Thinking of writing my own critical theory book about poverty
Give me all your thoughts, y'all. I don't have much time to write these days because of the job but I always absolutely adored critical theory in my university days, and it would be nuts if I eventually wrote a book about it. Below is just a preface, but I will do more spare time research as time obliges. This would mostly be a philosophical memoir to my mom, a person I loved very much. I think I could focus on the poverty affecting single mothers, which, ya know, is all of us these days.
Good preface for a draft?
Title: "Dialectics of Waitress Bitches with Razors under their Tongues who Raise Gay Sons"
>On day one, I was born to a waitress without knowing there was a countdown to life. I was not yet aware of poverty, murder, corruption, or the constant demon in the back of your head. The one that whispers relentlessly into your inner ear: you will die if you don’t do something right now.
At birth, I couldn't speak English or any other language. I was infinitely human, and in no way human at the same time. Yet, there I went, breathing the oxygen we all share regardless.
Then, I was raised by a mother who killed her body in labor just to feed me. Through her, I became aware of critical theory as a permanent, if part-time facet of my innermost psychology.
The poor die young, ugly, and without care. This is the greatest crime we are capable of. The true depth of this disgust lies somewhere on a mountain, undiscovered just yet. Our entire society has committed this crime. It will always haunt a conscious mind.
My preface exists on these pages solely to convince you that you are worthwhile, and that you deserve the greatest of care. I offer this apology to your situation as a human being, despite having no involvement with you. My wish is for you to know the love that all human beings deserve.
And, bam—let’s get to the hardcore Marxism.
