35F/VA/CO/F4F Do I draw you in because I’m an artist?

Les4Les F4F. Monogamous. Soft/Sporty Masc. In search of a genuine emotional connection, reasonably aligned morals and a mutual attraction to each other. Any expression welcome. (Femme, butch, masc, stud etc.) Age: 28-42 years ish.

Me: 175lbs, 5’7”, Fit/Sturdy Build, Green Eyes, Thick Lashes, Long brunette ombre to blonde hair, Many Tattoos.

I walk confidently within society fully out and proud. I don’t have a problem with appropriate PDA. I am financially secure without debt.

I am hoping to find someone around VA or CO as I travel between both states a couple of times of the year for family. (I am based in coastal VA , but travel to Denverish, CO to stay a few months.)

I am a newish veteran trying to find my place in the world with a lot of grace, forgiveness and patience for myself in the process. I am in therapy.

I’m looking for a romantic slow burn, getting to know each other at first as friends with flirting, attraction and finding compatibility with the intentions of dating long term. The pace will be determined on feeling safe, with clear communication. I’m in no rush and want things to develop organically with a good foundation.

I’m a laid-back type with a lot of enthusiasm and drive for the things that matter to me the most. I love getting out in nature, bonding with family/friends, exploring/hiking different areas, going to festivals, searching for fossils on a beach, learning history at museums, zoos, art galleries, etc. (If we go to a natural history museum or zoo, you will never need a guide with me around.)

I am equally into relaxing on the couch on a rainy day enjoying a good documentary or show, while snuggled up in my favorite green hoodie with a cup of hot tea and good company. Or painting a forest from a recent adventure, listening to Lana Del Rey or LotR sound track.

By nature, I am not a city dweller, but visiting one occasionally for novelty’s sake can be fun. My social energy levels depends on who I’m with and where we are. Sometimes I need some quiet solo time every now and then to recharge.

I’m a bit of a nerd of many different subjects with a sense of humor, so I know a lot of fun facts and enjoy dorky, but clever puns. Banter is appreciated, but only if everyone is having fun of course.

Physical movement and exercise is an important foundation of my daily life, so someone who also is into regular basic fitness is highly preferred. For me, I run between9-15miles a week and lift 3x per week for mental health, marathon training and fitness.

For my future, I imagine building a semi-independent, peaceful homestead together with my partner in a robust tight community made up of family and friends and an earthly based existence. I’m not anti-technology; I just don’t want it to be in every single corner of my life. I’m thinking of a reasonable, negotiated balance.

Interests: I’m an artist of many mediums, single player open world switch/retro games, anime, shows, movies, diy projects, plants/gardening, animal enthusiast, history, dnd, hockey, reading/writing, evolution, philosophy, exploring, road trips, hiking, music, exercise, brunches etc.

Deal Breakers (In no particular order):

-I am anti-AI.

-No Trump supporters or conservatives/republicans.

-I have a dog, 2 snakes and some invertebrates. I’m more of a dog person, but I can chill with any cat who is okay with dogs. And also, if the cat is indoors. (I don’t support outdoor or declawed cats.)

-Physical intimacy is important to me. I’m probably not compatible with anyone on the ace spectrum.

-I cannot tolerate angry yelling of any sort.

-I’m Atheist. I don’t care if you’re religious, please respect that I am not.

-Be honest, but tactful. I prefer direct communication. I am good at difficult conversations, but expect the same in return.

-I believe in science and empirical evidence.

-No bigotry/discrimination.

-No love bombing.

-I’m child free by choice.

-I’m not into substances or smoking and I only drink occasionally.

-Must be financially responsible.

-Have basic hygiene and tidiness.

-Treats those who owes them nothing with kindness.

If you like what you have read, please DM me and give a basic introduction about yourself. (Any ‘Heys’ or ‘hi’s will be ignored. Sorry.) I’m happy to trade selfies.

*If at any time you’re not feeling it, the attraction isn’t there or the vibes aren’t right, please speak up and I will do the same. People should be comfortable with saying they aren’t into it without feeling guilt or fear of retaliation. That’s just the nature of dating.

Looking for a movie about high school girls.

Im certain it was released late 90’s early 2000’s. And it’s about a group of teenage girls going to a dance or something, but the scene I distinctly remember was the gothy lone wolf girl on the roof or outside where the guy dressed in a black cowboy hat who doesn’t talk and follows her around, offers to light her cigarette after she laments that being a lesbian didn’t work out. I appreciate any help.

Why do so many of us have names that start with a ‘K’?

It’s anecdotal, but I know so many lesbians, to include myself, who have names that start with a ‘K’. Is it just me noticing this phenomenon?

Will it affect my endurance training if I do shorter routes everyday instead of longer routes every other day?

The heat is too much to run anymore than 1.5 per day without getting heat exhaustion (It’s been 95-102 last week). I usually try to hit 12-16mpw. I was thinking about going to a short run every day than a longer every other day just so that I can stay consistent but no risk my health. I will still do a longer capstone run on the weekend. Will this schedule affect my endurance training towards a half marathon?

Moto 8GB Stylus 2026

Hello! I’m looking into getting a Moto 8GB Stylus 2026 to switch from my iphone. I have a few questions about it. Does it have ai on it? And if it does, can it be disabled/removed? Does it have the annoying pop ups I sometimes hear about on reviews? How much do yall like the battery/camera? If you have one, how much do you like it? Thank you!

Has anyone else had to drastically cut their miles per week due to the heat?

I live in a very hot part of the country. It’s 85+ even in the evenings and early mornings. As a result, my mpw has been cut in half or more because of how heat sensitive I am. I get heat exhaustion very easily and quickly. I drink ice water, have loose clothing, wear full spectrum sunscreen, run without a shirt on etc. I can’t find a balance other than getting in as many miles as I can when it rains, but it’s inconsistent. And running inside is out because treadmills hurt my legs to run on. I’m afraid my fall plans for the 10k and half marathon season are cooked. (Pun intended) Edit: looks like fate may smile upon me. It’s supposed to rain all week next week. 🥳

There is no such thing as ‘gender roles’.

When I think of ‘gender roles’ I think of how house holds divide up labor in chores and expectations on family members. And we all grew up thinking of a typical household; the mom stays at home, cooks, cleans, has emotional labor, looks after kids etc. and the father works, mows the lawn, fixes things etc. However, with women getting more rights and financial independence, this image of life is crumbling. We know that forcing people to fit into these roles is now becoming more hurtful than helpful. A woman can learn and do any role around the house and a man can do the same. A straight married couple only chooses to fall into their ‘roles’ because that’s what they know, but if they chose to mix it up, then not much would change in the way of divided labor in the home. And for context, I am not talking about how their kids refer to their parents and how their parents relate to their kids, but even that can be challenged with only general society getting in the way of how they define themselves.

Does running and cardio in general help to reduce body composition?

Ive been running for nine months. My leg muscles have gotten stronger and more muscular/lean, which is awesome, but the rest of my body hasn’t changed much in composition. I have stomach and love handles that I want to get rid of. I know most of the work is done in my diet. However, I eat clean. Lean protein, dark green veggies, clean carbs, fruit etc. I also can’t afford to go to the gym rn to lift. So Im a bit on my own. If yall have seen changes in your body, how long did it take you? And I doing anything wrong?

Anyone else moving their run time to evenings or early mornings beat the heat?

I am very sensitive to anything above 80 degrees (26) and I have tried everything to reduce my suffering. Wearing lighter clothing, shorts, tank tops, hydrating a lot, wearing a hat, sunscreen etc. I’m afraid that I’ll have to become a night creature in order to keep up my runs.

Does anyone else not use tech to track your runs and just goes old school?

I have a set path that I know the distance of. One lap is 1.5 miles and I use that to track my distance by how many laps I take. It seems cumbersome to use a smart watch or phone to constantly monitor my running stats. But, if it works for folks, good for them. I just don’t get it.

Am I supposed to run every day while training for a half marathon?

Ive made a couple of posts and a lot of folks have told me that they run 30 mpw ornmore and run every day, it seems. I run every other day, but it’s been hard getting my mpw numbers up only running three to four times a week. My average daily mileage is between 3-5 miles with my end of week long run at 6 miles on Saturday or Sunday. I still consider myself an amateur when working towards my goals but Ive made a lot of progress from the last nine months since I started.

When it comes to endurance running, which more important; the accumulated total mpw or the distance on your longest run during the week?

I have been getting mixed information on both.

(Edit: Thank you so much for the responses! Yall are awesome. I guess I should just keep listening to my body like I have been doing. My endurance is what matters the most in the long mile runs anyways. And it’s not like im out to break records or anything. Thank you all for your inputs and suggestions!) Ive tried lengthening my stride, but all it does is put me into an unnatural gait that causes my hips to hurt. Should I just keep my short stride and just push my speed more or should I try to find a way to lengthen my stride for more ground coverage, but still keeping the same speed? Anything Im missing maybe?
