Okay, is anyone else noticing a bunch of people walking around with weighted vests on? Sometimes running with them too?
Did I miss a trend on social media or something?

I am very sensitive to anything above 80 degrees (26) and I have tried everything to reduce my suffering. Wearing lighter clothing, shorts, tank tops, hydrating a lot, wearing a hat, sunscreen etc. I’m afraid that I’ll have to become a night creature in order to keep up my runs.
I have a set path that I know the distance of. One lap is 1.5 miles and I use that to track my distance by how many laps I take. It seems cumbersome to use a smart watch or phone to constantly monitor my running stats. But, if it works for folks, good for them. I just don’t get it.
Ive made a couple of posts and a lot of folks have told me that they run 30 mpw ornmore and run every day, it seems. I run every other day, but it’s been hard getting my mpw numbers up only running three to four times a week. My average daily mileage is between 3-5 miles with my end of week long run at 6 miles on Saturday or Sunday. I still consider myself an amateur when working towards my goals but Ive made a lot of progress from the last nine months since I started.
Hobby Lobby pours funding into organizations who are trying to take our rights away. Please do not buy from them.
I have been getting mixed information on both.
It’s the first 10k I’ve ran in six months without a lot of pain in my joints. I think my training is going well as a result.
(Edit: Thank you so much for the responses! Yall are awesome. I guess I should just keep listening to my body like I have been doing. My endurance is what matters the most in the long mile runs anyways. And it’s not like im out to break records or anything. Thank you all for your inputs and suggestions!) Ive tried lengthening my stride, but all it does is put me into an unnatural gait that causes my hips to hurt. Should I just keep my short stride and just push my speed more or should I try to find a way to lengthen my stride for more ground coverage, but still keeping the same speed? Anything Im missing maybe?
