Do I update to Android 17?

My Pixel 8a, originally locked to T-Mobile but now currently unlocked runs LineageOS 23.2 and I just got a notification for Android 17, but it looks like it's an update from Google and not a part of LineageOS. I do have GMS services and I am rooted with Magisk.

Anyone notice increased libido and motivation?

For something that is the complete opposite of an opioid I would have expected a decrease in overall motivation since it stops endorphins from doing their thing, especially on a dose like 50mg. A neutral but interesting side effect I've also noticed is a significantly increased libido. I won't get into it but I'd say my libido has roughly tripled, my motivation has roughly doubled and somehow Naltrexone has been an effective antidepressant. I'm guessing a big part of it is cravings are next to zero and I've been completely sober since June 9 and haven't binged on food in two weeks (I was on Naltrexone by then but one relapse on binge eating isn't a huge deal especially since I picked myself back up and ate normally immediately after)

I'm walking more again, sleeping a solid 8 hours every night instead of 12+, sex is on my mind at least once a day which isn't a bad thing, I've went from 235lbs at 5'10" to 220lbs without even trying very hard and I even get a rush from walking which I haven't had since 2020.

This drug is very interesting and I'm constantly noticing changes, both good and neutral

This drug is INSANE

I was put on 50mg of Naltrexone. I was prescribed it for binge eating disorder and SUD/AUD about 3 weeks ago. I had an initial adjustment period at the beginning where at first I felt a little dull, nauseous and tired. After the first week I slowly began to feel better. And now my thought process is completely different. I haven't binged on food in probably 2 weeks and have lost 15lbs as a result (235 to 220lbs) and I already feel the difference in that regard. There was a grocery order and they gave us someone else's order and it had a bottle of vanilla extract yesterday. 1 month ago my desperate ass would've literally chugged it because hey, "free alcohol right?" But the thought never even crossed my mind until a couple of hours ago and I was able to just toss the vanilla extract in the trash (I didn't need it) and I didn't feel like I was missing anything! This drug is incredible. I don't really have any side effects anymore except for some sweating and weird dreams but both are fine with me. I even have my motivation back, I'm starting to walk again and I'm hanging out with my family instead of getting high alone at 2AM and I'm also doing group therapy and genuinely look forward to it instead of wanting to ignore it. I wish y'all have this much success so early on.

Success with Naltrexone + Auvelity!!

About 2 weeks ago I started taking Naltrexone 50mg for a new and official diagnosis of BED and was already on Auvelity for depression and ADHD. After a 3 or so day adjustment period where I had some nausea and anhedonia I literally haven't felt the urge to binge except for one time a few days ago and I was able to stop myself! I'm eating 3 normal sized meals a day and feel satisfied.

TW: >!I weighed 236lbs 2 weeks ago and today I weighed 226lbs. I already feel a slight difference in going up the stairs and I feel slightly more confident in my body even if there's minimal physical changes.!<

I really hope this all lasts, It's been such a big difference

Panic attack

I started taking Naltrexone a week ago and I woke up today very anxious for no reason. My mom got mad at me for something (I'm a disabled adult and sometimes have issues getting things that need to be done) and I had a panic attack. I also suffer from self injurious behavior during panic attacks/meltdowns (I'm level 2 autistic) and I hurt myself way more than usual, the worst in years (dw I'm physically fine I think) and I never felt the urge to hit my head so hard in years. Could this be Naltrexone? I am on 50mg once daily in the morning

Day/night 1 of 50mg Naltrexone

I was prescribed Naltrexone 50mg yesterday and took my first dose around 12 hours ago for BED, AUD and SUD. It could just be a placebo but for the first time in what feels like forever I ate last night and I was able to stop after only ~300 calories and right now when I think about food it feels like a turnoff. No nausea too. I had a bunch of dreams last night, none were bad just weird af and I don't mind that at all

Starting Naltrexone 50mg

So I saw my psychiatrist today. I am autistic, Bipolar 2, have substance use disorder and was just officially diagnosed with BED (I've suspected of having it since I was 13 or so, I'm 23 now.) I told my psychiatrist about a recent relapse with alcohol and brought up my binge eating and he agreed that I do have BED. He put me on Naltrexone for both the substance use disorder and the BED, especially since I've been struggling especially hard with both and have gained a lot of weight over the past several months as a result. I already take Auvelity which has Bupropion in it, my psychiatrist said it would be similar to something called Contrave and from what I've been reading people generally seem to have a good response but I wanna hear from y'all. Thank you

Starting Naltrexone 50mg

So I was just prescribed Naltrexone for Alcohol Use Disorder, general substance abuse cravings and binge eating disorder. For anyone using Naltrexone for this, how did it feel? Did your cravings for both food and drugs/alcohol go away or at least stop being so strong and noisy? I take several other medications, one of which is Auvelity which has Bupropion in it and my psychiatrist said this particular combination might help my intense appetite and food noise.

Anyone with comorbid ADHD try stimulants?

I'm 23, with BP2, Level 2 ASD and ADHD Combined Type. I have been on Ritalin before iirc but I was like 8 years old. The non-stimulant options I've tried are Wellbutrin, Auvelity and Clonidine. I've felt that they never helped the ADHD lack of focus and extremely poor motivation. They did help with impulsivity though which is a good thing. I've been pretty stable for nearly a year, with the longest hypomanic episode lasting only about a week back in Late May and it was not severe and I didn't crash into severe depression afterwards. All four of my other siblings are on ADHD medication, all Concerta. I'm very tired of having scattered thoughts and constantly getting sidetracked and it has seemed to get a little worse over the past decade. If trying out a stimulant seems like a good idea, how should I go about asking my psychiatrist? I unfortunately have a lot of substance abuse history but I am a disabled adult and my mom takes care of setting out my medication twice a day (which helps greatly with taking everything on time.) Thank you

Noctilucent cloud (I think)

I wish I got a better photo of it. It was 7:50 in the evening in North Texas in November 2024 so well after sunset. It faded away super fast. Never saw anything like it, it looked way cooler in person

Can a migraine be "mild"?

So I've had migraines before, mostly as a teenager. They were incredibly painful, like an 8/10 pain, always on one side and I was extremely sensitive to light. It's been at least 3 years since I've had one. I think I might be having one right now but I'm not sure. Earlier today I had an aura-like feeling, my visual snow got 10x worse and now it feels bright af. My head hurts a good bit but it's only like a 4/10. I feel slow af and irritable. The pain is also on one side from right above my left eye all the way back to near my ear. It's acting like a migraine but with like 1/3 the intensity

Off my Lamictal

So I forgot to call in for a refill on my Lamictal. I'm on 200mg once a day in the morning. It's by far the best mood stabilizer I've ever been on, beats the antipsychotics by a lot. I've been off of it since Friday and I didn't call in on Friday so I have to wait until tomorrow to call it in so I likely won't have it until Tuesday morning at the least unfortunately. I'm now really beginning to notice an issue. I couldn't sleep at all last night and I feel super irritable. I already miss being on it, I'm super short with people and I have to isolate myself because I don't want to be a dick. I don't feel manic I think but I'm not entirely sure. This is so dumb
