Why did we never get a conclusion to Sherl's storyline?

Title. It's possible this was clarified somewhere and I just managed to miss it.

One of the most interesting things about the Katrielle era was the implication that Sherl wasn’t originally a talking dog. The game and anime kept teasing that there was something deeper going on and the possibility that he was somehow connected to the larger mystery surrounding Kat’s family. They even give him that specific dialogue about "a tower coming down," implying they knew what his backstory was and had it sketched out in advance. But then… nothing.

It’s weird because Layton games are usually so good at tying together their mysteries. We eventually found out what had happened to Hershel and Luke, but Sherl ended up feeling like an unfired Chekhov gun. Was there an intended explanation for Sherl that got cut, or was he always just meant to be a quirky mascot character?

And while I'm at it, what's with the post-credits scene of the game that says 'Kat will return'? Still waiting...

Shout-out to this anonymous Naboo pilot who barely got beyond the hangar door before getting unceremoniously shot down and crashing. Your service was much appreciated...?

Jack Elsom: "Keir Starmer told ministers tonight that Wes can't win because it would 'destroy our party and country'. He invited all ministers into his study (...) one tells me the response was overwhelmingly positive: 'There was something in his eyes I hadn't seen before, and I liked it.'"

Title. I recently beat the game after all its patches and found it an enjoyable adaptation of the album. There is a good variety of gameplay styles, so while it doesn't excel at any of them there is enough on offer to keep you engaged. I liked the puzzle solving in particular.

However, as we all know, Cigars is only part of the story, with the Blue Lotus offering the conclusion. The game ends on a cliffhanger that directly sets up another instalment. I know Microids love to pump out game after game, as they routinely do for Asterix, so can we expect the same here? Would be a shame to leave it essentially half finished.

Title. I saw this back in January and posted a mini review on here not long after. Since then, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. It's genuinely one of the best musicals I personally have seen in some time; the puppetry is amazing and the (majority of) the songs slap. Soundtrack's out and already in my rotation.

I know it's a bit of a 'Waitrose musical' at the moment with sky-high ticket prices, and it's essentially sold out until 2027, but has anyone else been able to see it? What did you think?
