[GameBoy][Late 90s] RPG that started in an ancient Japanese village, battle system involved an icon of your fist jumping all over the screen and trying to press "A" when it was on the enemy

This was one of the first GameBoy games I played -- I think the game itself was in English, but I'm almost certain it was made by a Japanese company. The first level was in a stereotypical ancient Japanese village, and I remember that the first enemy I faced was a regular housecat.

The turn-based battle system had an icon of your weapon (usually just your fist) jumping all over the screen, and the idea was to press "A" when the icon was touching the enemy in order to hit it with your attack; if you missed, your turn ended. I think there was also some kind of fishing minigame involved.

Mumina, the Undead Pharaoh of Castle Hauntvania [OC by u/Hauntuber, art by u/OrangeryJello]

This art depicts the beautiful (and deadly) mummy queen Mumina -- it's a gift for u/Hauntuber, who has created and produced some AMAZING animated videos (the "Hauntvania" series) for our community for a long time. The art itself was very kindly gifted by our very own u/OrangeryJello! Please show both of them some love in the comments!

[PC][1990s] 2-D Haunted House point-and-click adventure/mystery game I played as a kid

When I was a kid in the 90s, my relatives had a kid-friendly haunted house game on their computer that I was obsessed with, and I can't remember the name -- I played it between 1995-1998. I vaguely remember that the artstyle was kind of cartoony, and the objective was to find several keys to escape the house. It took place in a haunted mansion that was 2 stories tall, plus an attic and a basement. Here are some of the random things I recall from it:

  1. There was a fuzzy black cat that was present in every room you went to, and you could usually click on it.

  2. There was a haunted painting of a woman (frame was hung on the main staircase) that would react when you clicked on her.

  3. There was a "snake vacuum" with fangs in the closet that would pop out and hiss at you, scared the heck out of me when I was little haha.

  4. There was an attic (accessed via a ceiling trapdoor in the upstairs hallway) with sunlight poking through the roof, and distant church bells could faintly be heard.

  5. The upstairs hallway had several closed doors, and if you clicked on one of them it caused a bunch of green slimes to go dancing from under one door across the hallway and under another door.

  6. Either the bathtub or the kitchen sink had a monster hiding in it that would react if you clicked it.

  7. The location of the key hidden in each room was randomized, and one time I found one hidden under the doormat.

Overall, I just remember that it was fun to play as a 7-year-old kid. Any help would be much appreciated!
