Dose it worth 4years of hard work?!

After 4 years of working on this game, even when almost no one believed in me, my game is finally on Steam.

For a long time, people thought I was wasting my days, staying inside and doing nothing. But I was building something I truly love.

Before I Sleep is now live on Steam, and this moment means more to me than I can explain.

If it looks interesting to you, wishlisting the game would help me a lot.

I’m building a fast-paced cyberpunk FPS 4 years later… still building

Hey everyone, I’m a solo indie dev working on Before I Sleep.

I wanted to share a clip of the movement/combat system from my latest build and get some feedback from people who enjoy fast FPS games.

The idea behind the game is that you wake up as J-L, a half-human/half-machine worker controlled by a factory intelligence called “The Boss.” You have no memories, but your body still remembers how to fight.

The main thing I’m experimenting with is momentum-based combat — keeping your movement flowing instead of stopping behind cover:

  • Grappling hooks to quickly reposition
  • Shotgun recoil boosts to launch yourself across areas
  • Katana combat for close-range kills
  • Portal-style movement tools to create unexpected routes
