My latest bloods

My cortisol has come up from 318 to 324. My TSH is sitting at 3.3. My FSH and LH are normal (low). My testosterone is 9.8.

I'm not medicated for SAI but I still think I have issue as I get jittery, sweaty and steroids I have took in the past give me my life bacl for the short time I'm on them. Endocrinology happy with bloods and put me back on TRT. I was trying to avoid TRT because I thought it was working on its own as I noticed morning glory come back.

Quetiapine Yes or No?

It makes me feel irritated when falling asleep. It's for sleep and mood. Can't sleep without it as antidepressants destroyed my sleep.

I would like to ask the community if they have any success with valium/diazipam

When I am flaring whether it's the FND pain or foggy head, I sometimes take diazepam only low dose and I seam to have a substantial improvement in symptoms. It even gives me energy. I wonder what my gaba is doing and if it has anything to do with my FND? I try avoid taking it as much as possible.

I'm posting about possible secondary adrenal insufficiency from the pituitary.

I was found to have low FSH and low FH which are pituitary hormones. I was also found to be positive for TPO antibodies and put straight onto levothyroxine without the doctors given any though that if a patient has low FSH and low LH a short syncathen test should be ordered if cortisol sits in a grey area. My grey area was 318nmol. Okay so not below 300 which is the cut off. However, I have read up in multiple places that if patient has low FSH and LH with cortisol below 450nmol. A short syncathen test should be ordered. I spoke to endocrinology recently who agreed to check my ACTH alongside cortisol and a re check of pituitary hormones. Endocrinology did this test and I am awaiting result. What they said was "if your acth is low and your cortisol is normal then we won't do a short syncathen test" - - - - - - - - my symptoms, ultra fatigue, stiffness, muscle aches, muscle fatigue, muscle wasting, sweating mainly around abdomen and postural hypotension. It says in black and white I should have short syncathen before I even started levothyroxine. So why am I getting the run around from endocrinology? Say my ACTH comes back low thye still won't do the hsort syncathen. What do I do?

I am awaiting tribunal but already get pip.

The award I got was for a new application. I had tribunal previously which was nil and void. I then have second tribunal. The second tribunal judge asked "where did we go wrong". It got adjourned so I am awaiting tribunal again. They didn't know I have FND, POTS, autism, adhd, mental health issues, under load of clinics. My first ever application stated I have Innapropriate sinus tachycardia and it's not as bad as POTS, that's what they wrote. Innapropriate sinus tachycardia is worse than POTS because you can be sitting with a fast heart rate. I also have pots anyway but regardless. So basically I am fighting for the first two years which I applied in the first place. Not sure what's gonna happen. They asked for medical records the tribunal which my wife sent them. My life completely changed in 2024 due to illness. Before that I was already fighting the high heart rate, the autoimmune disease. I was trying to work whilst been very ill. They should be able to see from my medical records just how ill I am.

This may sound counter productive for zyn quitters

I quit zyn and vaped for a long time. I tried zyn again and symptoms flared again migrianes etc. I then vaped again and got sick of vaping and the leaking of the vape etc. So I then started nordic spirit. Nordic spirit doesn't give me the symptoms zyn gave me. So I am assuming it's not the nicotine but a nasty ingredient in the zyns?

What went wrong? Postural hypotension.

As above. I was getting constant postural hypotension to the point my vision went dark. Now I'm scoffing my face with junk it's gone away. I took salt, magnesium and potassium. So why. Was it the low carbs? I ate barely any carbs because I have fructan intolerance but ate the fruits in allowed. Plenty of too.

I need some advice please

I have endo appointment coming up. I need a hsort syncathen test.

My previous cortisol was 317. I have had previous lh and fsh and currently Low Testosterone. This proves my pituitary is not signalling correctly. Pituitary MRI was clean. I had a deep tissue scalp infection for two years which caused ever lasting pain so I think pain sensitization has caused functional hypopituitarism.

My low cortisol symptoms are abdominal sweating, ultra fatigue, muscle weakness, hypotension that's worsened with vison blackouts and I and massive response to synthetic steroid prednisolone. I've had every autoimmune possibility ruled out. Predinolosone brings back strength, wakefulness and helps pain and hypotension.

I have a feeling he is going to refuse and that's what I am concerned about. It seams every test I have needed has been refused. I have read up that blunted signalling can cause low cortisol through acth so I'm thinking I need to know if I have secondary adrenal insufficiency. I've also read that if LH and FSH are caught low once then a short syncathen test should be done ASAP. Where do I go with this please any advice welcome. I'm living life like a 90 year old at the age of 39.

I'm new to this sub and I've already seen a huge misconception. "Hashimoto's only attacks the thyroid"

Many people, including some general practitioners treat Hashimoto's as if it were simply an "underactive thyroid" (hypothyroidism), when it is actually a systemic immune system disorder that happens to target the thyroid gland.

IT CAUSES CHRONIC LOW GRADE INFLAMMATION THROUGH OUT YOUR BODY!

Cytokines that cross the bbb.

Leaky Gut

Joint and muscle aches and pains

Nerve damage

Encephalopathy

Impacts the autonomic nervous system and can be comorbid wihh POTS

Hypotension

Hypertension

The list goes on and on.

I am taking LDN for nerve pain & Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

I am currently in titration weeks on 2ml going up 0.5ml a week until I reach 4.5ml then pharmacy will switch me to 4.5mg tablets.

I have severe neck osteoarthritis which causes nasty spasms and nerve pain.

My Tpo antibodies are extremely high for my thyroid. Hospital won't repeat my Tpo bloods because they said either positive or negative but although that is true depending on how high the antibodies load is depends on what symptoms it causes and it can go as far as encephalopathy.

Suffered occipital, cranial and temporal neuralgia after thunderclap headache which now I know was a medication that caused it. It caused ischemia in all my head nerves from blood pressure drop and shock. Still recovering but far better than I was 3 months ago.

So I have researched the LDN. I can see its good for reducing micro and neuro inflammation. It is also said to be good for reducing the hashimoto's tpo antibodies and can sometimes reverse hashimoto's and put it into remission mensing I may not need hormone replacement.

The only side effect I have noticed is constipation just like when I took codeine for pain previously. Since it acts on opoid receptors this makes sense and yes I know you don't mix opoids with LDN. This was like a year and half ago I took codeine which did nothing for my pain anyway.

I am in the UK. I asked endocrinology what my Tpo numbers were and he refused to answer but last endo consultant said they were extremely high. I may need to get a private blood test like a year after taking LDN to see if it has reduced the tpo load. GP will keep and eye on my TSH. If TSH goes hyper then I will stop levothyroxine and test tpo load. So this would mean remission.

Anyone else taking it for hashimoto's?

I asked chat gpt to illustrate my neck mri with lines pointing to issues with what issues are and asked to include normal neck. This is cool.

Just putting this out there. Check your thyroid levels and thyroid auto antibodies tpo.

Yes hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis can cause occipital and cranial neuralgia.

Just worth noting.
