Is walking a lot a good form of PT when you haven’t been cleared to run?
Just wanted to hear opinions from the masses on this. Did walking a lot help you build strength in your tendon/calf?

I’m not from the US but I’ve been here before and tried cotton candy Faygo and it’s my favorite soda. But it’s so hard to find. I’m staying in Colorado and I’ve checked my local Walmart and novelty soda shops but no luck. Last time I found it in NC it was in a random gas station. I’ve asked the soda shop employee and they aren’t sure where to find it either. Anyone know where I can get some in Colorado before I end my trip?
Basically title. Im 5 months post op and still making slow gains in calf strength. I do tons of assisted single leg calf raises, balance pad work, squats and lunges as well. My main goal is to get my calf strength back to normal. Are there any other workouts i should do that help build back calf strength that i might be neglecting?

Is my form ok? This was my 3rd set of 5 at a weight that is very heavy for me, it felt fine but I wasn’t sure if I was arching my back too much
Hi all,
Looking for some exercises/tips and tricks to fill in hip dips.
I am aware that genetics is a massive part, but i would like to make an effort where possible to minimise the appearance.
I’m quite happy with how my glutes look from the side, but am very unhappy with how it looks from the back and front.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :))
also advice on cable kickbacks would be appreciated- have always struggled to do these (discomfort in hip) and believe i have the form wrong. TIA
on my current leg/ glute day workouts i do combination of the following
warmup: 10 mins on treadmill incline or stair master
- hip thrusts
- bulgarian split squats
- barbell squats
- leg press
- backward lunges/step backs (on smith machine) this is a new addition
- hyper extensions
- calf raises
- hamstring curls
stretching for cooldown
I’m a 24 yr old female, I’m 5’10. I’ve never been very flexible, noticeably in my hamstrings. It has always been uncomfortable to touch my toes because of my hamstrings. I lift twice a week and kick-box twice a week. The issue I keep running into is my hamstrings never feel recovered. They are so tight after a leg day I need 3-4 days off legs to recover and even then they are still tight, just bearable. I do dynamic stretching before each lift, I have strong glutes and quads, but my hamstrings never seem to show growth or progress. My biggest concern is how painfully tight they get. After a lift I can’t even bend down to touch my toes without feeling a very tight pull. If I lay down, I can’t get my leg 90 degrees upright without burning pain in my hamstrings, mostly behind my knee, intense pain if I push my knee flat. I can’t v sit past my knees. I feel like the tight hamstrings are stunting my growth. I included a picture so you can see how underdeveloped they are compared to my quads and glutes. It’s gotten worse over the years and especially with upping my load. What stretches should I be doing?
Thanks for your input!!
I’m 10 weeks post surgery and just left the camboot 3 weeks ago. When I left the boot at 7 weeks post op my PT gave me a quarter inch lift to put in my regular shoes to help with the transition from the boot but I didn’t use it. Then I suddenly thought “oh fuck I should have used it, did I mess up my progress?” And I keep getting in my head and freaking myself out about it. I’m so anxious and worried that I’m gonna cause elongation and have permanent weakness on the ruptured ankle. When I first left the boot I walked with a hard limp, now I walk with very little limp but I have to walk slowly and deliberately.
Is not using the lift after transitioning from the boot something that actually could cause elongation or am I just in my head way too much about it? How would I actually know if I’m elongating the tendon too much? Seems like it’s something you don’t know until the end of your recovery which is what freaks me out.
