trigger on the act card. I combine the clues from both Trish and Dexter and as a free trigger use it 5 times to complete the 5 damager per investigator requirement to take out the Servant of Flame. Did I do this right?
My explanation - Unless I missed it, there is no limit to free triggers free per turn so I can deal the 5 damage.
Thank you, Im pretty sure the wording is very clear, it is just our very first scenario. The card seems a little bit of a “get out of jail free” card to me for the punishing gameplay of this game!
