I was fired after an accident at work where it was determined that I was at fault. It was unexpected and I had to sell what I could to pay my rent. I tried for unemployment and was denied. I have another job now but I don’t get paid until the 16th. I am running low on food as well as my cats. I can’t afford to buy meals at work for lunch so I’ve been going without. I’m requesting a handout only because I’m behind on other bills due to the job loss but if necessary I can pay whoever can help me back on the 16th. Thank you for reading.

ETA: My car was totaled last year and I can’t really afford to get to and from places that may offer food assistance.

I filed for unemployment and wasn’t eligible. I found another job but I don’t get paid until the 16th. I have 3 cats who have 6 days worth of food. I don’t have any meat, fruit or vegetables to eat and I can’t afford to buy meals at work for lunch. I’m worried I’m going to get sick if I can’t eat a decent meal other than ramen. Sunday night around 9:30pm, my boyfriend and I heard a gunshot right next to our porch, we turned off the lights and got away from the windows. After a few minutes we peeked outside the blinds, my boyfriend said he saw a white sedan drive off. Unfortunately, gunshots are pretty common in my area so we didn’t report it that time.

A few hours ago, around 11:30pm, there were 5 gunshots fired next to our porch AGAIN. Since that had just happened Sunday, we decided to call 911. The dispatcher took the information and said that someone would check it out. I also posted in my Neighborhood forum and someone commented saying they saw a man get out of a white car and fire a gun into the woods behind my building then he sped off. I felt that it was valuable information so I called the non-emergency line to tell them and they told me call 911. The guy who answered told me to call back if anything else happened.

Well, I just looked outside my window like 30 minutes ago out and saw a white sedan parked outside my building, their lights dimmed, right where the shooting was said to take place. My boyfriend walked outside to get the license plate and when they saw him, they drove off. I obviously don’t know if this vehicle is related so I was hesitant to call again and report it but I had a bad feeling that if I didn’t report it, something bad could happen to someone. I don’t want that on my consience. So, I once again called 911 (since I was told to call them and not non-emergency, even if it was just with more information). The lady who answered told me she didn’t understand the situation and said she didn’t know how she was supposed to help me since there wasn’t an active shooting and they already drove off. I said I was just calling to give her the information in case it was useful. She then said the same thing and asked how can she help? I said I don’t need help I’m just giving you information. She said she would take down the license plate but it wouldn’t go anywhere. I was a little taken aback at this point so I said don’t worry about it and hung up.

Like did I just get a shitty dispatcher or was my information actually useless? It’s like if someone tried to break into my house and I called 911 but the person who tried to break in already left. Since they’re gone, would 911 just tell me there’s nothing they can do? It’s not like I expected them to jump into action on a hunch but I figured they would at least be investigating since this happened twice in 3 days and multiple people witnessed a white sedan fleeing the scene??

I feel sorry for Norman. I feel like he could’ve had a chance at normalcy if it weren’t for the trauma he’s experienced his whole life, especially as a child. If Norma wasn’t so worried about losing him and got him help earlier (or even now) he probably would’ve never done anything he has up to this point. I get that he’s a psychopath but therapy and meds do wonders.

I noticed that after experiencing the trauma of being locked in that box for days, it seems that he has given into his ways and is almost embracing it.

I’m sure there will come a point when I don’t feel sorry for him but I will still feel sad that things could’ve been different. He really was a nice person only concerned about protecting his loved ones at first.

I’m sure this has been suggested before but I got to thinking about a trade system for skins and such. I thought it would be cool to save your duplicates and be able to trade them with friends. So if I have a cool skin for a character that I don’t really play and vice versa, a trade could be made for a skin I want for a character I do play. Anyone else?

Especially in the gaming community. I get that it’s dominated by men but I’m tired of being called a he, man, bro, dude etc. I see it everywhere, not just while gaming. On reddit posts as well.

My boyfriend is especially bad about this. We might see someone driving erratically and he says something like “look how he’s driving”. I ask why he says he instead of they or something else and he says it’s just a habit.

And before someone says bro and dude can be used for men and women, sure but it’s the context.

I’ve been playing for almost 2 years, have almost 600 hours across Steam and Xbox. But lately majority of matches I play, someone goes AFK after dying a couple times or someone starts trolling because they’re losing their lane or mad they died. Sometimes a 4v5 can be pulled off but it’s more work and less fun.

I started ranked recently, maybe have 20 games, and it’s even worse in ranked. I started at Bronze 1 and I’m already back to Bronze 3.

It sucks bc I know I’m good, some lanes/roles I have a 75% win rate but I can’t rank up so I mostly play quick match.

I know the 30/30/40 rule and I agree in theory but the AFKs and trolls are too much for me to even test that theory.

I have almost 100 people blocked who have either disconnected or been trolling and I just started blocking people maybe 2 weeks ago.

I’ve also noticed when you block people, they can still play on the enemy team against you but not with you.

I have enough for the Shinbi or Skylar skin (two of my mains) but I’m hesitant that I might like the next drops skins better. Anyone else? Any idea on which skins will be coming, or is it randomized?

For me, Legion and Yin have been an issue.

I’ve been playing for almost 2 years, mainly jungle Khaimera and offlane Shinbi. Got stuck in support one round and on a whim chose Dekker. First game went 3/0/8. Most recent game 1/1/11. Needless to say, I’m going to main Dekker for a bit. 😅

Anyways, I did the recommended build at first to get a feel for her, then tried a couple more offensive builds. I noticed her wave clear is really slow, so I
did an attack speed build one round but got demolished. I know I should focus on magical damage, ability haste and mana regen but, any other tips or ways to play dekker where she can be more in the enemies face?
