Klebsiella Aerogenes uti after a cystoscopy

Cloudy Urine - 48 hours after ending Selexid for Klebsiella Aerogenes UTI caused by a cystoscopy

Hello ladies

I got a UTI with Klebsiella Aerogenes after a cystoscopy the 28th of April and I have been treating it with Selexid 8 days course - It showed on my antibiogram at this bacteria is sensitive to it.

I started feeling better already on my first day and I didn’t skip any doses. I felt good the whole time. However, 48 hours after taking the last pill, I started having cloudy urine and a kind of urgency, not as bad as a UTI one, and not painful.

I have read all the scary stories about this specific bacteria, about how it can mutate and become resistant over many antibiotics and I went to the ER last night. They didn’t do a urine strip and just gave me more 1 week of the same antibiotic, Selexid.

I don’t know if it was the right approach here, as it can become resistant to this antibiotic too, but I am taking the course again and hoping for a better outcome.

Anyone here have experience with this bacteria and have any idea if cloudy urine after a treatment for this means a recurrence of just the “rest” of the infection?

TIA

Klebsiella Aerogenes UTI after a cystoscopy

Hey everyone

I got a UTI with Klebsiella Aerogenes after a cystoscopy and I have been treating it with Selexid (pvimecillinam) 8 days course - It showed on my antibiogram at this bacteria is sensitive to it.

Does any one have any idea if cloudy urine after a treatment for this bacteria means a recurrence of just the “rest” of the infection? And how to get rid off it? I read also many scary stories about Cipro so I am willing to take anything but that.

Ifølge dyrkningen var bakterien følsom over for denne.

Dreading with a resistent bacteria from a Cystoscopy

Hey guys

I am day 7 of treatment for a Klebsialle Aerogenes bacteria UTI that I got after a cystoscopy at the hospital. Already after the second antibiotic pill (pivmecilliam- it showed at this bacteria is sensitive) at the same day, I was already feeling much better. I feel great today but super anxious and afraid.

I’ve read all the scary about this specific bacteria, it’s resistance and dangerous and I am SO SO SO afraid and anxious of it is coming back!

Have any of you guys had this bacteria and tell me what to expect after the ending of my treatment?

Hey guys

Thursday the 28th of April I had a cystoscopy because my urine samples showed blood. Four days later I developed a shitty UTI with pain, blood and urgency. The lab did the culture and it showed Enterobacter Aerogenes. I am on antibiotics. It’s very rare that I have UTIs and reading about this bacteria being resistant I am afraid that I will have it recurrent. I live in Europe and I’m taking oral antibiotics Selexid, it says that is sensitive but dammnnn I am so afraid of out of the blue it stops working!!.

Is anyone here who has experience with this bacteria?

TIA

Uh, I had a cystoscopy Thursday the 28th and the urologist didn’t prescribe anything and since last night I am having UTI symptoms (It’s rare for me to have UTI) and a bit blood in my pee, I also saw a little clot. I read that these are normal but on a day 3-4?

Before that I didn’t have problems at all and I thought I was good to go 🤦🏾‍♀️

Has anyone here tried this?

I read different experiences and I am the kind that only look into the bad experiences 😖😖

In my head is like: either it really hurts or the people that say that don’t hurt, are lying.

Guys, I am don’t know what to do anymore. I am dreading the procedure!! I have health anxiety so no matter what I need to know what’s going on in my body. They won’t sedate me, they will only use the famous numbing gel.

I am not so afraid of the post cystoscopy but I live in Denmark and we don’t have medicines like AZO. So I guess I will only use normal medicines and antibiotics.

HELP ME PLEASEEEEEE

Guys, all the tips and tricks are welcome 🙏🏽
